You don’t have to work, it’s just a way to fill your time and have income to take care of yourself.

Hi Ketima,

Pls can you help with a response ...

My course has a coop and I know I must work at the end of my program but pls is it compulsory one must work while schooling apart from the Coop..
Apart from the making money reason, Is there any other reason?
Especially in relation to getting PR which is everyone's end goal..
*Paying my fees and catering to myself isnt a problem*
Asking because I am going with kids and I am looking at the stress level..
Must one work while schooling?

Hello,

Kindly note that the 20hrs weekly part-time work isn't compulsory. As a matter of fact, if you're a big man/lady (mean financially), you don't need a job or money. Just focus on your studies and make your good grades.

The 20 hrs timeline is so that students won't face only work and money and assign less time to studies which is the primary reason for coming. So the answer is NO. Working is not mandatory unless a coop-linked program.

For other reasons as to why do students work? NON. As part-time work experience isn't considered work experience when applying for EE or CEC, money is the sole reason.

So if you can take care of yourself and your kid(s), then you're free not to work. No one will penalize you. But if it is a coop, please that one is compulsory as it is part of your program.

All the best

Who has a sample cv and SOP I can use to apply for admission. Please
If it's a thesis-based Masters Admission you are looking to apply to, you are expected to draft an ACADEMIC CV, that being said,
Dr. Olumuyiwaayo's Igbalajobi's Academic Template is highly recommended

See it attached in the link below

Await a response from someone who has an SOP for admission template

Hello everyone, I am new here so pls bear with me.
I have a few questions to ask
1, I intend on applying to Seneca college and the course I would like to study which is international business marketing is for 8 months. Would I be denied visa since the course is just for 8 months?
2, is there any group on telegram on WhatsApp for Nigerian schooling in Seneca or applying to Seneca?
3, will IELTS be needed for Seneca college.
Pls I need all the help I can get, thank you.

But the required money is tuition for a year plus 10k CAD

ShowYoung:

Your friend can't go for Master degree because of her result.

Meanwhile, she can enroll for Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma which we all know as Post Graduate Diploma in Nigeria.

There are 1 year Grad Cert and 2 years Grad Cert.

If you graduate from 1 year Grad Cert, you'll be eligible for 1 year Post Graduation Work Permit while 2 year Grad Cert will qualify you for 2 or 3 year Post Graduation Work Permit.

If you choose either one, you can become a Permanent Resident after graduation.

If you have the time and funds to enroll for 2 year course, it is advantageous because it will get you 2-3 year PGWP. These years will get you enough time to file for your Permanent Residence without panic.

If you are constrained financially, you can go for a year, sometimes 8 month-, course which will get you a year PGWP. This option may be risky if you don't have a well detailed strategy, but I can tell you to not fret as there are strategies that can get you Permanent Residence after graduation. I wrote a post yesterday or two days ago on unfailing strategy on how to get Permanent Residence with a year course without panic of PGWP expiring.
