Hello Friends
Thanks

Posting the same thing three times makes the thread unwieldy.

Since you complied with the rules, what is the fear you are entertaining? It shouldn't be an issue.
Quick questions
The previous four occasions you visited the US, were they on the same visa or different visas.
How long did you stay on each visit?

It's not a sin if she/he can't afford it as at that time

Doesnt that make it even worse?

1. If he could not afford an evacuation flight, then how did he afford to stay 4 more months? How can he prove that he can afford his next visit?
2. Did he have a job in Nigeria? What happened to that job? It certainly couldn't be that important to him if he was not willing to do all it took to get on the evacuation flight.

Hello Friends and family, How are you guys? please i humbly need your urgent reply.

Due to Last year Lockdown, I overstayed in the US uptill 9months. form February 18th 2020 to November 20th 2020

I traveled to US on the 18/02/2020 and was suppose to return back to Lagos, Nigeria 31st of March 2020, due to the Airport closure that started 20/03/2020 in Nigeria my flight was cancelled. but i quickly filed for an Extension in the US and i have been issued with a receipt by the USCIS FORM I-797C (Notice of Action for Extension).

This would by my 4th time Visit in the US, I have never overstayed my visit except this very last one as mentioned above that was
caused by the global Covid 19 Pandemic lockdown and ENDSARS protest in Nigeria.

Now I'm about to renew my B1/B2 Visa again, i hope i'm good to go?.

Please your reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

I will advise you not to put in for renewal at the moment.........Wait until things normalize.........the Interviewer don't have time to Verify the I-797C.......

Hi everyone, to those that have travelled to the US, is it acceptable to bring grounded locust beans, smoked fish, bitter kola and garri to the US? Will there be an issue at the POE?

Thanks

As long as these items are dry you are fine. For the locust bean as long as you grind it and it is dry

Good morning all,

I am currently in the UK as a student with my wife but have a tourist application appointment scheduled for December.
Planning to travel down to Nigeria for the interview, please can someone suggest likely questions or documents to come along with and a scale of 1-10 if the experts can tell my chances of getting it.

Thanks.

Hello guys,
I’m an American citizen also a soldier in the US army. I have been trying my best for my younger brother to come here on student visa but he was rejected three times and at first for a visit visa with my mum.
I’m planning to apply another masters degree for him, what’s the tendency that he will get the visa, what’s the next available visa appointment date for B1/B2 planning that for my mum too.

Are you the one filling the form or an agent? Also find out if there's a mistake he made in his first interview. These guys keep notes. What course is he applying for? Is it courses meant for only residents? Eg Law and medicine? Something is wrong somewhere.

At that time I applied for MBA course for him but now I’m trying to apply for a masters in political science cos his bachelors is in political science too.
As per visit visa what’s is the earliest available appointment for now in lagos.

How did you get your own citizenship? That could be what is impacting on your brother's application.

Switching from MBA to political science masters shows the person is not really sure what he really wants to study. The application has to be very convincing.

I have a registered dealership business and i have been in business for over 5years. My cars are sourced from major USA car auctions with proof for it. I dont indulge in illegality of any form, i pay taxes to both Nigerian and USA government.

So how is it an issue or why will my Visa application not be successful as seen in other people experience?

Honestly i need a sincere feedback from an experience member of the house.

Thanks.

So should I make him stick to his MBA program. 2 years ago when he was denied he got an I-20 from a private university and now I’m thinking of getting him an admission from a state university then also applying for MSC political science since he has a bachelors and in that.

Your application will not be judged based on your car import business. People work with oil companies, Telcos, fintech, own chain of businesses and they are denied.
You are coming to conclusions based on hearsays.

Planning to travel down to Nigeria for the interview, please can someone suggest likely questions or documents to come along with and a scale of 1-10 if the experts can tell my chances of getting it.

Thanks.

Since you are legally in the UK, why didn't you apply over there instead of coming to Nigeria for the interview?
The questions will be based on your DS-160 form. You won't be asked anything outside what you provided.

Since you are a student in the UK why didn't you do your interview in the UK? You qualify for such on the basis of your status as a student.

Why the switch in course? You have to be consistent. Like I said earlier, something in the first Interview didn't go well. I believe that's the reason for the rejections. Also how did you become a citizen too? It could be a factor too.

Let me explain.
I got to US with a student visa in 2016, in 2018 I invited my mum and my brother for my graduation(infront of the VO my brother forgot my course of study so he said I was studying accounting I think and my mum said no he’s studying healthcare Management) red flag so they were denied.
Boom 2019 I got him an MBA admission he went for a student visa twice or three times stating my mum is gonna be his sponsor.
Now my mum retired and I wanna sponsor him now.I was thinking of changing his MBA to MSc political science or should he still maintain the same MBA admission from another school. In 2019 I got a temporary two years greencard card then I joined the military so I became a citizen. I could file a greencard petition for him but it will take 5-8years because he’s above 21years. So my immigration status have nothing to do with him.

Why not apply from UK since you’re residing in the UK legally.
I got my visa from Dubai because I was working over there, although I was rejected at first then I got it the second time.
Thanks.

how did you get your Temporary 2 Years Green Card? your Immigration Status have a lot to do with his application. I will advise you to Process UK Student Visa and he can Apply from UK.........the visa Denied have nothing to do with the Course of Study. i think you Should File for him and not to Apply for Another Student Visa. the First Interview probably put him in the Red-list

My guess is the problem is your brother. The fact that you are the one doing all the leg work for him, that he can't remember what course you are studying... makes it clear he really isn't a serious student and this is just a way for him to immigrate to the US. The VOs probably sensed that right away. He needs to take charge of his own destiny. Besides, not every sibling will find a way to get into the US.
