The article is written in the paradigm of the political status quo. The reason why Osibanjo has some support is that many Nigerians, particularly the educated, intellectual ones, feel that with him as president we may finally begin to shift away from the political status quo that continually feeds fat from this nation while the citizens suffer.

All the talk of loyalty and what not is rubbish. Simply the mindset of the typical nepotistic, bigoted Nigerian who will say Sir, Sir just for the opportunity of a morsel of bread. Why is a man of 65 not expected to have his own ambition? Must he remain stupidly loyal to a man just 5 years his senior.

This inability to challenge our bosses is part of why we are so useless as a nation. No one in the civil service has any balls to point out something wrong. Once Minister says go in this direction, everybody complies like Sheep.

Osibanjo is no Saint and no doubt he is stained by the incompetence of Buhari. But as far as I'm concerned, these constant and lengthy attacks on him clearly show the the political status quo is very worried. And that in itself is a good thing.

On God's mandate offcourse. If not for aregbesola and amosun and maybe buhari will osibanjo have been vp?

Tinubu wanted Muslim/Muslim tickets. And accepted osibanjo cos he had no choice.

who God has blessed no man can curse.

Good write-up! We all understand where you stand. We wouldn't need any pen to re-direct our steps. We know better and our decision would be made known at the poll in 2023. Let's wait and see. Nigerians are wiser

He's standing on the mandate of Buhari.... his boss
Then he cannot DISCOTIATE from the records of his boss!
The problem that seriously underscores the VP political naivety is that he and his supporters thinks they can ASSOCIATE and DISOCIATE at the same time.
Buhari's failure is osibanjo's failure.
SIMPLE!!

I agree with you. That Prof's declaration already scattered akara inside palm oil for the status quo. The panic is unreal.

But the party primaries comes before the polls. Unless you participate in the primaries and WIN , YOU CANNOT EVEN PARTICIPATE IN THE 2023 POLLS.
it is simple COMMON SENSE.

Not really. The attacks is more of anger that he is being used as a SPOILER.
The VP knows nothing about politics.
He has not bothered to tutor himself on politics even after becoming VP in the last seven years so he naively does not know HE IS BEING DECEIVED.
The VP WILL NOT BE ANOINTED by Buhari and can never win the party primaries.
He will be used and dumped after the purpose has being SERVED.
The status quo knows the VP is a TECHNOCRAT!!
He has not even taken politics 101,talkless passing it.

But Buhari attempted three times and failed.
Even General Buhari will admit that tinubu played a most PIVOTAL ROLE IN HIS EMERGENCE.
Honestly I find all this attempt at REVISIONISM LAUGHABLE AND DISHONEST.
Simple truth: after God, without tinubu, the emergence of Buhari and Osinbajo would not have HAPPENED.
We all have a lesson to learn from this , no matter the obstacle, so long as calculate and fight for your dreams you'd get it. Coz it will be undeniable. Southwest is proud of Tinubu. Man learnt from the errors of his predecessors. Except Osinbajo is working a Tinubu plan he'd aways be a betrayal in the eyes of student of government. Most of this point by the author has been what I've always stated in my previous post on this coming election. Kudos to the author .

See this pro-Tinubu man trying to form neutral argument....we see through the facade....a lot of people don't want Tinubu because he's greedy and nepotistic....but u chose to leave that out, running with the other reasons that will suit your argument. People have a right to decide who they want....stop playing the tribalism card, a lot yorubas prefer obi to both osinbajo and the tinubu

The person that posted this is either dumb or evil.

Why is it difficult to be loyal to ones benefactor especially when there's an agreement? You can't discount what people are saying about Osinbajo betraying a trust placed in him, or are people now this heartless? If Bode George or any other person that isn't a Tinubu's investment is running, no one will be saying anything about betrayal

Oga starting from where you started ur epistle, you said talk about removing sentiment and bias, but immediately you started be biased and sentiment follow from thr until ur last full stop.

Meanwhile, most important aspect that maybe you dnt aware to mention is that God installs king" by his mercy and grace, if it's divine for Osinbanjo to be president, thousand of govs, even sitting president can't stop him, the same thing goes to Tinubu.

Loyalty kor Slavishness ni

Those who despise Tinubu blame him for three key reasons: the first is Tinubu's role in bringing Buhari to power, the second is Tinubu's age, and the third is Tinubu's "King Making status."
Unfortunately, the chief reason is Tinubu's Greed and corrupt tendency.

the most detribalized politician, love by Yoruba, cherish by Northerners, envy in East, not for hate but for jealous, they wish they could have him, they're just managing a motivational speaker who left billions in acct without touching it to effect human development in his state

I pity those still campaigning for Tinubu the Lagos state chief thug, the bullion van master, an election rigger and converter of lagos properties to personal. What is painning Ojunyobo about Osinbajo? Buhari has every right to annoint and fully support a candidate Same way he is annointing roborts in Lagos at will. Never worry, people are waiting for his money.
