Good adaptive mechanisms. Microbiologist, please explain to us

Glycerol as a cryoprotectant depresses the freezing point of microscopic cells, enhancing supercooling.
It does so by forming strong hydrogen bonds with water molecules, competing with water-water hydrogen bonding.
This disrupts the crystal lattice formation of ice unless the temperature is significantly lowered.

The organism must have a compound similar to glycerol performing the same function.

Coco. The best animated movie. Best song.. remember me.

Frankly saw this last year at the cinemas and disnt enjoy it.

2nd time round I was blown away. It's a very deep and colourful movie. The Mexican culture was expressed fully to my appreciation. The sound track was on point.

Right? The movie had more impact on me the second time I watched it. The songs too... "Remember me" and "poco loco". cheesy

Environmental microbiologist
University of ibadan (BSc), .........., ........
Yes, a university (post doctoral researcher)

There's hope for microbiologists. Its an important discipline with many facets in d world.
Its unfortunate that lab technicians are usurping our positions in hospitals. This is due to d fact dt they're paid less compared to those with d microbio degree itself.
In addition, medical micro is hot cake outside d country but as this thread is abt d way forward for microbiologists in 9ja, i will advice dt once u have a first degree in micro, find ur way outside d country or else, simply get an extra certificate in another field to survive.

But as i mentioned earlier, opportunities r plenty for microbiologists outside d country (especially in Manitoba, Canada ).

Cheers

Business / International Banking by Pororo(f): 3:03am On Jun 15, 2015
Hello people,
Is there any benefit in using the same bank worldwide?
For example, If I'm banking with Standard Chartered, will there be any benefit like easy on-line banking across the world?
And will it be possible to make normal banking transactions anywhere in the world, as long as its the same bank, please?
Answers will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

Ps. I guess exchange rates will apply but I'm more concerned about the ease of banking.

Politics / E-passport Machines Required In South Korea by Pororo(f): 7:52am On Apr 02, 2015
Hello everyone,
Please does anyone know how to make a request to the appropriate body in Nigeria, on the need for an e- passport machine in Korea?

There are many Nigerians here without valid passports and our embassy is totally ignoring this fact
(or so it seems because there has been no reports on efforts made to get one).

Five years ago, they made an arrangement with the neighbouring Malaysia's Nigerian embassy to make the e-passports for us. It has been one problem after another, over the passports renewal or reissue now.
Babies born here are practically stuck here and we cant go anywhere to get passports for them.
Likewise, we know the state of airfares and airlines now, per chance we decide to come home to make the passports.

Please, any kind information will be highly appreciated. Ejoo!!!! cry

These stories made my day grin

Meanwhile, I've had so many episodes. My latest is bread making.
When u see recipes online with the pictures, you feel it will be so easy but its totally different when you do it yourself.
And so, I saw a simple bread recipe and I followed the recipe.
When bread finish- na unleavened "kongi" I made!
My husband laughed that day ehn, I wan kill myself.
He encouraged me to keep trying and finally, I made the perfect bread last month and we finished it all without any accompaniment. That was my ultimate reward!

MrOlai:

The statement is tautology. It should be " Any sex outside marriage is a sin". Parents' consent is one of d processes of marriage.

Anyhow, I can see that people are already giving you the answers you're looking for.
What a cheap way of acquiring attention!

About you tautology, you should have written the same statement instead of writing the rubbish you wrote in the first place.

Your first comment is totally wacky. " parent's consent" you said. So parents shop love-vendor their daughters are good in your opinion, abi?

And also, why the hell do you guys always point to the ladies concerning sexual atrocities, where r the men in these cases?

Moderator, how did this get to the front page? Is it that you like to drag up controversial issues and make someone mad early in the morning? What kind of nonsense it THIS!!!! angry

Australia is recruiting vets (especially) in their immigration program. Vet doctors and agric specialists are always on high demand.

My view is based on experience. If 9ja isn't so heavenly, then try outside. It may be hard at first try but it pays if one doesn't give up.
