Its simply a friendly match with no commitment!
It was used to bring the team to fitness but Manutd took it personal by fielding their first 11 grin grin
Klopp used the match to test 3 different formations with 3 different teams every 30 plus minutes except the GK that was changed twice!
But anyone is free to use this friendly to draw a conclusion on LFC smiley smiley

Don't mind them, as if Man U did not test the waters, I didn't know that the law in Thailand says Man Utd is not allowed to test new players, only Liverpool can do that so thats why they got demolished.

Liverpool could have been beaten by any club they played against yesterday because its a friendly and ten Haag even warned his players not to even overrate themselves or allow the scoreline flatter them esp considering their opponents used 11 different players for a 30 min interval!

More excuses, so because we used 11 different players in 30 minutes we should be leaking goals left right and centre.
See, losing is one thing but losing 4-0 is another thing my brother. It's a cause for concern that we got demolished, it's not nice that you are not seeing that.

Manutd won a 100% of their pre season friendlies last season and yet had their worse performance in the EPL till date!
Chelsea won 80% of the pre season friendlies and yet managed to hang on to third despite their strong performance last season!
Liverpool have so far not had up to 80% wins in their pre season under Klopp and yet they have won everything!
Since you take so much grief about our loss to manutd, let me make a simple inquiry...what is the importance of the friendly?
Is there a relevant trophy to be won?
Will it give manutd a free pass to the UCL?
Will it automatically win them an EPL?
Pre season friendlies serves as a platform to give both clubs a chance to build the fitness of their players for the upcoming EPL season!
Anyone who makes the mistake of taking friendlies seriously is on their own!

I know why teams engage in friendlies but is there a law that says you can't build players fitness without getting whitewashed? Must you lose massively in the name of testing fitness? Testing fitness doesn't involve defending well or scoring goals abi. You just run around with the ball for 90 minutes and every other thing doesn't not matter and it's irrelevant.

What is even your own assessment of fitness testing? I think Man U or Chelsea won 200% of their pre season last season but whitewashing big clubs like us? Yes? Give us the fixtures of Man U and Chelsea's pre season matches last term make we compare notes abeg.
The big question is did Liverpool get thrashed and demolished like this during last season pre season? The fact that we got decimated by our biggest rivals whether pre season or not and you are not concerned means that you are missing the big picture.

Thank God you are not a manager!
Let me give you results of the Liverpool pre season friendlies before the season that they won trophies to show you klopp uses the matches to not only build the fitness of players but know who will finally make the main team and who will either go on loan or stay in the second team....

1.The pre season friendlies before the just concluded EPL that we won domestic cups and narrowly lost the EPL and UCL!
2.The pre season friendlies before the 2019 season where we won our elusive EPL...pay close attention to the friendly we lost to Napoli...i am very sure you would have concluded LFC would end the EPL season in the middle grin grin grin

Correction : One match we got destroyed and rraped by our arch rivals. It's one thing to lose a match and it's another thing to get decapitated by your biggest opponent. Any match between these two clubs can never be regarded as dead rubber even if it's played in pre pre season or inside Russian-Ukranian war. Make Thailand people catch you calling a match they paid dearly for a dead rubber game. Did you know that the ticket for that match was more expensive than that of the champions league final? OK.

You are even driving my point home with those matches you posted cos I was expecting you to show me how Liverpool lost 4 0 in pre season in the last five years against a big time and still won a major trophy. None of those matches were as important as the Man Utd game yet they didn't get cremated. Are you saying that Liverpool should take a match against Tranmare more serious than a Man Utd that the fans paid heavily to watch. Thailand fans paid through their noses to attend the match only to watch their team get incinerated by their biggest rivals. Imagine paying N300k to go watch Liverpool play against Man Utd at the national stadium and they lose emphatically.

None of these matches carry the same weight as the Man Utd Liverpool game. So what point are you making here? Friendlies are not important yet all the teams they beat did not outperform the season in the season in question. Chelsea reached two finals and Champions League semi final and came third in the league. How do you explain that?

Man Utd finished 6th, what was Evertons position again. What is the relevance of beating me home and away if I ended up finishing above you in the league?
The Man Utd Everton game even drives my point further. They lost emphatically in pre season against this same Man Utd and they ended up fighting relegation throughout the season. Another much better Merseyside team has lost against to the same Man Utd side by same scoreline and you no dey see anything.

Good!
Since Manutd had a good pre season of which they won everton 4-0...one would have expected them to win every match in the EPL or UCL or even compete in the domestic trophies...but did they?
You said they finished 6th...thats like trying to cut them some slack....they had a horrendous season...One of the worse seasons ever for manutd and if not for the goals from Ronaldo and pretenders around them, they would have finished 10th or 13th all thanks to gloating over impressive pre season friendlies! grin grin

But LFC got beaten by Napoli 3-0 or did you skip that one?
I am only trying to show you that no matter a teams performance in the pre season friendlies,it counts for nothing...If you like win mancity 10-0 or beat Madrid 7-0....If you think that would imply that you have won the league or can win the UCL,then you are highly mistaken because that same club you walloped in the pre season will be a different team in a competitive game like EPL or UCL...

LFC won a then 3rd division tranmere rovers 6-0 with kids like woodburn and clarke.....shoe get size nah... grin grin
Okay Championship side QPR beat manutd 4-2 in preseason, they did not gain promotion to the EPL but ended 11th position last season...Did the friendlies have any effect?
Every manager knows that any pre season friendly result against any opponent have no significance on a proper competition...Know this and know peace!

Lastly,your last statements are hilarious!
The fans i see now on TV cheering the LFC players as the players get to their hostels dont look like what you described....This is what we call in politics FAKE NEWS unless you are referring to yourself or subtly trying to say you gambled with 300k for LFC to win manutd in a friendly...If i am right about the latter then accept my sincere sympathy grin grin

Pre season friendly is a platform where a 5th division team in Italian league can beat Juventus 4-0 or where Almeria is allowed to beat Barca 4-0
I am suspecting he may have gambled with 300k for an LFC win...thats why he feels pained!

How can you describe Man Utd last pre season as impressive? How is Man Utd beating a team that almost got relegated an impressive result.? It's just like saying that Man City beating Southampton is an impressive result when that is what we would expect to happen.
An impressive result is when you finish 6th and eviscerate your arch rivals who almost won the league.

We are talking about Man Utd v Liverpool and you still dey mention their games against QPR and Napoli. Who cares about the result of dead rubber friendly games. Are QPR and Napoli their arch rivals.

I ve challenged you to show me a pre season were we got demolished by a big EPL in pre season and later went ahead to win the league or challenge for the title.
