Lolz

Have you tried loaning to Nigeria? You will make more through debt servicing.

They will still be owing you even after they have paid more than they owe you through servicing of the debt.

You should forget the money the very date it leaves your account.

A distance uncle begged me for loan to settle hospital bills of N850k. I told the Uncle I don't give loan as I wasn't bank, just gave them 400k to help settle the bill. I was the one that even call them to know if they have gotten the alert self after few days, which they confirmed to me. No thank you.. Promised myself never to pick their calls anymore

Let me share my experience.
Last 3 months 3 persons close to me asked for soft loan, one promised to pay back after 2 weeks, another one promised to payback after 3 weeks, the other to pay by April ending. It was not easy but because their reasons looks genuine.
It is now the third weekend of May, none has paid back.
The one who promised April salary said he will pay when he collect salary. I am sure he has collected April salary.
The other who promised two weeks no longer chat or pick my calls.
The last the person said was that can't I dash him/her.

I have actually move on. Just that, they asked for loan and not gift. The painful thing is the one who is not talking to me.
I have lost money and a friend. If you lend money to a friend you either lose your money or friendship or both. In this case both are lost.
Summary: Never lend money you cannot forgo.
Make person dash me 3500 now since loan na no go area urgent matter for my head

cheesy

One of my neighbours came to lend money from me recently. Baba said he'll return it once he comes back from where he's travelling to, I said no shaking and transferred to him.
It's been more than two weeks since the guy came back, and he has been acting as if both of us don't have anything going on. cheesy
I even reminded him on WhatsApp, he snubbed me and I told him to check what I sent to him on WhatsApp only for him to lie that he doesn't have sub to access his WhatsApp.
I just forgot about the money. I know if I keep talking about it, it'll turn into quarrel and I don't have strength for noise.

Just lend out only what you can afford to lose. But he also lost too because he can never ask me to lend him shît next time.

Rule one about loan

Don't borrow friends money,no matter how close y'all are don't borrow them..rather dash them or tell them you don't have .... cause if you borrow to collect the money na wahala and that would break the friendship and you would lose ur money to

That's all. Just dash, if you can.

Most nigerians don't like to pay what they owe.....they will start avoiding you or your calls. Sometimes, they turn it to a fight.
Do you know that, most nigerians don't like to pay for services?
I don't loan money to any nigerian. Instead, I will give that person what I have, and not expecting the person to pay back.....I remember growing up, what my grandmother told me, she said, never loan any money you cannot forget to anyone, It is better you give them or simply say I don't have......and I have adhered to it strongly.

I have loaned a neighbor money that refuses to pay at the time she promised. She will even ask for more loans without paying the one on ground. Later I heard the whole environment speaking such of her that it's her nature. She buys things from shops and vendors and promises them payment later with no payment gotten. I have shielded myself away from her and don't even want to relate, talk, discuss or smile at her anymore

I loaned Goodness Daniel Jimoh, about 300k since February 2020, he begged to borrow this money promising to pay back in a month. I added 3months extra only for him to start saying he was having suicidal thoughts. I didn't know he was indebted everywhere. I was only trying to help considering the stories he told me back then. He paid back a little. Presently, he owes me 218k.

He blocked me everywhere. Since he doesn't know the value of a good name. I will help him out as I virtually emptied my account and loaned him based on trust.

I helped a former colleague of mine who had house rent challenge years ago. When I asked him he told me that he thought I gave him the money for free and will pay me when he makes it in life. How could he have thought so when what I gave him was more than two-thirds my salary then

Always screen the type of advice you take. Do mpt betray trust its a very scarce commodity. Most people will break neck than pay back debt. Only give out as loams what you are willing to forgo. Love your neighbour as yourself not more than yourself. As for trust reserve that to only God Almighty. In this kind of economy it is the wise that borrows and the foolish that lends. No bank or insurance or loan company can survive without favourable government policy. I learnt how to stop lending financial favours the hard way.

That is why Loan apps send discriminating messages.

Don't borrow anyone money. Just give what you have and can afford cheerfully.

If they need huge sums, direct them to MFBs or Commercial Banks

A friend pleaded and asked me to borrow him 20k last year November, said he was going to pay after the month elapses.
Till today i never see money collect. It got to the point where he was even asking me how much he was owing me to warrant me calling him every time.
If you're ready to lose a friend, just borrow him money.
