Please i need help and clarification, if you are a foreigner working in another country, during your interview, if you are asked your plan after graduation, what should you say,
1. Going back to your country to work. or

2. Going back to the country where you are currently working?

Please i need assistance on this.

thanks

Please my school is due to resume on the 31st of January, 2022 and I was given a visa appointment for July 29th, 2022. I applied for emergency visa appointment date twice from my portal and it was denied. Please what can I do to be able to get a date before 31st of January.

Here's my email: manueldelflexy@gmail.com
I assume it's Lagos that denied you. So, cancel the appointment and book for Abuja.
Abuja usually approves emergency request.

I don't think working alone in a foreign country is a very strong home tie. But in case you are permanent resident(PR) of that foreign country, you can state that you will be returning there. If that's not the case (no PR residency or citizenship of that foreign country), I will suggest you tell VO that you will return to your home country (Nigeria). In the latter case, i think it's imperative you tell VO about strong ties that will take you back to Nigeria.

I stand to be corrected by the gurus in the house.

Good evening dear. Its not a pre-recorded interview but a zoom interview with the admission committee. So I need interview tips to scale through.
Osidowu:

Don't fright, the interview is pre-recorded. It is just to meet you in person and assess how well you can communicate and think on your feet.

You will be given a few seconds to think before responding to each question. ( of course not ample time to think thou).
You could be asked the following questions relating to how you heard about Northeastern, specific questions about the MBA program course module just to know how well you have done your research.

Also, prepare for questions around your Leadership role experience, working in a team, and communication skills such as essay writing as these are core requirements for the program.
Best of Luck!

Good day Ladies and gentlemen. I am new to this forum and I would like to know if there are ways to gain work permit after studying a 1year certificate program in a community college in the USA? Any valuable response will be highly appreciated.

Plus I haven't been understanding the abbreviations on this thread

1. Start from somewhere.
2. Look for schools and apply to them.
3. If you get an offer of admission, accept and you’d get a form named I-20. This is the form that contains what the amount you’d be paying and it’s same form you’d be presenting to get your visa.
4. Pay visa fee (67,200) on GTBank.
5. Pay Sevis fee of $350.
6. Schedule an interview.
7. Attend the interview.

You need to get to stage 3 before moving further to stage 4 and above please.

Cheers!

Happy Sunday brethren. I have asked countless questions for clarifications but got no reply. I plead someone answers me this time around.
I base abroad as a Master's student and I just started my first semester before I got an Admission to studying MBA in one of the schools in the USA. The Master's I am doing here is not in my best interest and I need to drop and go for the US MBA , where I have more prospects. I am at lost on what defense I should give to the VO when asked why am living my present studies to the one in US. I have a work here also which the company is standing as my Affidavit of support. The Company is expanding to Nigeria where I will take up a Managerial position after my MBA, and that is one of the reasons I am going for the MBA instead of continuing the present studies. Please I need a helpful advice from anyone who can .

If that's the case, then you should be fine with my earlier stated tips.
Just make sure you are able to convince them that you are abreast of the program structure and you have the requisite knowledge and skills to excel in it.

Best luck!

Hello everyone,

Please I need advice, my school will resume August 16,2022 and have been trying to book for an interview since dec, 2021, all date have been book to 2023 and only available space is in Abuja which is August 21.. what can I do

You can keep checking if you will see a closer date. In case you don't see this few weeks to earliest resumption as it is on your i-20, you can request for emergency appointment.

Best of luck

If you have your admission and your i-20, you can proceed to the US Embassy website and follow the instructions on how to schedule an interview appointment. Basically, paying the visa fee, scheduling appointment, SEVIS fee, filling ds160, getting all supporting documents together and preparing for interview.

Best of luck

Hi.
What advice do you need?
I can see you have a strong case already. You have demonstrated your ties back to Nigeria and I think you are good to go.

You just need to back it up well with proof and make your case as convincing as possible through expression.

Good luck!

Hello, please I am about starting the process please what's the name of your school let me look it up if they have my course also I had GPA of 3.1/5.0 here in Nigeria in your opinion do I stand a chance of getting funding or I need to write GRE? I would really appreciate the response thanks a lot please is there a way I can communicate with you directly?

Why not try to do a search and come up with your schools of choice based on your criteria. One advice though, pursue schools with terminal masters in economics if you desire funding since doctoral students take precedent over masters in funding.
