I remember severally posting here on Nairaland that crypto-currencies doesn't have intrinsic value... that your money will surely got burnt if you invest in crypto. I even opened a thread about Warren Buffet warning people against crypto-currencies.

Crypto is only good for moving illegal money from one point to another without govt knowledge. Just only that nothing else.

I never knew billionaire Elon Musk was this financially uneducated until he invested heavily in crypto. Your inventions and innovations can make you a billionaire but being financially literate is a different thing altogether.

Crypto-currencies will not exist in 10 years time because it doesn't have intrinsic value and also it is suffering from acceptance from government authorities all across the globe.

Government rejections will make it not to stand as a legal tender thereby causing the boom to burst.

OH YOU FELL FOR IT TOO ? they told you elon musk ( which he is an inside man too and is down with the game ) bought a shit load of crypto so that fools will think, well if elon buys this much let me buy too. but what you dont understand is that they wanted to cash out. elon did not buy no useless cryptos, you guys got 419ed. as soon as they made that announcement then people rushed to buy it. now they crashed it and cashed out. lmaooo pyramid scheme

Lol, I just watch and nod my head. I was once like the OP. But now I am wiser. I invested in learning, aquiring knowledge and a lot of reading. You must read oh!!! It is very important. I take calculated risk. I have made some cool cash off the market even though it is bleeding. I spread my portfolio in yield farming, staking and the like. I do my research before jumping in. I make sure my main portfolio is in usdt in case of a dip. Crypto is risky, but if you DYOR it is worth the risk. My 2 cents!!

And that's why it's easy for even an individual like Elon Musk to manipulate the market.

If I show you how much was depleted from my portfolio, you'll marvel. You would even pity me.
But a seasoned trader knows that there are bull times and down times.

If you know what you're doing, the remaining money with you, you could day trade with it making 5-10% profit daily. No greed.

All these things crypto , derivatives, CFD Share trading are all gambling. The bible said we should go out in the morning and do our daily work and come back in the evening. I learnt this in a hard way when I used to trade in derivatives and one form of share trading. These are devils territory and you can't beat the devil. You can be making some temporary gains but the day you will loose, it will be more than what you have gained. In 2007 I lost more than £100k when I stop all these things. I am better off now and have greater peace.

You probably don't know what you are talking about. Go read about cryptos like Filecoin or Siacoin, which are planning to decentralize cloud storage. For example Google, Microsoft and Others offer what we use currently for cloud storage. These are centralized storages. So, proponents of cryptos like these would be displacing storage systems offered by Google and likes in the future because they will come with benefits of a decentralized cloud storage systems. Is that not value? Of course, not all cryptos come with such measurable values. Investors backing these proponents with tens of millions of dollars are not stupid.. And stop listening to those old school investors everytime.They are not always right. Pick a crypto that is backed with a value proposition.

Talking about Warren Buffet, the man is yet to understand crypto, which is why he is critical about it. Michael Saylor said the same thing in 2013, but currently, MicroStrategy (Saylor's company) has about 110000 Bitcoin amounting to $75million if my memory serves me right. You should also mention Sam Bank-Friedman (Alameda) and a host of other crypto adherents who are making giant strides (innovations) in both the crypto and Defi space. You can also mention Elon Musk reluctantly. You can also talk about NFTs and see whether your dirty opinion about crypto still stands.

Most persons speaking trash here are trying to create FUD (Fear, Doubt and Uncertainty) and make people sell off their hodlings.

As an advice, don't sell off. This dip is just for a while albeit not yet over. Just looking for any of your coins that the loss is not too steep on or one that you broke even on and sell half since your school needs are urgent. Next time, don't invest money that you may need sooner.

By the way, Op, how did you gain admission into school if your moniker is Failure44? You should change your name if you want to graduate.
