You are right! You are not a misogynist, just as Hitler was not a racist.
Let me drill this down your ears. Women are complicated beings, just as men are. They come in all shades and forms. There is no size that fits all. And your limited experience does not justify the carte blanche demonization of women. My former boss was a lady. And I would take a bullet for her sake. She was the opposite of everything you defined a 'female boss' as.

When dealing with a female boss, one thing you need to master is your emotions. Forget your ego and stoop to conquer. Make sure you always compliment them. Anytime she make a decision, flatter her and say you look up to her. Bingo! You're starting to getting her fall into your trap. She will start thinking about you. Don't stop there, buy her gifts. Compliment her. Make sure you know more about her. Make her a friend. Be interested in her like a family. But never lose yourself. Be professional in your work. Hmmmmm!!! I guess you have not work with some ppl? "...buy them gift," don't do this if you don't have their approval.

That is their problem.. they want you to be loyal and submissive which is not part of professionalism. Some will even go as far as asking you to go to the market to buy foodstuff or do their house chores just because you work under them.

May God provide a much better job for you soonest.

Amen, i believe this

Just find a way of "ass licking" them. My first boss when I joined the banking sector was a woman. I would praise her to high heaven. Sometimes she came with food from home and while eating it, I would be like, " Madam, this food smells nice and your husband must be enjoying". She would laugh and always found ways of trying to tell me things so that I would give her the kind of answers she would want.

I would praise her and her kids to high heavens to the extent that I had to come to her house to coach her son that was preparing for Federal government college entrance exam then. She was so impressed that I was favored among the staff under her. She was mean to the core and was dreaded by all, but I found favor with her. Sometimes, she sent me to her house with driver to pick up something and I practically warmed myself to her. It was a game I played very well since I could not change or select my boss. She was the one doing appraisal and a lot of things are taken into consideration. If you have been into corporate world, you would understand.

There was time she did 10 years marriage anniversary and invited everybody, including staff. I was practically serving food, doing every chore. When people left that Sunday evening, I went to the back of the house and started washing plates and coolers with her Nanny. She came to the back of the house to drop some plates and found me and shouted that I should leave the place and stop washing the plates. I said, " madam, don't worry, it was nothing." She stood there and was looking at me.

It was around, 8:30pm and I was about to go. She was staying in a massive duplex in festac, while I was leaving at Ire-Akari estate. She insisted that I should not go, that I should go and sleep at their boys quarter. But I told her that tomorrow was Monday and I needed to go home and prepare for work. She said I should not bother coming to the office in the morning and should take two days off. I did stay in their house, helped her kids with their weekend homework and other things.

In the morning, before leaving, the husband gave me N10k and one new Turkish suite that he has not used before. The man is well to do anyway. Since that day, I was one of the most favored staff, recommending me for promotion. This was someone that everybody saw as "wicked" and feared by staff. She could shout to people anyhow and woe to you if you fail to balance your investment account after close of business.

When an opportunity came for someone to be recommended for a new project, she didn't waste time and put me forward. It was not that I was not good on my job, but I needed to build good relationship with her to help my career. In life and in corporate world, your boss can determine the trajectory of your growth. You must manage the person and play to his/her sentiments and massage ego.

But you must know your job and be dedicated. Adding interpersonal relationship and managing difficult bosses are just the icing on the cake.

Such a shame.
I've discovered that people who behave like this, actually have no skills set or pride. If you're good at your job and have personal pride and confidence in your expertise, you'd never stoop so low as to go and serve food in to bosses house or wash dishes, it's shameful that you even say this with pride, I hope you're not a guy ,cause that will even be more disastrous.

I keep telling people to know their worth and build skills, if you do, you'd be reverenced and sort after, your boss will recognize your opinion and see you as someone who she can take to meetings. You'd get leftover projects and stupid roles because you've decided to place yourself in such position.

Its shameful that most people think the best way to get around female bosses is to be a simp and resort to cheap tactics such as ass licking and taking up derogatory status just please them.

But the shocker is that, bosses see through all this, and it's not an issue with gender, because everyone likes to get their asses licked and enjoy compliments, but one thing that have always worked is respect ,professionalism and expertise. If you have these traits, it doesn't matter whom you work for, you'd excel , and not only will your boss take your opinion seriously, they'd be confident enough to allow you take up leadership roles when they aren't around, this is why, the ass lickers only gets stupid projects like being sent on stupid errands ,stupid cash gifts and gossip times, it's the competent that gets the leadership roles and promotion, it'd the competent that she wants to keep in the team.

Build your competence , don't be an ass licker and people pleaser, have some self worth

Bosses, regardless of gender, tend to be trash because they're not in a leadership position due to competence and hard work. They're there because of whose backside they kissed, because no one is afraid they'll outshine them, because they're easily manipulated/scared, because they think having the title of "boss" is some rare accomplishment, because it doesn't take much to satisfy/retain them, because they happen to know the right person, because they're trash and won't change the status quo, and many other similar reasons.

No offense, but the average boss is someone with less to offer than the people under them.

Furthermore, I don't see how a male could have much to complain about with female bosses. Males don't really have to worry about s3xual harassment or sexism from women. And they don't really have to worry too much about jealousy or rivalry. They don't really have to worry about female bosses trying or demanding for them to be bffs. These are the normal things women have to deal with from males and women.

This is not a misogynistic post just an observation from me. Do you guys also experience this.

Ive had the fortune (or misfortune ) of having worked under female bosses only.... While in the hospitality industry and now in public service. Female private bosses are usually arrogant and abusive...mainly because of attitude of nigerians to work which they see as lazy and thieves, their aggression is meant to scare you and ensure you work every minute of your working hours and overtime most times...but if you are willing you will learn a lot from them especially how to manage nigerian workers
In the public sector women that attain leadership positions are also aggressive but not abusive (public service rules dont allow that) and most times they are professionals and one can also learn a lot from them if one is patient and willing to learn

Overall you need a lot of patient with female bosses and i also noticed they prefer the working the men hard and are usually lienient with their female empleyees

You see why we detest when men give women power just for sake of they are women and should be included in leadership, cos people like "focusmind" do betray and rubbish the system licking pussy just to find favour.

Naturally, in his heart he never saw her as a leader but one the men at the top had placed for him to suck their pricks through..

Would he have done all that if it were to be a male boss? We see through those bullsh***ts.

Let us be truthful here. In the hearts of many men, they don't see women as leaders. They just accept it cos they can't do nothing about it due to societal arrangee. If you doubt just see how more men would react to his story after reading it.

However, we have some very useless SIMPs who would tell you to control your emotions, do this and that when around female bosses. So I ask, one( a man) needs to have some specific skills when dealing with them? Mumu boys everywhere.

Cos, arguably, the op' is asking only men how they feel working under a woman.
It is a subconscious thang. By default Many men don't wanna work under no woman.

Stop this already....there are good bosses and bad bosses, their gender has nothing to do with their personalities.

All this nonsense about gender bias in the work place has to stop. I'm sure you are male and have had or heard of a bad male boss before.

My reaction exactly.

The best boss I ever had, who took a personal interest in me and actively pursued my self-development was a lady. The worst have been men, though I won't say that is down to gender.

The one thing I might say though, from anecdotal evidence, is that if you're a physically imposing, smart and dominant type, female bosses find it hard to be assertive with you.
