I was also once in a very abusive relationship,i was a softie back then and foolishness had covered my brain,he would beat to stupor and beg me with gifts,tears and promises.I tried to leave but he kept threatening me so i learnt to fight back,i learnt to be a violent person and learnt hw to be emotionless.When i got the courage to leave he still wouldnt let me be.Calling ppl close to me and threatening them but i had made up my mind to fight back.Even after beak up he kept abusing me stalking me in my house so i had to come home late to prevent any squabbles.What lead to my freedom was a big fight and a rape which left me traumatized,i couldnt report becos i was scared nobody will believe but i thank one nairalander and a friend whose words kept me going then,i confided in them and i found a friend in him(the nairalander).My friend's family lawyer helped with a restraining order and i had to go through sm counselling to let go of all the bitterness,pain and all those aggressive behaviour i had to acquire in order to survive so kenyatta dont just sit there and wallow in self pity.Fight back cos ur life depends on it nw till u get help,dont let him see fear in ur eyes anytime u see him(even if u are scared of him) STAND UP TO HIM.

the three previous housegirls went to school but highschool and mum took one of them to adult school
