Good morning All,

Please i have a question.

I applied for my GCMS notes on 27th June 2019 through ApplyGCMS.com after my 1st TRV Application rejection due to "Family Ties in Home country & Canada ".

Currently awaiting feedback on my 2nd application (Reapplied immediately attached documents proving ties in Nigeria).

It has been 35 days since i applied for my GCMS notes yet nothing has been received as GCMS notes is supposed to be sent after 30 calendar days.

All efforts to reach ApplyGCMS.com proved abortive as they have not been responding to my email since Monday (Sent them 3 emails Mon - wed) There is no contact number on the website.

Do i need to be worried about the delay or is this normal? at least they should respond and tell me if more time will be required.

Is any one going through this ?
Maybe try to check the inbox thread through which you sent them the message.

I was checking my inbox for a new message from them. I later saw the message few days later as part of the previous message thread I sent to them.

So you could try that.

Just came across your posts. It is possible that they linked you to your to fiancee's family in canada. However let's see how it goes.

Eligibility review not started doesn't mean your application isn't being processed. Some had eligibility review briefly before the decision.
You are right. I got eligibility review message and application status minutes apart in my first application.

submitted on the June 27 no response yet

I submitted June 26th.

I got a message on July 26th that there has been no update in my application since I last checked.

I thought I would have gotten a message of eligibility review completed , though its my second application.

Hello All
After 4 months of submission of my Visa application I was refused based on 1) Travel History as I have not traveled out of the country before.
2) The purpose of travel as the program that I was being invited had elapsed since the month ofJune 2019... I was advised to reapply when my situation changes
Please I will need a professional advice on next step to take....
How soon can I reaaply again as the same program is coming up by November 2019?
How can I treat the issue of travel History? please house I will really appreciate your sincere opinions.Thank you so much and God bless...
Did they specifically say they are refusing based on the fact that the program had elapsed?

As per siblings' information on the family information form.

In a situation where you cannot trace your stepbrothers and stepsisters- your stepmother and stepfather's children that they had for other partners that is not your mother/father (different from half brothers and half sisters) because they are many, scattered, and people who can give you some information are deceased.

What can one do?

PS: I hope no one is offended that I had to define what step siblings are, I just wanted us to be on the same page.

Hello everyone,

A quick one here please.

When I applied about two months ago, my family information form didn't have allocation for siblings information. I downloaded one now, and has siblings' info. Please which one do we use in Nigeria?

PS: I have issues opening the forms so I want to be sure the form I downloaded is the correct one.

Thanks
UPDATE: I realized I filled the wrong form in my last application.

I will be submitting my application this coming week and my itinerary and the event/fun trip I will attend while on the visit is in the first week of July.

Should I go ahead to apply with the date or make my itinerary a bit later?

Thank you.

Good day everyone,

I just got the gcms notes I requested and found out the two reasons my application was refused.

First of all, they wrote that my friend's wife didn't put a supported letter of invitation to my application, and that since I will be travelling with my xxxxx child. There may not be any economic ties or financial reasons to come back to Nigeria.

I believe I can easily respond to this in my next application. However, I noticed that they wrote that I will be travelling with my .....child (......was cleaned off from the notes that was sent to me). I am guessing the..... means US or American child cos I gave birth to my daughter in the US but I didn't mark that she will be accompanying me to Canada, so I'm wondering why they will just assume that and then put it in my notes, then clean it off when I requested.

The second reason for the refusal is because my purpose of travel was vague and poorly documented.
My purpose of travel is visit, and doing some sightseeing. How do I put in an impressive purpose of travel especially because my purpose of travel is visit.

Thank you very much.

Hi Pointednose, in a nut shell, you can not qualify for a visa with another person’s ties. Unlike the US. USA process, every Canadian visa applicant is judged individually, including minors.
The focus here should be on you and your ties primarily. Not to sound mean, but people leave their spouses or even agree with their spouses when they land to seek asylum and likes. Focus on making the VO understand the visit is temporary. That’s it

Thanks a lot. I appreciate the honest response.

I want to use my spouse's land documents, vehicles documents for my application. They are all in his name. Our house rent receipts are also in his name.

I will be self-sponsored. How do I go about this? What are my options?

Thank you.

Hello all,

Please a document was sent from the US to my school in Ife. I don't have the tracking Number and the organisation wouldn't give me the tracking Number because the process they sent the document for is supposed to be a verification, so I should not ordinarily be involve in the process.

According to the customer care of the organization, the document has been signed for and delivered on the 26th March, 2019 but my school is yet to receive the document. What can I do as I don't even know where the document might be, and I can't access the tracking details, and deadline is approaching fast.

Thank you.

Hello all,

I am gainfully employed and also have a registered business. Do I need to put the company account in my application if I will be sponsoring the trip with my personal funds.

Also, if a slightly huge amount gets into one's account, even though there was a description by the sender. Do I need to write explaining how the money came about?

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I will also like to know if flight reservation is necessary for a visit visa?

Is medical insurance also necessary ?

For people who gave birth in the US, did you indicate you gave birth in the US and did you put proof of payment of medical service?

Thank you.

Good day everyone.

I am new to this thread. I intend to apply for a visit visa. So, I need help on how to go about it.

I currently have a valid US visa which will expire in a month's time.

I intend travelling alone but will like to know if applying alone or applying with my husband will give a higher chance. My husband and I both work, but he earns higher than me and will be the one sponsoring the trip.
So, should I use his account statements alone or add mine to it too or use just my own?

Also, will I be adding his employment details such as appointment letters, payslips alongside mine if I am putting him as my sponsor?

We have friends who can give us invitation letter. Is it better to make hotel reservations or get an invitation letter from a friend?

How much should one look at having in the account? Will proof of investment such as treasury bills be a good evidence to put into the application? What are the documents I will need to make my application solid?

I have been trying to create an account on the cic site but I am finding it difficult. Can someone take me through the process.

I know this is a lot of questions but I truly need answers. Please help me.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Please feel free to answer any of the questions you can answer even if you don't have answers to all.

Thank you.
