NASD is also a Nigerian stock exchange based in Lagos and transactions there are done in naira.

NGX Group is listed at N25 but gained a bit on the first trading day to rise to N25.19

There may be NASD in other countries, but the one in question is the Nigerian owned.

NASD is an Over The Counter [“OTC”] exchange.

It is not a standard exchange like NYSE, LSE, and NGX.

Why would NGX Group list its shares on an OTC instead of NGX?

By Tuesday 20th Elephant will fall down 45 kobo for Dividend and Access should be ahead once again. FBNH can only catch Access if it shakes body and pay more dividends. With last year results they have a tie in Book Value Per Share of N21 with Access ahead in Earning Per Share based on bank operations and far ahead using consolidate numbers for computing earnings per share. Where are Q1 reports (estimates) of performance. The market should speed them up based on this. Or increased interest rates may mute a price rises.

Ramadan Kareem, Our Muslim Brothers and Sisters

How has the month of Ramadan been for you? We hope you’re adjusting accordingly.
We know that Ramadan is a time to be exceedingly generous and charitable, whether with family, friends, or complete strangers. It is also a time set aside to spend with family and friends. Because this period is characterized by almsgiving, dining out and spending time with loved ones, in the spirit of generosity, people tend to overspend.

The season comes with a lot of expenses that can leave you financially drained. However, this tale doesn’t have to be yours. Instead of having to spend excessively because of all the expenses Ramadan comes with, we have curated some tips to help you manage your money effectively and help this Ramadan be different while you indulge in all you want.

Your sister should visit GTL Registrars No. 274 Murtala Muhammed Way, Yaba, Lagos.
info@gtlregistrars.com or call +234-(01)-2793160-2
Go along with acceptable means of identification and a passport photograph. She will complete and submit the e-mandate form to get any outstanding dividend.

A demat form will be given to her to be processed by her stockbroker if she has one. If she don't have a broker, click on the link on my signature to have investment one as her stockbroker where the demat form will be processed and her shares deposited into her cscs account; with that done, she can do the selling at the comfort of her home or office.

Currently ETI is N4.85 as at yesterday closing price.

I emphatise with your sister. She was one of us that lost money to the greedy people of Nigeria. The like of Wale Tinubu in the banking industry. They wrote off your sister investment. They gave it out to South African investors.

https://www.proshareng.com/news/FRAUDS%20&%20SCANDALS/Who-Owns-Legacy-Shares-After-$864m-Write-Off-At-Ecobank--Post-Securities-Fraud/41454

At the time she bought the shares in 2008 during the public offer, the 5000 units worth $1385 or N169,000 strong Nigeria Naira at the time.

The accrued dividends from 2008 are:
2008 0.2 cents
2009 0.3 cents
2010 0.4 cents
2011 0.4 cents
2012 0.4 cents
2013 0.038cent
2014 nil
2015 nil + bonus 1 to 15 (your sister outstanding shares =5333 units
2016 0.02 cents
2017 nil
2018 nil
2019 nil
2020
The value as at closed of biz on 16/04/2021 = N25,600.
Your sister should just leave the shares for them or better still she should buy more and leave it as an inheritance for her children.
There is only one decent person in gtl who will ensure that her dividends are paid.
She is the head business development
amutuah@gtlregistrars.com
info@gtlregistrars.com
Your sister should copy her for the collection of outstanding dividends, the broker will sort out the dematerialisation and listing on cscs.
To be frank, Ecobank is fairly healthy and there is no other time for your sister to invest more than now.

Leggitsam,

kudos for a very detailed and germane response.

My only addition is that (depending on precisely when the shares were bought in 2008) the stock may be up to x5 the current estimated units, because of the 5 for 1 bonus declared that year:
