Good day everyone. The last time I wrote to the embassy to notify them of change of intent , I didn't get a reply. Does this happen often? I already got my visa before I got pregnant and I've used it for vacation once. Will write another mail soon to notify them of my childbirth plans. I pray they respond. |

biollar1: My people...devil no wan gree me enter Nairaland but God pass am. Bin trying to sign in after I gave my POE story. I got in May 17th and left June 29th. Had my baby on the 10th of June I used Oakbend Medical Centre and Dr E( fab as usual) and una sabi d usual bill and all. I wanted to get back to naija with United last flight (29th June), so I decided to change my return ticket from July 5th to 29th June, leaving me with just 19days to process all docs but God was super fateful.
Processed all my baby's docs in less dan a week. Only SSN took longer and it took 8working days to drop.
1. Picked up birth certificate at fort bend county and paid $23 for a copy 2. Same day, Headed straight to passport office in downtown on 1919 smith street . Took passport photograph for $17 (2 copies) directly opposite passport office in downtown. Paid $165 for expedited and was asked to come pick up ffg day. 3. Scanned baby's birth certificate to Mrs Stella with all necessary docs. I did ETC and paid $300. It arrived after 5days via FedEx 4. I called United to attach baby to my tic 5. Headed back to Naija.
Stayed with my host but left for Soulcare Concierge when my mum arrived. Make all of us no becum liability.
MARGARET OF SOULCARE CONCIERGE was awesome. I enjoyed my stay and she made us feel like home away from home. The fact that she conveys one for doc appointments and grocery shopping makes it all stress free and whole. Will def use her again.
Supa Dupa grateful to all... Omodadi( my main Pal..we sure rocked Houston together, I'm glad our ways crossed )LadyG , Firsttymum, Feddy27, Happytbaby,Modath, Nefertitiram and all. I met wonderful mamas but I've forgotten their monikers and l don't want to mention their real names.
You all made my second missionary journey a successful and stress free one.
God bless us all and May we all not labor in vain over our kids in Jesus name. Congratulation Biola1 . Please I will need all necessary info concerning the bills at oakbend and Dr E Hello everyone . Don't know where to start as I had to exit this thread cos I had miscarriage early this year and all I read and planned for delivery actually evaporated from my head. Glory be to God for his faithfulness for performing another miracle in my life. Want to say a big thank u to firsttymum, LadyG, Justwise &Co....for their patience in running this thread. I had my visa long before I got pregnant the last time and I wrote a letter of intent to the embassy , I didn't get a reply. Didn't follow up cos I lost the pregnancy. Will write another one soon and I hope they reply. I'm back on this thread and I pray God will see me through this time. Biola1 biko I need info from you o......your testimony is sweet mbok |

kkbabygirl:
I entered the US legally to deliver my baby. The baby was born in Dec 15.
Regrettably the baby was born with a congenital heart disease called trunsuc artheriosis. She has had two heart surgeries and is currently in the hospital. She has lived all her life in the cardiovascular intensive care unit.
At the moment, the doctors are uncertain of her discharge date. Additionally the baby is billed for more hospital visits and surgeries in the future.
Unfortunately, the health care delivery in Nigeria cannot guarantee my baby a better care. I have confirmed that our hospitals are ill equipped and have poor manpower and skill to manage the baby health. The baby's condition is such that she will require a periodic hospital visit and future replacement of some valve in the heart.
I am skeptical of taking my baby back home. While I am praying for her complete recovery, it is my desire to remain in the US and watch my baby have the best health care in the world.
Please I need advise on how to achieve this.
Thank you. It is well with your baby dear. The Lord will perfect all that concerns her. Really don't have any advice but in any decision u make, all things will work together for your good. |

Is someone wondering where d doctors are when all dis happened? 'trust me u dont wanna know. Some wld be in jail by now in a sane country. Now, dnt wonder how i cope with d losses, i think some angels were deployed from above to kip me. Now another preg is here and i cant afford a third still birth. Fast forward to interview

So why are u going to Texas Me: (Assumed she saw medical on my visa type) To have my baby VO: where do you work Me: I work for the govt VO: what do u do there Me: I explained my roles VO : How much do you earn Me: *grabbed my payslip to confirm the kobo kobo dt usually follow d amt* VO: Vo said no, just tell me without checking Me: I told her the amount without adding d kobos. I know i goofed but there has to be a way my people, what do I do? I'm so worried sick about my health and dt of this baby. So sorry about your loss dear....affliction will not arise the third time in Jesus name. Whether here in naija or us , you will have your baby alive in Jesus name Follow the advice people have given so far. Be truthful and be prepared . Also prayer can do all things. The Lord will grant your heart desires |

I wish people who were turned back at the airport came here and shared their story, that would deter others I should better send my change of intent letter right away o before it looses it value. All this agent and their wahala....may God help us sis |

Please how many months prior should my bank statement be? Is 3 months okay?
I intend for my wife to apply first. If she is asked why i am not with her or why i am not applying for a visa, what is the best response to the possible question?
I applied alone without my husband. When asked I just answered "he is working on a project and won't be chanced". Thanks |

donugapi: In the spirit of 'giving back' to the thread...
My wife arrived NY today. She left Lagos yesterday and arrived NY this morning. She probably had the shortest and smoothest POE interview ever.
CPB: How long are you here for.. Mrs: 3 months CPB: Who would you be staying with? Mrs: Family. CPB: Enjoy your stay..
She was stamped in for 6 months... We were very prepared for secondary inspection and further interrogation with a large stack of documents but they didn't ask for the purpose of her visit not to talk of documentation...... A favored woman she is...
Now waiting for the first hospital appointment.. Your wife is so favoured!!! God favour me too...planing to go through NY too |
