Their agent called me and threaten that he will not clear me and that he will keep sending those messages to my contacts after I told him I will not pay the interest on the loan
It was after that I start receiving another form of threat from this agent

Go and report to the police. They did the same thing to a married woman in Lagos who had paid them their money. The police tracked the number and arrested the holder and charged him to court for libel and blackmain

Arrest all you want it does not change the fact that she defaulted on a loan agreement and is indebted to a loan company!

They told you they want to access your contacts when u wanted to installed thier app & u gave them go ahead. U also agree with their term & condition
Then, the aggrement u had with them is to paid back at agreed time so why are you complaining?

Just see the kind messy wahala people put themselves in, avoid loan apps you won’t hear, you collected money and agreed to pay in 7 days of which I am sure you didn’t plan to even pay because you feel they can’t do you anything, don’t go and pay your interest be looking for easy way out, they will disgrace you, nonsense, all my friends I borrowed money one way or the other even when small money will open mouth and say they don’t expect me to ask them for the money back, am I Father Christmas?, that’s why I don’t help again

QUESTION:
When you were unable to repay on time, did you contact them?
EXPERIENCE:
I have got two of such message too about friends who didn't pay back on time. One is even very recent. They said my number was provided as emergency contact. I didn't know the first person but i know the second person. As for the first person,i simply sent a whatsapp message asking their legal team if they called me to ascertain maybe their customer knew in the first place. I asked if they see me in person while processing the loan. I asked if I was physically present or if I signed ahy guarantor form. I strictly told them to stop sending such message to me or i will take legal action against them. They stopped.
As for the second person,I told her to go and do the necessary.
ADVICE:
Go and pay what you owed. If they continue with the threatening message,blast them.

From a short 7 days loan and a very high interest you expect people not to default? If you understood the game well you should have used dummy contacts when applying and tell them to go ahead and message them. All these loan apps must be eliminated from Google play

People take loans from these apps because they are desperate to solve urgent needs only to discover they have signed agreements with the devil. Where in this world do you give a salary earner loan to pay back in 7 days.
Truth is they operate outside the lending regulations of Nigeria. A lender is supposed to consider the income source and timing of the borrower. No bank is allowed to take monthly repayment that is more than 40% of your monthly salary except in some cases. These loan apps with the exception of few are just cashing out on Nigerians because we care too much. They threaten to publish ur name on the media which they CAN NEVER TRY. Send the police after you on top 10k?. Its high time they close up and go. They are fraudsters themselves.

To be frank, I do not like your kind of person. You understood the conditions of the loan, you knew you were to pay an interest, you went ahead and collected the loan and now you're here complaining. I hardly borrow, never borrowed from these apps but whenever I borrow from anyone, I make sure I pay within the time I promised to pay back, and if I happen to default, I sincerely apologize and beg for more time. Funny how people get arrogant after you loan them money. I really hate that attitude. Go and pay back what you owe bro.

The terms and conditions are for your perusal, you agreed to it after downloading the apps and you agreed to your contacts synced with there platform. It's well stated the charges/intrest rate and for prolonging to pay the debt you know automatically it attracts extra charges.
It will be of interest and for peace of mind to clear ur debt plus interest accured.
Rather than borrowing money from loan app/loan sharks, speak with your trusted friends or colleague to borrow you money. This kind of attitude of your to be honest is killing business and taking food off people's mouth.

Such people can no longer borrow from friends and family cos they have already exhausted all the goodwill they have by borrowing and refusing to pay back previous loans!

This is stale. If this were to be so, they would all have gone out of business, but more loan companies are springing up everyday. What does that tell you? Nigerians are borrowing and repaying back. Sure there'll be a few who are unable to due to extreme poverty, but these loan companies are balling mhen. Crazy interest rates, unregulated market. Sigh!
