Mr. Illiterate, I am not the cause of your frustration. I can explain it to you, but I can't help you understand it. No high school education, but are working as what in which company? Lol. To work in Chic Fill A, or at Walmart, you need high school cert. Here you are expecting a multinational company to employ someone without a high school cert. For a huge position. You must be a big dreamer. Go online and apply for a top position at Microsoft or IBM without a high school cert. Illiterate.what has inferiority complex has to do with facts and requirements

Get a life dulls
grin grin grin
Who is the illiterate now?
Is higher education the same thing as high school?
LMAO. The arrogant ones are always the ignorant ones.

I've said it before. Many of this HR guys or recruiters aren't half as qualified as the people they interview.

LMAO...In your first sentence, you wrote "High Schoolers" which means High school students. You can see you are a complete illiterate. Now I see why you couldn't comprehend my first post.

You better go back to school and stop disgracing your family here..... So arrogant that you couldn't even read what you wrote. For your information, I have attached the meaning of the high schooler you wrote earlier.

You started your first sentence with, and I quote "Continue. So many American high schoolers who have no higher education cert but are working fine in companies" - Literally, you just said so many American high school students without higher education cert...........You can see you are brain dead.....

This idiot went to screenshot the meaning of higher schoolers here sha.

You've not only proven that you do not know what higher education means but that your reading comprehension skills is next to zero.

So please go back to my initial comment, read it a number of times again. Call a friend of yours who is at least a tad bit smarter than you're, try to break the comment sentence by sentence, then word for word and hopefully you get it this time.

That guy's gatekeeping is fvcking annoying. Typical Nigerian. All degree, no skills. Thankfully recruiters like him are in the minority.

I mean top companies will do anything to get you if you have a mind-blowing portfolio of projects and can defend them by demonstrating core CS knowledge. No one cares about your damn degree.

But people like that guy...they wouldn't even give you a chance because they didn't see a 'masters degree' on your CV. Archaic mentality.

.... I sent it to you to read because I know you are brain dead. I don't know who you're, but I am sure you are dumb. Listen, I have done several projects for multinational companies that all you can do is to dream to be a part of. My present project is with a fortune 500 company, and it took 3 major interviews to nail the contract. Trust me, you won't even be shortlisted for the position let alone get an opportunity for an interview.

I know you are brain dead, and I will not waste my time with you.

Sorry chief, but how would you complain of 35k for a course that would totally change your life when you learn it, I’m not bill gates but you wouldn’t even think of learning a computer skill if people in it already are not earning well from it.

Lol..... I hire at least 20 - 30 candidates every month. I can share my LinkedIn and ATS with you to see my job posting and hiring.

Those people you mentioned are based in Nigeria, Iam saying, nobody wants to hire a U.S based programmer without a B.sc. By the way, the millions you think they are earning is peanuts to those I hire with Masters degree. Take my word for it.

I am not here to argue, I am stating facts. I belong to several U.S based recruiters groups and forums, nobody is looking for a Developer without a degree in the U.S.

Go and kook at any U.S job post online. 93% requires a Bachelors degree except handymans job.

I keep laughing when people say the word is changing and degree's are no longer needed. I can bet on it, 95% of Indian developers in the U.S have at least a Bachelors degree, and a large percent have a masters degree. That is why they have an edge over other nationals. They are gurus but still acquiring more knowledge. Sit there and think degrees are outdated when millions around the globe are pursuing degrees daily.

I am presently hiring for Executive Assistant to a CEO, U.S based candidates, and we need someone with a Bachelors degree. I will not submit a candidate without a Bachelors degree, and I can tell you, no recruiter will do that either. Once a client sends you a candidate requirement, you have to stick to it......... Degrees are highly rated anywhere.
Please must it be a Computer Science degree? What of some with BSc in Information Technology

I will like to enlighten those who are young. If your dream is to be in the I.T sector, and you have the opportunity to have your Bachelors degree in any computer related field, please do so and disregard those who are are saying degrees are not important. Your degree will give you an edge over others.

Get certifications and project experience where necessary.

Here is a screenshot of a job by Microsoft..... Don't listen to this illiterates. Even though some of the jobs might state "Bachelors degree required, however experience in related field are accepted". Trust me, they will pick someone who has same experience with you, however, if the person has a degree, he/she is most likely to be chosen.

If you're older, get the necessary certifications while you're self learning, and do some projects. Do not listen to the illiterates here.

The present CEO of Google have got an MBA. Don't let this illiterates deceive you.

The truth be say, e no easy to teach programming. The prices are not justified, as i taught myself web, android and now embedded systems. But it wasnt easy, the difficult days i felt like quiting, wasted over 6months, before i discovered how to learn. If you have the patience, teach yourself.
How do you learn on YouTube and Udemy?

Na wetin dem dey talk be this. With 15K data sub I go see those videos for free online.
I decided to reply you because you sounded a bit civil in your criticism unlike the other critics.
Let me start with the very beginning of my journey to become a professional software developer. I was an undergraduate degree student in the only federal university of technology in the entire South East and I was in my second year (2013). I approached one of my fellow student in the same department like mine (computer science) and I told him that I wanted to learn web development because he has earlier informed us that he has the skills and will teach any one who's interested for a fee, I enrolled and he taught me the very basic s of html, css, and javascript. But it was very clear that I can't even get a job with what I have learnt from this course mate of mine. But it was a very good eye opener and I started learning on my own via YouTube and W3C. Fast forward to 2016 when I finished and went for nysc, I realized that despite all the learning I have done, I am not yet confident enough to start applying for jobs because I know that I am still missing some vital knowledge and skills set. The thing with learning on YouTube is that it might not give you the "streamlined" and "all in one" course that will fast track your growth in web development. If you are already experienced, then you can easily search for a particular topic/feature in a programming language on YouTube and you will be fine. But if you are a novice, you "can" easily be overwhelmed learning on YouTube. Remember some YouTubers are only after the views and not about "teaching" you the subject matter. This is why I resorted to buying courses online from platforms like Udemy, LinkedIn learning and from individual websites like codewithmosh.com, Vue Mastery etc.
These courses helped me get my first job because
(1.) The creators where detailed enough in the subject matter that I had a firm understanding on these topicals after taking the courses. I'm talking about 30 hours video courses with tons of real life projects.
(2.) The courses were directional and streamlined focusing on ALL I needed to know.
(3.) This might not be a strong point, but the project I used to wow my first employer was built with while I was taking a full stack web development from udemy, in fact, it was the instructors project, I just coded along.

Now to end this, let me inform you that some YouTubers also have their personal website where they sell courses and have people subscribe to on monthly basis or yearly basis. Now, do you think they will put the same contents on their paid courses on their free YouTube channels.

Lastly, what I am selling are the same courses I bought online but I was able to find a way to download it offline (I understand that it might be theft sha).
If you factor in the costs of downloading these courses and the costs of purchasing them, you will see that it is worth it.
I'm sorry for the long post.

It's ok. We have a major problem in hand. People are taking massive advantage of their fellow men. Most computer schools give average (at best) in trainings. We need everyone to start waking up.

Na so E be oooo grin grin. I remembered when I paid almost 300K to learn Java at NIIT. I no even gain anything from them, I just jejely catwalk leave them and the money. When I started teaching myself, I come even sabi pass people wey don dey code for 5years ago. No need wasting that kind big money in learning programming except you just need the certificate. You can always get good videos and books online that would help you. And most importantly, get a mentor wey go guide you, else you go just dey run in circle. Whem I first start programming on my own, I dey read/code for 12hours everyday. I come dey even dream sef say I dey teach people programming because my life was focused on it. This programming na the only thing wey you no need certificate before getting a good job in 9ja. Provided you sabi, certificate no dey count. Now I dey make shakara for jobs in 9ja grin.
Next year, na Canada jobs I go dey apply for because I deserve big money now. My brother, no pay anybody big money to learn programming. Go online and download books and videos. But get yourself a mentor or a programming friend wey una go dey motivate each other, else you go frustrate later if nobody to encourage you.
My advise to you if you wan learn programming and work for 9ja. Know the following in the ascending order:
1. HTML
2. CSS & BOOTSTRAP OR MATERIAL UI
3. VANILLA JAVASCRIPT
4. REACT JS
5. NODE JS
6. MONGO DB

Those na the first thing I go advise you to learn. After that one, enter Python and thank me later

Please can you kindly give me your WhatsApp or email??
