wirinet: So how many ndigbo sons and daughters would need to be sacrificed in order for the zoo army to soil their image? 100, 1000 or even 100000?
You mean you are ready to sacrifice up to 1 million people just to provide future evidence for prosecution. I thought you guys said you place value on the life and welfare of your people.
A true leader would sacrifice his own life for his people and not sacrifice the lives of his people for himself.
It is foolishness to confront the army in any third world country and not an act of bravery.
The question really is how many people do the Zoo army want to kill to proof they cannot defeat an idea with bullets?
By the way, Military deployment is an expensive venture. The clueless government is just engaging in needless waste of scarce funds. They'll achieve nothing with this deployment, having wasted so much money paying logistics, soldiers allowance, and maintain of equipment.
Sheer waste of resources, against throwing protesters.
Alcatraz007: If i say i am not disappointed in the way and manner igbos have conducted themselves thus far, i would be lying.
I am not happy at all! What led to all these aggressive posturing?
Igbos do not exist to make you happy. Pursue your happiness elsewhere. I'm sure you have enough jesters in yorubaland for this purpose!
Referendum is what we asked for. If the zoo army want to continue to soil their image, and continue to provide evidence for future prosecution, we'll oblige.
They can't kill us all, and they can't kill the idea of Biafra!
About time they started digging trenches to entrap those APCs/Tanks or dissuade them. And while at it, IPOB should invest some money in (para)medics. No time looking disorganised when army shoot at foot soldiers as these will most likely increase.
Sijo01: These machines and personnel are needed in the North East not SE & SS
Keeping them in the SE / SS is not a bad idea. When the time comes, Biafran will need every hardware she can lay her hands on. Now we need fighter jets too.
Gourdoinc: lol. illiterate. I can imagine how many times you read and re-read that post before posting it. you are a chancer. A fraud, and no grammar here can change that fact you know about yourself deep inside.
Mr grammar with good punctuation, open a thread and write your own nonsense so we can come give you a winners belt. anu mpama.
Gourdoinc: no point reading the rest because your command of English is very limited. we know that play Mr miscreant. we understand. many like you with empty heads prefered not to type anything. but when ignorance is mixed with foolishness. what you typed there is the result. so Bleep off
Actually the word you were trying to use is - Comprehension . Command is used for spoken or written words, while comprehension applies when reading/understanding.
One more thing, the way you presented your view will surely put off many readers. Your sentences are unnecessarily long, and your punctuations are suspect. You don't even know the importance of capitalization. What kind of reaction were you expecting? A pat on the back?
Perhaps you should spend some time improving your writing and presentation skills , rather than embarrassing yourself with this disaster you are foaming in the mouth over.
Gourdoinc: I watched /listened to alot of videos/audios during the radio biafra era, I observed the keen interests the uneducated ones in the south east and south south paid to those messages. I, like many other igbos assumed this is noise and should be ignored, yet we didn't understand that in a disenfranchised people, seeds of hate, discord and propaganda are easily sown to good effect. sooner than we knew it, the social media sphere was overtaken with hateful igbos who abused and threatened death on their neighbours, propaganda messages of perceived crimes and hurt by the northern and western groups and while as usual people like me assumed these miscreants aren't the respectable and hard working igbos business men scattered across the world, events from that period till now have proven that Ndi igbo have suddenly lost their senses.
igbo people. have suffered in Nigeria, take a trip across igbo land and observe how much suffering exists there. no meaningful trade value (local industries or multinationals), absence of federal presence, marginalization on federal appointments, contracts and allocation. these are very very true and it's not surprising the glut of unhappy faces which greets a visitor to a typical igbo village. many thrre haven't seen the good life, the good life can only buy exist outside igbo land. infact it clear that when something comes, the igbo man will be excluded on purpose for reasons known to the north and west. this has created a deep seated hatred and it's no surprise the IPOB has found able bodied men (educated and uneducated) to do their biddings with the false hope that all their disenfranchisement will be solved by a new nation.
the old biafra didn't fail only militarily (read your history) it also failed within. biafra failed weeks after is announcement and it's internal squabbles led to its military demise. this all points out that even a noble idea such as biafra could fail if not founded on sound principles. look at the IPOB biafran agenda, a biafran country without defined members, a country without good relations with its soon to be neighbours, a country whose elite are silent while the pawns are at the forefront. a country whose major supporters are either with British passports (Kanu) or based outside the south east or Nigeria. it must be pointed out that majority of these people have no stake (meaningful business) in the entire igbo land.
a question to the IPOB based biafran supporters I ask is this, since Nigeria existed especially post military era, have we had governors, senators and reps who were igbo or not?
did these people receive their allocations or not ?
where are these monies or infrastructure ?
where these governors been yoruba Muslims or Fulani?
was there any time another tribe stopped igbo land from having state based development even though federal government disenfranchised us.
what are the states of the state roads, local govt roads, state infrastructure etc yet for these years allocations were received freely from the criminal model of damaging the Niger delta for the good of others.
biafra has always existed in every state and every local govt. because every state is homogeneous in its govt structure very similar to what the biafran model preaches. yet what have we to show for it.
igbos invested heavily nationwide and today are the back bone of development everywhere, how come many didn't look towards home and repartiete this money if at all. there was a consciousness towards a future country. how come abia state the home state of Nnamdi Kanu is a failed state, destroyed by igbo men who regularly received billions of naira in federal allocation. even during the boom years of president Jonathan. yet we have refused to see that the problem lies in the Nigerian in each and everyone of us and not our tribes.
ndi-igbo need orientation, we need to look towards home and develop our region, we must pursue investments in our region and fight vehemently against bad leaders such as okorocha and orji etc who have proved to be bad leaders time and time again. we can't be lions outside our region and cats within it. igbo must unite and fight for the development of our region via pro igbo development agenda. the federal govt didn't develop any region, we igbos did that via Personal efforts. govt only built roads which didn't even last. trade was facilitated by us, industries were facilitated by us, good housing scheme were facilitated by us and because we are generally peaceful people, we can always attract forgein investment.
a homogeneous country called biafra isn't a solution, a country with Yorubas and hausa as enemies isn't the solution. a strong igbo development initiative which encourages every igbo person outside igbo land to look towards our own region and contribute towards it's development should be our primary interest.
Nnamdi Kanu has nothing to offer asides hate, propaganda and discord. he is focusing on hate and revenge than focusing on how to better the lives of Ndi igbo and it's region.
You the one who have lost your senses, not Ndi Igbo.
No point reading the rest, cos I'm sure they'll be complete jargons!
trueconscience: I thought it was a regular station as I listened and enjoyed gospel tunes from 102.1 fm yesterday until I noticed something was off.
The programming was swapped to a news documentary where the subject on repeat was Buhari and the post election violence episode of 2011. This later progressed to full-blown hate broadcast.
After a while, the station went off air, silence.
Again at night, it was back on, spreading hate, advising Igbos in the North to return home. Repeatedly focused on the noun "hausa-Fulani". Talks about our oil wells are owned by northerners and the need for Biafra.
The station didn't fail to speak against the Anambra November 18,2017 election. Saying anybody who voted in the election would die along with their families!
What is Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) doing?
Hate is being planted. Propaganda is at work. The storm is being planted. Remember Rwanda
It is well with Nigeria
Referendum will decide all these. No need to panic!
OjukwuWarBird: We will secure our territory like the East Timor people and if the military tries to invade us, we will push them into Nigerian territory.
This will force the UN to intervene and in turn we will seek for a Referendum to settle the matter.
OjukwuWarBird: Rearresting Kanu is the justification he needs for arm struggle
The reason Kanu is so confident, is because he knows that if the Arewa youths are not arrested alongside him, the Igbos will be inflamed to pick up arms.
Once the Igbos are inflamed to fight, weapons entering the region would be in the hands of angry people
Remember the case of Moses and the death of the Egyptian fighting an Israeli
As long as the Jews were not inflamed enough to fight for their freedom, no amount of smuggled weapons can convinced them to fight.
In summary, he wants to use his death to inflame the Igbos to rise in anger which will see a lot of Igbos willing to pick up arms
If Igbos are armed, who are we going to fight? I personally don't want Igboland to be battle ground, especially for sake of fighting. If Kanu is re-arrested, is that enough to pick up arms and start a fight? And what will the fight be about? Freeing him or fighting for Biafra?
jomonic: Kanu is too intelligent to make this pronouncement. You cannot willingly provide opportunity for the enemy to nail you like they did to Ken Saro Wiwa. What IPOB wants is justice and equity or peaceful dissolution not to burn down Nigeria. If dissolution is the outcome we will still need Nigeria as partners in international trade.
There is a thin like between insanity and ingenuity. It is the end that justify the means. The jury is out on where all these will end. I hope Biafra becomes much more real though. Much has been sacrificed/accomplished.
Yeah. Just finished watching it. It was around 9:35 minutes he said it.
hmmm. Well, we wait with bated breath.
I'm pretty sure he will be (re)arrested when next he goes for his court hearing. As for whether those who listened to him have the capacity to burn the Zoo if/when he re-arrested is a different thing. Though some may die trying...
Baawaa: We were in Opposition for long in the SW, Our Leader AWOLOWO was jailed, Abiola Election was annulled, he was killed, his wife was killed, his business was killed. Ajasin was put under house arrest, Abraham Adesanya was shot and the bullets went like raindrops, Bola Ige was murdered in Ibadan, our elections were rigged with provoking audacity, Tinubu was attacked politically and almost brought down but we fought without destroying Nigeria. We conquered without silly blackmail!!!!!!
There is a country called NIGERIA and DEMOCRACY has come to stay, if you can't play with common sense, you will just die of hypocritical ranting!
Cowardly and Gallantry are different way of doing things. Both can achieve result. But everyone should play by his strength. Igbos cannot and should not learn to be like Yorubas!
Oshidaguy: Op I spit on your face for this your lie. keep hating while the sun keep rising.
I doubt if Op made the video himself. He was just trying to keep the fire burning. Perhaps he should have taken time to confirm. A lot of people will do anything to drive traffic.
The Young Yorubas for Freedom has fully implemented the decision by the Hausa/Fulani's led Federal Government of Nigeria to purchase with the Yoruba's money weapons from the United States, the United Kingdom and Russia to kill Yoruba people demanding for Oduduwa Republic, but disguising as fighting Boko Haram and piracy.
@12 secs after you heard "..under oath". Did you notice the voice continued speaking even when his mouth wasn't moving?
@ 18 secs when the voice said " you are under direct order from me.", did you notice there was no reaction from those directly facing him, even when there was chorus of yes in the background?
@24 secs when the voice said "...burn Nigeria down...? Did you notice there was no reaction to his right, those directly facing him.
These are just few. There are many irregularities in the video. I think it was a different event and the audio was only superimposed on it.
Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.
When contacted over the security of the premises by soldiers, the Public Relations Officer in charge of 34 Artillery Brigade, Captain Haruna Tagwai, said “the army has already provided security on the premises, but the property belongs to the Ministry of Defence.” He said “if you want to get more fact about it, you can contact the press’s secretary in the Ministry of Defence.”
So the premises is actually a property of Ministry of Defense? Or what does the bolded mean?
Jesusloveyou: Idiotic pig of Biafra charge and bail lawyer Why not go back to your village because if arewa youth leader is arrested, that will be the end of all Igbo in the north. Is easier to sacrifice idiotic pig of Biafra leaders head for peace to reign in Nigeria.
Don't you think you should change your moniker? It's great irony when juxtaposed with your mindset.
Sapiosexuality: That's true but we have ask what a person plans to achieve by doing something with such ambiguity. Would it help Biafra if that video sends an impression of war? Will anyone be wrong to assume that Kanu is training an army against Nigeria? What impression does he send? What exactly does he plan to achieve? Those are important questions. Kanu is a mortal and not a God and should be alerted when he goofs.
Ambiguity is itself is a purpose/strategy. It keeps you guessing, while other things are in the works.
The Israelis used to have what they termed "strategic ambiguity" in relation to their nuclear arsenal.
