I used to brag about naijaloaded of makinde as the best site in nigeria(tho it was new then), before a friend ask me to check out nairaland. I was a guest for a couple of years cos i was addicted to naijaloaded due to music download. But recently, i was convince that nairaland is another world entirely cos of variety of people u meet and the way they reason and comment.

oga naijaloaded is of more entairment base on music only to nairaland is less in music side.

It was around 2008, was preparing for post UME in Unad... I searched for something relating to Unad concerning the exam on Google...then I started checking each website one after another...Nairaland was so interactive and educative then...met alot of people in my condition then too...

I had about the name of the site from my boss around 2017 on how truthful and sincerity they portray on the current news and all latest gist happening around the world.

Though nairaland has undergone upgrades , it still lagging behind in many features that is common with other social media sites.


Nairaland should have a dislike button.

Site should be capable of video uploads

The emoticons should be upgraded to look more realistic.

I agree most online discussion forums have the thumbs down option eg. Quora, Reddit so nairaland needs it too. Also, the video option. Don't like why we have to use YouTube videos
