10% of my increase is for my tithe to God. A portion of my earnings also goes to the needy. I also give a portion to my parents, as well as to any church projects as they come. I do not use money allocated for one purpose to pay the other.

Ever since the Holy Spirit taught me this mystery, what I give to the needy as well as the 10% of my earnings paid as tithe have both been increasing. Same with what I give to towards mission projects. Win-win situation for everyone.

God is not a robber. Whatever you do in terms of giving, do it unto God and in 100% obedience and cheerfully.

You are going to Nepa office to pay your bills and you notice a NEPA pole almost falling down, you have only your NEPA bill and a little change with you, you call some people to fix the pole so it didn't fall and pay them with the Nepa bill in your hand. Does that settle your bill?

Na logic go kill many people. God demanded for Tithes of all things, yet you are using your own small logic to help God divide am. Continue! Tithes are for Levites pure and simple. If you claim that all Nigerian Pastors and Pastors world all over aren't Levites, you might have a valid argument. If you say that not all Pastors were called by God or continue in the call of God for their ministries, you are even most likely right, but don't let oversabi kill you with the radarada picture you were trying to paint. The picture speaks more of your foolishness than your ignorance.
is this what your pastor told you? What do the bible say about tithe. I think the bible should be our guide and not what our pastors say. So pls do your research using the bible . then you can come back and tell us what you found out using scriptures as a bases for discussion
Re: Tithe: How Would You React To This Picture? by Sent87: 7:43pm On Nov 28, 2021
What Jesus will do is found in Mark 7:11-12
You can use the tithe and offering to help the needy assuming that is the only money you can spare at the moment. If you still have excess, pay your tithe and give your offering and use your residual funds to help the needy.
Re: Tithe: How Would You React To This Picture? by staga: 7:44pm On Nov 28, 2021
Giving is not done in isolation. If you do all the giving that is required, but you carry malice or you give grudgingly or with murmuring and complaint in your heart, your giving is unacceptable to God.

Cain gave, but his offering was rejected because he had sin in his heart.

Since you know my Bible more than me, why not tell me what your own Bible says instead of whipping up sentiments.

You can use the tithe and offering to help the needy.

Stop deceiving people.

If you cannot spare out of your 90% to give to the needy and decide to use the 10% that belongs to God for that purpose, you are a wicked man with an evil and selfish heart.

Can a man rob God? You know how much a cylinder of oxygen costs? Ask those in COVID isolation wards. Then you will know that you cannot rob the One who gave you free air to breathe.

The wisdom of giving leads to receiving. He would surely make a way for you, same way He made it possible for you to give to both causes

I think the question is can I honour God with my offering and tithe, and still help the needy.

2. Does my offering and tithe disengage me from helping the needy?
3. If I can offer my tithe to God, I can help the needy too. It's not a thing to choose. It's a life to live in

NB: if I get #100 u con say make I go church give #10 oga u are on ur own cos the money no go even do me...

Calm down, why are you so contentious, that Scripture I quoted is also a commandment. That is what Jesus would expect or command us to do. Again, calm down and let the peace of Christ reign in you.

About Tithe Directly From The Bible:

Deuteronomy 14 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
²² Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
²³ And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
²⁴ And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
²⁵ Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
²⁶ And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
²⁷ And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
²⁸ At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
²⁹ And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

Bros are you really serious about Jesus bro g about malachi 3:10? You make me laugh sha. Any ways male3:10 is a comand to the levites and not to the people. Pls read Neh 10:38 to confirm this. While how you should handle the tithe is in Deut 14:22-29 to confirm this read Deut 26:12-13

Are you certain the contention here comes from me though? Your quote suggested we are to do as Jesus Christ did. Mine was to correct that notion since it is incorrect. undecided

Jesus Christ lived according to the Old Covenant Law of Moses, this in order to fulfill the Old Law on behalf of all those He was sent to ransome from it, so He did not do as He commanded us to do. undecided

Now if one tell this Religious Christians that they lack biblical understanding, they will start insulting you.
Your Neighbour will be hungry and ask you for just 200naira for bread, you will tell him you are going to Church and all you have with you is your Tithe and will refuse to help him. You will start going everywhere preaching a Gospel you don't know. You will still tell ppl that they are going to your immaginaty hell and you are going to heaven. Your Neighbour is their hungry and might not eat for that day. You ppl are decieving yourselves. The Sovereign Father is not interested in your Religious obligations but for you to do good and live right. The Most important Laws is to Love your Creator and neighbour. Religion and all it's activities won't take you anywhere. Righteousness will. You can be Righteous without belonging to any religion. None of your Pastors are qualified to recieve tithe. Help the poor!

If you had actually considered what Jesus Christ said in context - Matthew 7 vs 1 - 13 , you would have instead seen clearly Jesus Christ's message there to us which is that we reject every doctrines and traditions of men as they are all of them lies, an abomination where God's Truth is concerned. undecided

. This script you quoted is actually a command to the levites and not the people. It is 10% of the tithe that is actually stored in the store house (Neh 10:38) The manner in which the tithe is to be handled is stated in Deut 14: 22- 29 which shows that it belongs to the levites, orphans, widows and yourself. To confirm check Deut 26:12-13
Thank you. Lots of these people are clueless pastor worshipers calling themselves Christians.
