lol Jameson never get fake in Nigeria yet, wetin dey available now na parallel(smuggled jameson for European Market finding its way to 9ja).
They taste different no doubt, with the parallel even tasting better a little bit.
Well, there is something just recently launched now by Grant's that might rival jameson. The Grant's 12yrs and it has all it takes to pose a serious threat.

Yes,I know Woodford whiskey,na wetin I dey drink right now as me and you dey talk laidis grin

You sabi! We call it Odudu in my place (Isuikwuato) and my grandma used to make it a lot. You cook it like regular beans and then add Ji apu (my dialect for akpu mmiri) and Ugba to it. Very tasty.

Pavore9:

Ate it growing up. It was usually cooked overnight, it was then mixed with akpu mmiri (wet cassava chips, especially ones shredded with knives) palm oil, ehuru (African nutmeg) akanwu (potash), crayfish, salt and pepper while some do sprinkle in ugba/ukpaka.....na traditional meal that takes time to prepare! cheesy

You can be creative with it, accompanying with carbohydrates such as yam but it can take forever to cook, reason it is regarded as an old woman's delicacy! cheesy

I really enjoy eating oats,it is my best food,I also enjoy oat swallow,it is better than garri, fufu and other swallow that are dangerous to the health. I remember then when I use to take eba,I would always feel heavy and lazy but with oat it is different,I feel light after taking it,the only downside is that it is expensive.
Most people don't care about their health, all they know is to eat anything that looks like food. If you tell them that pounded yam is bad, they will tell you that their forefathers ate it and lived to an old age but they forget that men of old worked hard on their farms from morning till night and most times they eat their food with lots of vegetables, and they take herbs from time to time.I just hope one day people will realize that what they eat plays a major role in how healthy you are.
The truth is that myself and the average Nigerian cannot afford oat talk more of using it as swallow. The least price of 500g pack of Oat is 1000 naira. Now, imagine using 1000 for just two swallows. It will not even be enough to feed a family of 3 per eating (swallow).

IMO, there's nothing bad in eating yam/pounded yam. We should not let this white people deceive us or make our traditional meal look like poison. Yam is a good source of carbohydrate (polysaccharide) and we (Nigerians) need enough energy to survive this era. Also, yam is not eaten alone. We enjoyed our yam with soups which are good source of proteins (meat, fish) and other vital elements.

Like you said, we need to work out. It's very important we work out and take fruits, herbs and other nature's supplements.

Forgive my sermon.

Wow!! Congratulations. Why didn't you snap and post na. More flour to your batter.

islamics:

I did that. Just as you said; yeast + sugar in warm water and allow for a while.
You should try again and allow the yeast to bubble before using, else discard

Wouldn’t that be heavy? Considering the fact that baking powder does not have enough power to proof a dough mixture till its at least double in size.

Unless it’s the cake doughnut mixture you’re referring to...

Your submission is very flawed and I can't seem to ignore it. Pounded yam is bad? Please tag that nutritionist that told you this nonsense or point me to the website that mentioned it because it's crap. Absolute crap. Many of the native foods we eat in Nigeria are healthy but our problem starts from portion control.

I'm not a fan of pounded yam but I'm supposed to give you a hard knock on your head for the statement. It's not like people chew the pounded yam. People pair it with vegetables and different kinds of proteins.

The fact that you opened your mouth waaaaaaaaaaa to spew untrue facts just annoys me. Ahn ahn.

I'm very sure the quantity of pounded yam you consume is different from the quantity of oat you consume.

I have many things to say but I'll stop here.

Ahhhhh, Rita, I suppose knock you oo grin
