Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by pointednose: 6:17pm On Sep 12, 2019
Good evening everyone,

I went on missionary journey in the year 2017. It was a medical visa. The visa has expired since April 2019. I have been scared to go for renewal because of the news about denial because of cheap bills.

Please what has been happening as regards that? How have people been renewing these days?

Thank you very much.

Please house I’m really confused and I don’t know what to do
My dad gave my uncle some money to give to an agent he knows to start processing my TRV and so far he has sent 120k to him, since 20th May o, we first sent 100k and later 20k for medicals and I know there’s nothing like that but my dad waved it Since then till now I’ve not done my biometrics and I’ve been disturbing my dad for that because I don’t have the agent’s number neither does my dad because my uncle is the middle man between the agent and us, last week my dad said the agent said when it’s time for biometrics I’ll come over to Lagos, biko I don’t understand why it’s taking too long for the biometrics and na paper application. I’m not allowing my dad to pay a dime till I go for my biometrics because we are to balance him 680k total of 800k and I warned them not to stamp any rubbish on my passport till I go for my biometrics..

Secondly my dad’s business partner said we should try and collect my passport from them so he can get me a UK visa since he’s traveling to UK in November, he wants to take me along with him,

My Questions now are:

First, my TRV application is a paper application according to the agent, how long does it take to submit biometrics after submitting the application because it’s four months now and nothing yet,

Secondly, should I wait to submit my biometrics or request for my passport back and go ahead with UK visa

My problem no be money it’s time wasted because I’m ready to wait for my TRV till anytime it’s approved because he said it’s gonna be approved we should just give him time but I don’t wanna end up waiting and miss the UK opportunity if I had given my biometrics I’ll be calm

Landers I need una help oooo
If I were you, I will run so fast. Advise your dad not to give him a dime again. It's obvious you can't get what you have paid back. Collect your passport from him. Most of the agents use fake documents...you don't want to lose your future travel opportunities

As per UK, I'm not sure tagging along with your uncle as an adult looks good enough for a strong application though. Just my thoughts.

Day 73 - Finally got an update
QTE
I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.
UNQTE

Gave a detailed LOE showing a day to day itinerary breakdown, even purchased Tourist reservation(Toronto City Pass) worth $72.73 , Hotel reservation and flight reservation all in good order. The honest truth is i legit wanted to go for vacation purposes only so i'm irked.

First Application was rejected due to Family ties ,Second Application rejected due to Purpose of visit , I'm officially done with Canada, will focus on my US visa renewal only going forward

Many Thanks for all your help
So sorry about this.

My brother got second refusal too.

Reasons for first refusal:

Travel history
Purpose of visit

Reasons for second refusal:

Travel history: he has only being to east African countries.

Purpose of visit: the conference was postponed till next year. We are not sure if the consular knew that the conference would be postponed during the visa processing. The conference organizers sent a letter to him that the conference has been postponed a week after visa refusal.

Finance: he submitted statement of account of 10 million naira and treasury bills certificate of 25 million naira.

Asset: he submitted 8 landed properties worth 80 million naira.

Sorry about that.

When did he apply and when did he get the response?

I previously shared the documents I used to get a Canadian visa in 2016 valid till 2021. By God's grace I was able travel to Vancouver in 2017 and havent been to Canada since then. We have a child that is a US citizen.

Documents we submitted:

* Letter of introduction from my company introducing my family, date of trip and contact address in Canada.
* Hotel booking from booking.com
* Trip itinerary in excel format
* Flight itinerary done by an agent
* Marriage certificate
* Child birth certificate.
* Wife's passport data page
* My passport data page
* Child passport data page(Nigeria & US)
* Evidence of her travel history: Dubai, US(Valid), Qatar(Layover), and Singapore.
* PTA Stamps.
* Letter from her employer stating her job as a virtual assistant
* Her GTB electronically stamped 5 months statements with closing balance of 150k.
* Letter of sponsorship stating my sources of income
* My Total renumeration sheet showing annual income
* My Payslip for 5 months.
* My Income tax clearance 2016, 2017, and 2018
* My GTB elctronically signed bank statement with closing balance of 900k.
* Access bank stamped statement with balance of $3k.
* Online Stanbic mutual funds statement supported by the first purchase certificate.
* GTB online transfer receipt showing recent mutual funds top up.
* C of O for three lands with two buildings.
* Her Letter of explanation stating our trips to Dubai and US. Explained my inability to travel with her twice due to work schedule. Also explained that she works from home enabling her meet her responsibility as a home maker. Finally stated that she gave birth in the US and does not currently require medical services. Attached the following documents to her letter:
* My travel history since Canada, Valid US visa.
* Child's travel history to Nigeria smiley and Singapore.
* Wife's extra sheet for Imm5257E employment history.

Stanbicassmgt delayed in providing a letter and stamped mutual funds statement. So i printed an online statement and supported it with the first mutual funds certificate from 2016. They sent it after a week but I didn't bother to upload via webform.

TIMELINE:
Online application submission 7th June 2019
Background checks started 7th June 2019
Biometrics request letter 8th June 2019
Biometrics done in Lagos 21st June 2019
Biometrics updated online 21st June 2019
Biometrics status Completed 23rd July 2019
Eligibility review started 12th August 2019(Id El Kabir)
Biometrics Validity Letter 26th August 2019
Passport request 29th August 2019

We received no notification after initial submission until BVL came from London. I had jokingly told myself that if London office cooperares and issues her visa I would lift my self imposed ban to the UK. I may keep to my words if justwise is doing house warming ceremony. cheesy

Thank you all for the information you provide here. I was really encouraged to see successful family applications. I wish all applicants successful outcomes.
Congrats.

In one word Sha, almost 3 months before approval.

@NothingDome I understand cz i dont get what incentives they are referring to, but still highly doubt they'll know of my fiance as we never mention names but my fiance will be re-applying this week and he will mention my name . Hopefully it wont affect my chances as i am currently on Day 52 as at today awaiting eligibility review.

My Biometrics status online is below
Biometrics Help - Biometrics
We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Talking about wiping info. In my gcms notes, they actually wiped off an info I clearly didn't put in my application and the person who reviewed my application implied it.

I didn't know it's a common occurrence.

Finally Got my GCMS notes 47days after . Please can someone explain what this is . I was rejected due to family ties but I expected more details than what was advised and also pls who knows the reason for them quoting my hotel accommodation and tour guide details. Thanks in advance

Which page did you screenshot. The summary of the reason(s) for refusals is usually on the last page. From what you posted, the reasons are not there.

I submitted my application 26th June, and my status is still same as yours.

Let's hope for the best.

Just as someone said above, that the longer it takes ,the likelihood one will be granted. I really hope that's true and it's not because of the long processing time these days.

I have read from this platform people getting passport request even after the event has passed. I am a living example although when I noticed my initial date has passed, I booked another related appointment and I attached it using case specific web form. So if your event is flexible, you can do same. IRCC accesses your admissibility beyond your present trip. Their focus is to be sure there is a higher tie back home that will be taking you out of their country every time you visit. ABOVE IS MY MERE THOUGHT

Please how can I assess this case-specific webform?

I am aware that processing time for TRVs is getting longer in recent times, but does it change the processing times that one was given when applying?
