Tension almost killed me btw biometrics date and collection mail date. I called, sent mail, did everything I could but yet... I was humbled.

But at d end of d day , God did it for me.

Thanks to those that shared ideas wen I had some issues, verifying my proficiency in Enhlish language.

No ooo, iv not gotten my passport ooo, it's really depressing, my employer still called me yesterday to ask for an update. I dont even know what's happening again.

Sincerely, i really dont know the reason for long delays after decision has been made. I applied for skilled worker visa, had my biometrics on 13th july, iv made a paid call and numerous paid mails. i was told a decision was made as far back as 20th July, what is now causing all this delays??

I was told to wait 10 working days for VAC to send collection mail, i did and didnt receive anything, i then called and i was told my application has now been escalated. Do escalation really work or its just a placebo because im just so confused right now.

Well, I'm in tech and that's the area i can speak about. The golden rule for ME is, Dont go for jobs you clearly know you're over qualified for.
Go for those jobs that are a perfect match to your skills, then write a cover letter based on the job description and specifications.

Personally, i applied continuously for over 8 months, and i got unfortunately every single day... Except weekends sha . I managed to get a couple of interviews but the feedback was always that i was overqualified and they have someone already in the uk willing to resume immediately even thou I performed beta. They encouraged i would get something beta in pay and position. Often times, they just call me to notify me about the feedback without a chance to tactically explain that i can start remotely or that i was okay with the pay.

The only thing i finally changed earlier this year was to be writing personalised cover letter, and i started getting more interviews, and ofcourse, I stopped applying for junior roles too.

I got two offers at almost the same time. I use LinkedIn and indeed in searching and you can try making it a daily routine too, maybe 3 to 5 job applications per day. Interviews would surely come in the longrun.

Got the COS and i applied thereafter om 5th July,Biometrics on 13th and till now, Iv not heard from them. I sent a paid mail last week and i got a decision made feedback but passport has not moved back to VAC. Wetin dey cause this delays self.... � Funny enough, I've seen someone who had his biometric done on 14th july, thou a dependant, and has his passport picked up already.

Hello Ponmbe, congratulations on your job offer.
Since you say you already have PTE Academic UKVI, if all you need at this time is to only show equivalence of your Nigerian bachelor's degree to that obtained in the UK, without English language proficiency, then what you should go for is Enic Statement of Comparability. For this, you only need to upload your final certificate and transcript.
Their website says: "Statement Of Comparability: A general purpose statement of qualification comparability. This service is for you if you need to evidence the level of your overseas qualification for employment, study, professional registration or another reason."

I find myself in a funny situation.
I got an IT-related offer in which the employer(NHS) insist on getting a Naric Evaluation to prove my Bsc is the same as that of the Uk. The HR explains that they need this to be done before they can issue a COS. Where I have a challenge is that there is industrial action at naija my uni and it would take a long time to get proficiency in English letter through the back door. As an alternative, I have PTE Academics UKVI, so all I require is the evaluation of my BSC alone. I tried initiating a Visas and Nationality (English proficiency) on Naric, with the mindset that the Bsc would be evaluated alone, but they keep asking for the proficiency in English letter.

Please, do anyone have experience evaluating education(B.Sc) alone while using IELTS or PTE UKVI for English proficiency, I really can't afford to b waiting for proficiency in English letter from uni as I cant attach a timeline to this process.

So it was back in 2004 or so...my mum beat me and told me to be on my knees for an issue she misinterpreted. Later that evening when my dad and siblings analyzed the issue and told my mum she was wrong, she just said ehn, one must be vigilant especially when it comes to a male child . She gave me additional meat with my food.....I rejected the meat anyway and said I wanted an apology instead. Heaven almost came down, she told me she's training me the right way and if I don't take time, she would start the beating all over again. She said, In fact, she doesn't want to see any of those evil or satanic friends around me again.

15 years later, she called out of the blues to apologize....lol , I feign Ignorance but she explained the event all over again. she said she was sorry and she thought it was the only method that could work because boys are generally stubborn(In her words, ma binu oko mi, bo shey ye mi nigbayen niyen)......she said since that day, she hasn't seen a single friend(both male and female) with me, She doesn't even know who she could call in case my number isnt reachable and all that.

Well, i didn't get any message from them as well,however,i was called today and a telephone interview was conducted, It was on for about 10min.

Then later in the afternoon,a n elderly person called again just to follow up,and this time around, it was more of a discussion...we talked at length and she asked more questions than the first lady that spoke with me earlier in the day. she didn't mention anything like a written test or CBT.This time around, we spent approximately 20min.

I presently work with an IT firm as a software developer, so maybe that's why i wasn't told to show up physically, i really cant say. Everyone that submitted their CV via their Email should just know they will either get a call or a message within the next couple of days...hopefully.
