1. I believe strongly that 95% of our dreams are the outcome of our though during the day.

2. I no longer believe interpretations of dreams. Here is an example: In Nigeria when you eat in your dream, its believe you are being fed from the.coven while in some advance countries it mean good things are coming your way.

3. On the other hand, I will advise you claim the good things that appear in your dream and reject that which you don't like.

Stop worrying yourself over what you cannot control, no one control his or her dreams.

Hmm!

But what if... what if the dream is just an irony of the reality?

B4 u listen to or take any dreams seriously u need to know/understand the type of person who dreamt it, their mindset, their general perception on their dreams and their understanding of the particular dream.

It’s not every dream or everybody’s dream u take serious especially against ure own beliefs. Some are just reflections of the dreamers mind trying put wrong impression, fear and doubt and in rare occasions its more than that bt what u believe or speak is what works for u.

NB: u didn’t say what ur gf moms understanding of her dream was.

Sm1 who has fearful mentality will most likely dream about their fears.

l'm spiritually conscious of anything that l do especially taking a crucial decision like this.

Dream!!!! I must tell you that dreams don't lie except if one is daydreaming. A continuous prayers and devine grace can avert any impending evil attacks without giving in for much fears. My experience.

Which church do you attend?

Seeking spiritual direction is good cos in world that we are, the spiritual controls the physical, But Be careful with who you seek spiritual revelation from though. Naija don hard nau o.
why do you people always ask which church someone is attending? I don't get

That doesn't mean you are not for each other but revelation to take care of, few days to my introduction my wife was flogged in her dream and see Mark all over her body in real life but we don't give it second thought I proceed to get the list from her parents with believe of Bible verse about marriage. Today glory be to God in every area of our life.
So be courageous so far you have prayed about the marriage yourself. God bless you

I don't take dreams serious cos they never come to pass for me. whatever I ignore cannot touch me.
but if I see a good dream and I want it, then I put all my energy and vibrate towards that direction or as usual ignore it same way I ignore the bad one.
don't allow someone's dream to become your reality. you shouldn't have listened to it in the first place.
growing up, my dad always encouraged us never to tell anyone dreams about them. going by that standard, I've seen people who were pronounced dead in my dream live and still living. this is because the mind can do some unimaginable wonders, be it good or bad. all these are projected by the thoughts.
reminds me of my gf who got married. she was seeing two guys who asked for her hands in marriage. she said bout A she was seeing him going to the market alone and called him but he kept on moving in the dream. while B she saw him just normal dream and all happiness and fun. at least when I asked her why she left A, this was her excuse. she got married to B and found out she married a macho man. no happiness. beating steady. he automatically hated her sight. she gave birth to the first child and before second child, he threw her out with pregnancy.

My beloveth brother dreams is one of the crucial ways that God use to communicate with human beings so as to warn them of future events. Remember he knows the end from the beginning, that is why he is the alpha and Omega.

Secondly the meaning of that dream is dangerous. It signifies that there is danger ahead.

Thirdly, if she is not the right person, with patience and prayers God will bring someone better than her across your way.

Lastly, marriage is a lifetime commitment so don't rush , just be patient and God will give you the best.

N/B: This could be a bit lengthy, but please, read to the end.

I have been making preparations since late last year to settle down with my fiancee. I intend going to collect the marriage list this coming April to kick start the marriage processes.

My girl and I are very compatible in almost all ramifications you can think of. Honestly, she's the perfect definition of a supportive wife, well mannered and loyal to the core, just to say a few.

We now lived in different states, but we've known ourselves and have been seeing/dating each other in the same city between December 2016 and September 2019. I even made her to redeploy during her NYSC in 2018, to be close to me because of my intentions for her.

As usual, we've been praying and trying to seek the face of God to get divine revelation.

So on the 9th of this month (March), my fiancee and her mum visited a priest for normal pre marriage talk/counseling. The priest of course asked my girl some questions about me, which she answered sincerely. The priest then advised my girl and her mum to put everything in God's hand and be praying about it.

About a week later (around 16th or so), my fiancée's mother had a dream where my fiancée's hair was cut in the dream. In trying to understand the dream, my fiancee then called her cousin who is a Reverend, and the cousin told her that the dream is a bad dream, that it means "someone is trying to take her glory."

That dream compelled my fiancee and her mum to have two days midnight prayer (19th and 20th precisely) to cancel any bad dream.

Reaching today, my girl and her mum visited the priest again, to let him know about the dream. The priest then asked my girl about her understand of the dream. My girl said it means "widowhood." But my girl's mum was having a different understanding.

In summary, the priest then asked my girl if she had gotten a divine revelation, as to whether we're meant to be husband and wife. My girl said no has not.
Personally, I've fasted and prayed severally to God to show me reasons not to marry my fiancee, but I'm yet to see reasons not to.

Honestly, apart from divine validation which I'm yet to get, I'm yet to see reasons why I shouldn't marry my fiancee. And my girl have been worried since this afternoon, thereby getting me worried also.

Now my questions are:

1.) What does it mean for someone's hair to be cut in a dream?

2.) Is it 100% compulsory that one must get a divine validation to have a peaceful and happy marriage?

Please, your honest contributions will be appreciated.

Mods, please help a brother if this piece isn't in the right section.

And help send it to front page for more response.

Thanks.

Op since you and your fiancée are religious people my contribution is

Hab.2:2 The just shall live by HIS faith not by the priest faith.

If you believe you are going to die young so shall it be, if your fiancée believe she will be a widow young even if she breaks up with you to marry another person she will still be a widow young but if you both believe otherwise so it will be.

Nothing is wrong with you and your partner. What is on display here is familiar spirits and evil eyes. This is why people are advised not to make public their plans. You need to desist from fornication and pray more. Your prayer points should centre on God averting any danger in the future.

It is important to first understand the origin of dreams. Dreams could come from God, it could result from a multitude of business, or what we constantly feed our minds on. It will shock you that nollywood movies can make one dream funny dreams.

The first step will be to know the origin of the dream.

Secondly I believe if a dream is from God you will know the meaning almost immediately after. God is an intelligent Being so are you, I mean if your biological father wants to pass vital information to you, he won't speak in riddles or jigsaw puzzles he goes straight to the point however much more our heavenly father.

I will suggest you and the Mrs take out time to fast and pray maybe a day or two to seek God's face for direction. I'm already afraid that the whole thing has already gotten to her already, a word from God will calm the whole storm down.

Another thing you raised is if God told you she is your wife /husband. I believe it on rare occasions God tells people vividly, most times people in ministry or special assignment are told by God who to marry, but that is as a result of how important that assignment is to God. The general way is he who finds a wife, a man is to find a wife (a woman that can help him achieve his dreams, goal, vision, and purpose) then favour follows this. The only criteria is she has to be a Christian/godly fellow.

The fact of the matter is that it is only God that understands dreams, if you tell 10 people same dream they can give 10 interpretations and sometimes dreams that are as a result of multitude of business can come to pass if we keep meditating on them.

Cutting hair means many things, its not just widowhood.

Question: who cut the hair in the dream? What was the scenerio that lead to the hair cutting?

Hair cutting can be yokes being broken too.

Check your peace and joy if it's still intact then God is with you.

In the realm of the spirit there is only black and white.

The devil can hijack dreams, and the devil can use your fears to feed you bad dreams.

God is not an author of confusion,he won't contradict himself, if his peace is still with you, then forget it,go and marry.

Hmm!

Well said, Mrsoft3.

Thanks.

Two questions I want to ask you:

Will you throw away your happiness because of some dreams?

Will you live forever if you marry or don't marry her?

Can anyone change our fate?

Make the fews days we all have on earth worth while, if she gives you joy... Marry her and forget about death dream... No one will live forever.

Do you know what a soldier life expectancy is? But the found love.

I heard you seeking a divine revelations for marriage.... Know this: Eve was given to Adam directly from God himself and still she was the downfall of Adam. THINK!!!

Learn to pray together in d morning and at night bfr bed time. & all learn to take wise decisions in ur home. Dreams are some times revelation that u pray away for if u dont want it or u call it forth if u want it, because the bible says u shall decree a thing and it shall be established. Whatever u bind on earth shall b bind in heaven, He has also give given u power to tread upon snakes and scorpions... remember God will not choose a wife for u because he said whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing. Tell me you ain't joking . That's is a revelation . It was his girl who had the dream it was same girl that interpreted the dream . They will regret being in that marriage . Mark it if they stubbornly engage in that journey .

@Exodora, please read properly before you comment.

Where did you see in the article that it was my fiancee that had the dream?

Don't be in a haste to quote someone and comment.

This is where your problem started.
The priest then asked my girl about her understand of the dream. My girl said it means "widowhood."

I mean no to insult, but she sound unintelligent. Widowhood how? you people are not even married yet, so where is she seeing the widowhood from, or was it when you people got married that her head was cut off? Don't forget, movies, stories and imagination can also inspire some bad and good dreams, but I'm not saying that's the case here.

I think we have taken religion too far, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should not seek the face of God when choosing a life partner. what use to be Before was to first spot a woman with the characteristics you want like you did, then seek the parent blessings and marry her legally, and then take the union to God in the church to bless the union, but now we have changed it, we find a woman with everything we want, and go into fasting and prayers for God to come down to tell us yes, go ahead, most times, the woman or the man is weak spiritually and may not see this sign or revelation and end up losing this fine partner.

1. bros, first, I'm happy you found a woman that is compatible with you, that's all the revelation you need.
2. Your woman already had a bad dream, we all at one point have had bad dreams about ourselves or family members and friends, and what we do is to pray against it and rebuked it, and then try to be careful in our ways. LET YOUR WOMAN PRAY AND BE CAREFUL, no negative meaning should be read about your marriage into this dream.

3. You have found your wife, go and marry her properly, then take her to God (church) and let God bless your union. you both should come back and be better couples, none of you is gonna die, you both will see your grand children.

ONE THING I HAVE COME TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE IS, ONCE YOU FIND THAT PERFECT PERSON AND WANTS TO SETTLE DOWN, TEMPTATION BEGINS TO COME, I have a woman that's also compatible with me as I speak, not even this dream, or anything related can make me trade her for it. what I fear most is a bad wife.

DoubleFingers:

Thanks.
Well, I hardly tell people my dream because I don't want any negative interpretation.
If I dreamed a nice dream, I declare it so in prayers.
if it's bad dream, I ask God to turn it around for good in prayer.
Learn to pray immediately after you dream and stop worrying yourself.

Offpoint1:

Two questions I want to ask you:

Will you throw away your happiness because of some dreams?

Will you live forever if you marry or don't marry her?

Can anyone change our fate?

Make the fews days we all have on earth worth while, if she gives you joy... Marry her and forget about death dream... No one will live forever.

Do you know what a soldier life expectancy is? But the found love.

I heard you seeking a divine revelations for marriage.... Know this: Eve was given to Adam directly from God himself and still she was the downfall of Adam. THINK!!!

Wow!

Offpoint1, very strong point you made here.

Thanks.
