Oga, in our culture here in Western Naija, the way you wear your Fila can tell people if you are single or married. Leg chain was an identifying mark for prostitutes. (when prostitution was still a shameful thing) once you were it any man that needs a prostitute look out for anklets.

Even being a music star did not confer to dress uselessly like a lunatics, majority of the so called rising or star are on substance abuse. For the lady in chain on legs it is an advertisement or belonging to a social order or cult. It serve her right

Leg chain is a turn off..I have this medical doctor that comes around to patronize , I changed my rating when I saw her with leg chain...For somebody whose kids are in secondary school.

The comments I read on this topic is amusing. While one might say the lady should have thought about the environment however, she is been true to herself and I can't blame either her or the interviewer on the other hand. The part I don't understand is that of the many judges here passing judgment and condemning people and their dressing. If you are not married and engage in sexual activities then you have no right to pass judgment on those who choose to have multiple piercing, tattoos, dreads and whatever. Our hypocrisy na top notch.

Living in the society that Nigeria is , one must do everything that he or she can do to prevent the interviewer not hiring you. Leg brace or nose ring , tattoo might not be an issue if you are interviewing in England- You can even color your hair blonde but In Nigeria- stuff like that might not fly. Nigeria is still traditional in some extend. I will end by saying when you are Rome do as romans do

If you think the decision to deny her the role is justified, please check into a mental home. I have senior management ladies in my office wearing leg chains.
It doesn’t define their competency in anyway just like the wrist bands men wear do not define theirs.

She went for an interview....ostensibly in a corporate set-up and she wore a leg chain. There are some organisations that wouldn't bother about it,some other companies will not even allow you access to the panel. Why not steer the middle course....go without the leg chain, nose studs or multiple earrings and then after joining the organisation you can gently show them your true colours.

By the way,those of you approving of this dress code....I hope you will be happy the day you are attended to at public offices with bikini clad officials....after-all the hood doesn't make the monk.
