Our reading will be taken from the 1st book of Peter 5 vs 8

Brother Segun can u please read for us?

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: kJV

Now pay more attention to the amplified version:-

Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour

Offering time!

Why would they expect me to know the house of the owner of the car. The date on the document should serve as evidence that I'm no longer the owner or is the change of ownership document doesn't have legal recognition?
They know, they are just carrying out investigation and ur name pop up on the plate number, so they need u to help them in the investigation. E b like say ur right deh for constitution abi grin they can transfer the buyer name to the plate number, just tell d buyer to do that so u can sleep well. Person wet witness case for this country alone, still deh collect.

Okay. I used to think that change of ownership document would cover whatever might happen after selling the car. We learn and unlearn everyday
Yes it does, incase of traffic offence and deh capture the plate number or hit and run? They will reach the name on the plate number b4 reaching d offender and what about if the seller does not know the new address of the offender? One chance cheesy

Please I want to know the rationale behind not selling car with plates, what will the owner use the plates for cuz I know he can't just hang it on his/her next car
His name is on d plate, if anything happens, he bear responsibility. He can transfer the plate to another car at cheap rate (not sure). According to police, once u buy a car from someone, u only have 3 months grace to change the plate, not sure if it is under any law or they stress for it, but the wicked one that want to take something from u by force won't let go. That was d issue that took me to Ogudu police station, spent d whole day dia.

Bros, no vex o, it's like you like using your riders for comedy audition.

Anyways, quick questions:
1. Was she initially aggressive or she was very sad? Because if she was aggressive, you (I'll) have no business starting the trip.

2. Was she sitting at the front or behind? If behind, was she directly behind you or on the other end? This one is just to determine the velocity and weight of the slap.

3. Did the slap really touch you? Because you said you heard "a very thick slap". If it touched you, was it painful?

4. Did you forgive her for the slap? If yes, did you enter her house to "drink water"?

5. If the answer to 4 is YES, how did the "water" taste?

And oh, to your question "What do you expect of me as a driver?" Personally, I expect you to mind your business.

When driving, my main aim is to make money. So if you come into my car, and I notice you're crying, this is how the conversation would most likely go:

Me: Good morning.

Rider: (Comes into the car and begins sobbing, not responding to the greeting of the driver)

Me: Are you ok?

Rider: (No response or nods head, still sobbing)

Me: Can I start the trip?

Rider: (Nods)

Once I start that trip, you'll have all the time in the world to sob your heart out till we get to the destination.

Like I said, this is my personality and that's what I'll do.

And oh, I COME IN PEACE. If you come for me, you are on your own.
grin I can imagine d slap from the back... unforseen from a very vintage position grin

I just feel Everyone should be recognized and appreciated for being consistent for years on this platform. I spoted names of the trouble makers, the ones who likes to mention Afonjas, and region names as a typical behaviors of a clan in interesting manner. Its more interesting than many movies listed on Billboards. I read the advices from the socalled talented Mahals.

Take this, The whole thing seems like little things. But Its a world of its own. Its a hash of individual data contributions and intelligences.

Awards Ceremony Needs to be Organised tor everyone to participate. Let's set a day aside to not argue, just to celebrate each other with the love that set the whole thread up.
Charity for data members. This is just like a "1972 Basketball set", "The Magic Joghson set"
Another "Michael Jordan set"

In year 2031, 2051..2091... Kids of the future by year 3021 will still read about the heavy topics and notable names and admire their contributions.

Just like young lads who rep Nigeria at USA '94
That set are legends Kanu Nwakwo, Mikil Obi, Amokashi, Babayaro, Ipeba West, Okocha etc.

Like Now We are Legends, Everyone participating in an iconic ceremony like this is a Star. Y'all bigger than you've ever seen yourselves.

We don't need to wear the white skin to know this is a good thing. Don't let the stress of our hustles blindfold our soul celebration. No matter what we need to celebrate. Let me hand it over to Emeritus Organizers Who knows Best. I'm voting ₦ 1,000,000 for my own support for the celebration. We chould take place at 4 Point Sheraton Hotel in Lekki.

If you have ideas, advices, contributions, you can add them.
All works and no ...celebration makes a Nursery Pupils End of the year Graduation Girl a dull one.

Tagging all members The Bosses are not excluded. The Organizers would unveil Chairman of the occasion, Specially Invited Personality, from Uber ceo to Cars45, Jiji, Minister for Transport, Fintec CEOs, (when time comes).

Please lets make this a memorable events.
Once in a lifetime things.

This is the largest Thread on Nairaland, other thread members can emulate.
If Activist can pick a day for nationwide protest to make every driver park and stay at home.
We can pick a day to celebrate our existence in a cozy manner.
Thank you all.

You should be more concerned with getting paid and forget about how riders feel so long as they are not bordering you with it. You are not there to save the world or make anyone happy, that's not your job. You are to pick up and drop off. Learn how to mind your business.

Indriver Don grin...u r right. but how often do u see these trips and what are the odds d rider will pick u amongst 5-6 other drivers.
Proximity matters and knowing where ur riders are, but wit rating of 4.8 on 928 trips, my odds r always favorable. I would have been long beyond 928, if not for frequent cancellation, which I need to stop tho b4, deh yank me off. Obviously not d best app right now, but when d need is not available...
