Getting into the US stock market is easier compared to getting into the nigeria stock market.

This is my 2nd year on this thread and i still can’t figure how to start, where to buy, how to monitor, how dividends are paid.

Nigeria stock market seems strange to me

@Born2conquer I disagree with your statement.
Getting into NGX is simplier than what you think.

It's simple: open a cscs account with a stockbroker. Most stockbrokers have trading platform, as a customer you are given access to the trading floor with that you can trade from any part of the world and also monitor your account.
This is the same basic process all over.

Most times what you get or understand depends on how or what you are interested in.
Two years is too much to know how stocks are bought or sold at the NGX.

I have some folks here that are onboard with investment one stockbrokers in less than a month they already buy and sell stocks.
Some that started earlier are already enjoying dividends.

I will advice if you wish to enter NGX be interested in NGX and forget any negative comments you most have read about the NGX otherwise once you have some reservations before you even start it will still look complicated even after many years.

If you don't mind, to start with NGX click the link on my signature to open a cscs and trading account with investment one stockbrokers within 72hrs you will be onboard.

You can also be assisted and trained on how to buy or sell stocks.

I wish you all the best.

Onboarding on US stock is still easier. Dividend processing on NGX is even annoying

YOU COULDN'T CHOOSE YOUR CITIZENSHIP BEFORE YOU CAME, BUT YOU CAN CHOOSE WHERE TO STAY FOREVER, AFTER THIS LIFE.

Most of us grew up and found ourselves to be citizens of nations we dislike. Obviously there's nothing ...

We are entitled to our opinions. The word easy is relative. Depending on your experience and environment what you considered easy or difficult may be otherwise to others.

Onbording on US stock may be easier as you noted but that does not make Onbording on NGX difficult

We are not saying NGX is perfect but nothing extraordinary in terms of its operations.

I know we must have operated in other markets perhaps more robust but it's a fact that trading on NGX is not complicated.

The process of getting dividend is not actually a market thing other systems and policies which affects the larger society is involved.

The truth is that the process of getting dividend in Nigeria is much better now compare to what it used to be many years back and I'm sure it will still improve.

What you see in US market is not isolated from the general US economy, systems and processes. Let's compare Apple for Apple

US and Nigeria no bi the same.
So that difference will always be there,
but be sure we are getting there!

NGX is our brand let's promote it.

listed the measures as automation for mandating to e-DMMS, increased monitoring of adherence to procedures and increased awareness campaigns on the initiative.

Mr Yuguda added that a training session would be organised by the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) to be supported by the e-DMMS technical committee, Institute of Capital Market Registrars and Association of Securities Dealing Houses of Nigeria.

Yes o my brother

BUT

The devil is in the details........::

If u really care to understand why and how those symbols we all click to trade get to us, then
I don't believe getting into the US stock market is easier than the Nigerian market.....

I'm personally giving all those trove and Chaka apps 10 years to prove themselves before I delve in fully.... Then they might have sort out all their teething problems in the business.........

In finance, a big red flag is always raised when big ticket transactions are opened up to all manner of people to join in.......

I still encourage those apps as they might revolutionize the whole trading thing in nigeria

Yes, i am also not thinking longterm because these guys are merely apps.

They can decide to close down or go offline and that’s all.

Any business that survive 10years in Nigeria means business

With the online filling of forms and uploads, they will get your e-dividend mandate ready.....
But they still need your signature specimen from your broker If you bought from the secondary market.

It is advisable to fill the transfer form immediately you purchase stocks from the secondary market especially if you are targeting dividend.
