Leleky:
Good evening all,
Please, is it advisable to make Hotel booking/reservation for 9 nights for a 10 days vacation or 13 nights for a 14 days vacation considering quarantine things?
Please I'm yet to make my application and travelling date will be around ending of November of first week of December.
Also, considering my budget, salary is 365k, expenses is 80k every month, want to use 570k for the travel as disposable income from salary is 285k.
Your response will be very helpful. Thanks
Are you Fully convinced of a Visa, if visa not granted then how do you get your money back., From experience it's better you say arrangements would be made prior to your coming

It depends on your situation and what you want. But in all u must consider the quarantine period. If u choose the 9 days, make sure to explain to them that u will be paying for day 2, day 8 and day 5 tests so u can leave quarantine after day 5.

Thanks a bunch, your responses are always helpful especially to me. Maybe I will go for 13 days to enable me have day 2, 5 and 8 covid test. Meanwhile I'm fully vaccinated in Nigeria.

It’s sad that this has happened.
Perhaps he should put her on a monthly allowance and henceforth pay into her bank account then try again in 6months?.
Was financial status the only reason given?.
The refusal letter/mail should have contact details on there but like you say no grounds for appeal or administrative review so a letter might not do much.
@tutu, thanks for the advise.
I read on another thread that the monthly upkeep is 3 months and not 6 before we can reapply for her.
Please confirm?
Secondly,he has began paying monthly upkeep into her account, can she make withdrawals or we just leave that amount there and pay in every month.

@gracemartins202 , have u been able to get ur passport back?
gracemartins202:

I'm in a similar position. I didn't get a rejection but my passport has not been returned despite being told that a decision was made since the 24th of June. Please let me know how the escalation with UKVI goes. Mine hasn't yielded anything till date.

Hello all, i go this response from GT while trying to pay for uk visa this morning.

Thank you for using your GTBank Naira MasterCard.

Please be informed that your transaction with the details below could not be completed because you have selected the DCC payment option (Dynamic Currency Conversion) that allows you to pay in Naira, which has been temporarily restricted on all our cards. Please reattempt the transaction and select the currency of the country you are transacting in.

Has anyone paid for UK visa lately and how did they go about it
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Mrking20: 6:00pm On Aug 08, 2021
I got a response from UKVI that my case has been escalated to the relevant department on July 27 but I have not gotten any feedback from them.
gracemartins202:

When did you send the mail? Escalations are typically open for 15 working days. Have you called them?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Lifeisgoody: 6:52pm On Aug 08, 2021
Open a Domiciliary account with GTBank and fund it with dollars. Then request for a Dollar mastercard

there are free dates. U dnt have to pay for anything other than ur visa fee and courier fee(8k) if u live outside lagos or ph. I can only speak about abuja as i recently helped someone book a date, there are spaces every day for the next two weeks for self service
