If we ever want to dominate other teams, we need to ship De Gea to a team that plays low-block football and get a ball-playing goalkeeper.

Uncomfortable facts we have to face if we want to become a dominant team once again.

- We need to address the DDG problem.

- Maguire is a bust flush and needs to be phased out. He doesn't understand positional defending.

- AWB needs to be phased out. He's the weak point whenever we need to play out from the back.

- Only one of Fred or McTominay should start at the same time. McTominay may also not be good enough for United.

- Bruno is also a problem. I love the guy (no homo) but if he can't/won't modify his game to help us gain dominance, we may have to look elsewhere.

- Ronaldo should not be a starter in an ideal world. He's still useful when rested but that's about it.

- Pogba is a mirage. He will not produce better than he has. Ship him off (he'll ship himself off if we don't sha)

- Rashford. I no need to talk anything. You already know.

I don't care about the GOAT. I care about United. Even the GOAT has been a culprit in our recent misfortunes if we're keeping it a hundred and I have adored CR7 ever since I was a schoolboy.

I've listed what I think about our current squad and I have to apply the same harsh critique to my favs like Ronaldo and Bruno as I apply to players I don't particularly like.

Very uncalled for. This is about De Gea not Ronaldo or Messi. You are doing the same thing you accuse Ronaldo fans of.

Expert who is a Messianic cultist like you is probably the biggest De Gea critic on this thread. His weaknesses (aerial ability, sweeping, command of the box, passing the ball) are well documented.

DDG is still a good shot stopper but he would not be suited to a ten Hag team. A bit like the way Pep blocked out Hart immediately he settled at Man City. No amount of shot stopping was going to save Hart. If the next manager is Poch however DDG can still function in that team.

I'd retain Telles/Shaw and Dalot as back up left and right back respectively but not as first choice materials. The modern game calls for adventurous fullback who are capable of attacking and defending in almost equal measure. We need upgrade in that department...

Shaw has good technique/physical ability with poor football brain.

Telles is pretty average with no physical advantage at all.

AWB has poor technique, stamina and football brain.

Dalot is just there. Pretty average to be honest and positionally suspect.

They say United’s squad is on par with if not better than City’s.

We just need the right coach to come in and “improve them”. Now that same person is saying we need a new CF, RW, CW and BMW.
