GLOBAL SPECTRUM ENERGY
Voluntary delisting in progress...
https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/35377_GLOBAL_SPECTRUM_ENERGY_SERVICES_PLC%20NOTIFICATION_ON_TH.pdf

Thiss company is the true definition of ponzi on NSE.
You launch IPO, gather money, price reduction from the word go, then after 3 years, you want to voluntarily delist.

With investors sitting at a huge loss grin

I did some calculation looking at their half year result with EPS of 0.65k. if they replicate same in the remaining 2 quarters, final eps will be above 1naira.

Their dividend payout ratio is also very good at least going by the last one. Anyone who gets it at sub 5-6 might enjoy good dividend yield in the next 2yrs. Just my layman analysis Sha. Q3 result is also expected anytime soon

Q3 result don land, EPS don pass #1 (1.42). One can definitely expect at least #2 EPS by Q4.
Some people probably had an idea of this result hence why they kept loading it up.

Thanks to OGG for the calls too. Your occasional review of the financial print made me look at it more in-depth.

Probably improved performance or a return to profitability. I also noticed the steady climb since early February

The truth is when companies with good dividend policies recover from a loss position and return to profitability, market sentiment tends to always favour them. Hence, when companies like Guinness, UACN, Nigerian Breweries, GSK, PZ, Total, etc recover from producing poor results, it's an opportunity for investors to take position.

Oga Mpeace I know say you be lawyer..... grin .....but before employing legal means, try and do small findings, this issue might not even be so hard like that, may be negligence on the part of someone....

Get your broker, CSCS and APR on their toes, involve SEC and let them sort it out for you thru email/phone calls....or if closer, physical visits.

Legal should come as a last option........but na my own I dey talk sha, una language dey different...... but with that, you still needed facts. Hope I'm not blocking someone case here.... grin

Just to add to what u said. Any infringement in the capital market to be address must follow the following orders:

1. You may get a lawyer or the investor himself to write to the securities house who committed the infringement

2. If it cannot be resolved, then write NGX to table your complains. The letter should be addressed to Surveillance and Monitoring Dept of BDR. The letter may be written by the investor or his lawyer.

3. NGX will forward your complain to the Securities house and ask them to restitute you within a stipulated date

4. If the house cannot restitute you within a stipulated date given to them, another letter would be written to them for the second chance for the investor to be restituted by the Securities house.

5. After the second attempt, and the house cannot restitute the investor, the house trading will be suspended

6. Depending on the value of the infringement, if the value is more than 5million, EFCC would be drafted in to take over the case

7. The house would be invited for all parties meeting with the investors by the NGX

8. If the house license has been withdrawn and the house is declared death, the investor will be compensated to the tune of N400,000 by NGX from the IPF (investor Protection Fund).

9. If the investor decides to collect the money, an agreement and application form will be filled and sign by the investor exonerating NGX from any legal tussle going forward.

10. However, if the investor decides not to collect the money, the case will be referred to SEC using APC to take over the case. Meanwhile EFCC will still be on the onslaught against the securities house or the person that committed the crime

11. If the house is inactive but not dead, on the part of the NGX, the case would be referred to the DRP to look at a way forward

12. If DPR cannot find solution, and it is obvious that securities house committed the offense, the trading license could be withdrawn by panel constituted by the NGX

13. If the case cannot be resolved by APC of SEC, which takes the form of High court, then the case is referred to DPR is SEC

14. DPR is similar to appeal court, if the case cannot be resolved, it then means that it will be transfer to IST which is the final arbiter in r try he capital market case

15. EFCC will handle the criminal case of the matter while IST will resolve the civic aspect of the matter

Lol, this long process?
The way I usually handle such issues is to first call or write, and where no positive result comes out of it I write SEC, and if no result I take it to Investment and Securities Tribunal or the law court.
Most times, after service of court processes, you see the registrar calling and pleading to resolve the issues. Some people at this point will begin to ask for compensation.

PAT and eps appears to be awesone 23.8billion and 34kobo respectively, but dividend(2kobo) is clearly unreasonable.
My gamble stock clearly shows itself as a useless stock. I go sell on monday.
Lol @ 'useless' grin
At least there's 100% dividend payout nah......from 0.01k to 0.02k........ grin
Anyway, I think TRANSCORP is for the long termers......the Company seems to be embarking on internal restructuring with focus more on expansion for now ........
Dem go get there one day and make investors smile.......... hopefully..... smiley

The Nigerian leaders always know the right thing to do in other to move the country forward, but they will never do it because they will lose the gains of the rot they are presently enjoying.

Tell me why a bank will have to submit its result to CBN for vetting and approval, before its release to the public?

Also, why must company results be submitted to SEC for publishing on its disclosures website?

If you think the banks are flouting rules in their financial reporting, why not set up hefty fines and sanctions, and punish them when they are found guilty of manipulating results?

The reason is simple!

CBN wants their cut from the largesse. SEC also wants their cut too

Now, a bank sends in results. CBN staff "vets" it and sees the result before everyone, and then if the result is fantastic what happens? The staff gets some for their self, informs friendly colleagues in other departments to do same, notifies their family members to do same, church or mosque members, et al.

And when they get their fill, they forward same result to SEC to repeat the same process, before the result is published on the disclosures website.
Effect: Huge short-term trades before and after the release of results that profits individuals who never invested in the company whereas there are people who invested their money in the companies for long term and whose value is being depreciated.

How it should be:
First, companies should have a direct access to the NGX disclosures website and should upload disclosures directly from their investor relations or corporate office. No other eye should see disclosures before the public apart from the directors of the company, who also should be monitored for insider trades from time to time.

Finally, banks should upload their disclosures and results directly to the NGX disclosures site after audit or release. CBN should investigate and vet the results after release for discrepancies. If any discrepancy is found, then the bank should be fined heavily and the directors sanctioned appropriately.

BUT... will this be implemented? Oga at the top no go gree because money go commot from him table grin

Bad condition!!!
