That my parents don't look alike doesn't mean it is superstition. It's not. The images posted above by the OP and several others on the Internet are few proofs. Most times when a research is conducted in science, it doesn't mean that it is applicable to everybody. For example research say that smoking causes lung cancer but there are a lot of chronic smokers who lived till over 90years and died of other causes than cancer.

I also didn't believe it... probably still dont believe it but the fact that when my wife and I step out, strangers ALWAYS think we are siblings, makes me rethink my stance.

Wifey and I work in the same organization. One day we had to go to the Ministry of Education to process some documents. Officials there knew me but not my wife.

When we both stepped in, the first thing the woman said to me was "ah bros, you no tell us say you get sister oh".

Actually, they said we mostly get attracted to features that look familiar to us...features recognized in the mirrors and other familiar faces around. No wonder the most familiar faces are ours in the mirror or families around. No wonder, after a while, we start to mimick the expressions of the persons we spend so much time with.
