Crime › Four Nigerian Men Arrested As India Police Bust Gang Duping Businessmen Online by PoloG(op): 10:01am On Mar 24, 2023 |
The Cyber Crime Wing of Greater Chennai Police in Tamil Nadu, India, has busted a gang of Nigerian nationals which allegedly cheated many businessmen in the city and elsewhere in the State by promising good returns on their investment. The police arrested the four suspects, who were operating in Kharghar, a suburb of Navi Mumbai and brought them to Chennai on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
The police said Okories Godswill Sainasa, 32, Uche John Imeka, 47, Godwin Immanuel, 32, and Eposie Uchenna Stanley, 32, worked in teams and contacted the businessmen first through LinkedIn.
One of the teams with a fake profile picture of a white woman in the name of Nora Morrison from Canada on WhatsApp status approached the victim, a businessman from Kolathur.
She claimed to be the Chief Executive Officer of a Canada-based pharmaceutical firm and offered good commission for supplying herbal oil. Then the others got in touch with her.
The businessman made online transfers in December 2022 for ₹33 lakh to the account mentioned by fraudsters towards procuring oil from Delhi and supplying it to Canada. He did not receive any commission as promised and he lost his money as the business proponents went incommunicado.
Following a complaint, a special team of police led by Cyber Crime Wing inspector T. Vinodhkumar analysed the call records, mails and other electronic communications and traced down the suspects near Mumbai.
“Our team conducted an investigation for 10 days with help of Navi Mumbai police and searched the house of suspects in Kharghar police station limits and arrested four of them,” Mr. Vinodh Kumar said.
Explaining the modus operandi of the gang, the officer said it had four teams posing as the executives, purchase managers, suppliers and quality control. In reality, all teams were Nigerian nationals operating from a home in Navi Mumbai. They never made video calls or voice calls to victims in Chennai.
They mainly targeted people in import-export business and who had registered their details on business portals and social media platforms, he added. https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2023/3/four-nigerian-nationals-arrested-in-india-as-police-bust-gang-allegedly-duping-businessmen-online-2.html

Crime › Police Bust Syndicate Kidnapping Children In Niger, Arrest Three Suspects by PoloG(op): 5:25pm On Mar 23, 2023 |
The Niger State Police Command has busted a syndicate behind the kidnapping of children in Suleja and arrested three suspects. Spokesperson of the command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, March 23, 2023, said the arrest was sequel to the abduction of two children, Abdullahi Umar, 5, and Rahamat Umar, 3, last October in Suleja. The PPRO said two suspects, Savior Ebuka and Mary Peter, were arrested in Gwagawalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Further interrogation and investigation led to the arrest of Chinwe Egwu, in Lugbe area of FCT. She was found to be in charge of one Adorable Orphanage home, where seven children were rescued, including the two abducted in Suleja. “It could be recalled that on 20/10/2022 at about 1125hrs, an incident of suspected abduction of two children was reported at 'B' Div. Suleja, that on 19/10/2022 at about 2100hrs, two children of age 5/3yrs, both m/f of water board area of Suleja were missing and were suspected to have been taken away by a new tenant who just moved into the compound,” the statement read. "However, the landlord and agent who leased the apartment to the suspected tenant were invited for interrogation, as the matter was transferred to SCID Minna for discreet investigation. "In the course of painstaking investigation, the Anti-kidnapping unit of the Command trailed the suspects and arrested one Saviour Ebuka 20yrs and Mary Peter 25yrs at Tunga-Maje via Gwagwalada area of FCT Abuja on 20/01/2023 and 18/02/2023 respectively. "During interrogation, Saviour confessed to having conspired with one Ifeoma and Patience, both presently at large to perpetrate the act, because Ifeoma agreed to pay him and Patience two hundred and fifty thousand naira each, but she had only paid Patience while he is yet to be paid. "He said the children were abducted and taken to Ifeoma at the same address where she had an illegal orphanage home called "Famous Kids home" but Ifeoma later left for an unknown destination and transferred the children to another person. "The Police operatives intensified efforts on the investigation and later identified one Chinwe Egwu, 49yrs of Lugbe area Abuja as the illegal custodian of the children. "The team proceeded to Lugbe, where the said Chinwe was arrested on 13/03/2023, and she was found to be in charge of one Adorable Orphanage home, where seven children were rescued, including the two reportedly abducted children, Abdullahi Umar 5yr, and Rahamat Umar 3yrs. "Five children among the seven rescued were immediately handed over to the Social Welfare Department of FCT. Fortunately, three other children who were abducted from different locations in Suleja and Tafa were equally rescued from the said Chinwe on 14/03/2023 due to her confessions. “Effort is ongoing to arrest the said Ifeoma and Patience, as the case is under investigation, and suspects arrested so far will be prosecuted accordingly as soon as the investigation is concluded.” https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2023/3/police-bust-syndicate-kidnapping-children-in-suleja-arrest-three-suspects-and-rescue-10-abducted-minors-2.html

IGBOSON1: [s]Yoruba man from Ogun, nobody is dragging the cultural and traditional origins/ownership of Lagos with you! However, as a two-faced 'one Nigerianist' speaking from both corners of his mouth, wouldn't you say your constitution takes precedence over any xenophobic sentiments and hate you may have? Doesn't that constitution guarantee ALL Nigerians equal treatment and the opportunity to reside and work in ANY part of Nigeria he so chooses? Is it only the Yoruba that contributed to Lagos' growth and socio-economic sustainance?[/s]
[s]Remember what happened the last time Igbos' went back to the East enmasse? Remember how you reacted to that in 1966? Given a hypothetical situation where the Igbo do as you say and 'go back to Igboland'......while this happens will you still be feeding yourself fat on my oyel and gas or will the tap be switched off the moment the exodus (movement of Jah people) commences?[/s]
[s]Yoruba man from Ogun, can you cite two instances when you 'attacked' Ndigbo in the South-West so they can 'vex and leave your region'? [/s] just go back to igbo land and stop distubing us here |

Yet this two-faced spawn of lucifer will not want to entertain the thought of having this fake and forced colonial contraption being dismembered so he can fck off with his bigotry and form his own country devoid of any trace of Igbo!
