bro l am not holding her o,,l only gave her a sound and reasonable advice,, leaving me is not an assurance she will get a man who will pay her bride price in 2- 3 months ,, if she leaves and the man she meets disapoint her the circle continues,, in 3- 4yrs she will be 31 or latest 32 and we will settle down and at least have something to fend for our self and the kids,, the "woman time" is a lie orchestrated by the society and nothing more. women in their 40s and fifties are given birth talk more of a girl in her 20s and 30s,,if she decides to go and gamble l will wish her well,, l am just bothered because l love this girl and she is a very good person,, so l am not holding her back..
You are wrong. As women get older (esp past 30), there is increased risk of giving birth to children with complications (commonly Down's Syndrome). The younger she is the better for her. If you delay her time and you both get married at that time, there is increased risk that your last kids may not genetically fit. How sure are you you will make it in 4 years time? If you don't, will you give her another 4 years? Not all women will remain fertile for long. The ones who started seeing their menses earlier will go into menopause quicker. The number and quality of the eggs decreases with age.

With this knowledge, make an informed decision.

"He that findeth a wife...obtains favour from the Lord" - If you are convinced both of you genuinely love each other, go ahead and plan towards marrying her in a year's time. When you are married, both of you will continue building your lives together while enjoying the favour of God.
To replace quality is not always easy even though "there are many fishes in the ocean", eg Chelsea are still looking for quality striker since Don Conte carelessly threw away Costa

Marry but hold on with child bearing. All this excuse you are making is because you are not too sure of your relationship it's like deep down you have the feeling that there are other good fishes in the sea your only problem is the time it will take you to start hunting again till you find the next one. If not you would have asked her to find her level. If you two were on the same page you will plan how you will run your home and lives based on your economic position. If she is a woman that has the habit of spending above your means and verbally or emotionally abusive towards you then not wanting to marry her until you have enough is understandable but not wise.
You can marry and focus on career for two years. Save enough and maybe start making a family. If you no want marry let her go jejely.
If no money for wedding I understand that one too.

First who told you that until you are financially buoyant that's when to marry? You have business and she has business, this is enough for you both to get a start. She is old enough being a female... Your gender is different from her gender...no time to check time. Additional 4 years to her age is much... Free her if you are not ready for her yet.

My advise: read this book "One minute millionaire." You will learn that you can make it as soon as you want provided you're determined to. 3 - 4 years is too much and suggests to me that you're not even confident in that business of yours.
please give me the link to the book bro

I don't believe this honestly, I know a woman who is still giving birth at 40+

Can you make a legal agreement with her lawyer and yours to marry and not dump her after the said 3-4 years?
Women worry about their age because they do not control their conception.
Some may marry and have to wait for some five or more years before pregnancy happens.
So, are you agreeing to not pressurize her if you wed her at 32 and pregnancy happens when she's 40?
Don't be selfish and self-centred.
One girl that a singer gave assurance has been used and dumped as the assurance is no more sure.
In addition, I hope you are not committing the sin of premarital sex with her already?
If yes, STOP IT. REPENT.
A man who does not respect God's word which forbids fornication, won't respect his own promises to anyone.
Shalom.

Marriage is a poverty alleviation scheme for women. They are coming into your life with liabilities. I bet you, if you can't establish your business before marrying this girl, this same girl will nag and complain that you're lazy. To women any man that doesn't have enough money to spend is lazy in their eyes.

Man don't allow this girl to put rope around your neck. You're a man and you shouldn't fall for that crap. She wants to tie you down. A desperate woman can never be a good wife, take it or leave it.

Bro, this is a candid advice.
Its either you risk it all and marry her now or you let her go.
She's already 27 years old. Another 3 to 4 years mean she will be above 30 before you start making moves towards marriage. Asking her to wait would be a selfish request.

This may be difficult (considering how much you love her) but, Love is not selfish.

First of all, I want to know where you both come from. This is to enable me understand the culture.

Secondly, if you really want to marry her and your mind is made up on marrying her, I'll advice you go see her people. Just take the first step of introduction, and any little thing you can do now.

Then you can pause and continue with your business. That way the marriage is established though not completed. You have now properly engaged her and the pressure from the mum will stop.

Also, I'll advice you go see her mum, that way she knows that her daughter is actually in a good relationship and that her getting married anytime soon is sure.

You sound selfish and only thinks about yourself. She is a woman and you know that in 3 - 4 years time she will be 30 or 31, then now you might prefer 22 years old girl.

See mr, if you arent getting ready within a year of meeting a girl, dont delay someone else daughter.

Leave her to find love, marriage and have her own family, thats the dream of most girls same way men dream of making money.

Focus on your dream which is money, make she go find hers which might be marriage. When you don get money, there will be more beautiful women then, younger.
some of you need to be more reasonable and considerate,, haba! she was single until 26yrs l met her just last year and we officially started dating 5 months after,, why are u guys making it look like l am wasting her time? if marriage is easy why are all the single women not married? l am a man the majority of the responsibility of that marriage will be on my shoulder,, dont l have the right to make proper plan? u people keep shouting let her go,, let her go,, what if the other man she will meet fail to do the right thing,,is that how she will keep jumping from one man to the other?

My fear is that even when an income comes, you may still not have common sense. Imagine reporting your foolishness on a public space. Pathetic, spineless simp.

Your girl is looking for a way to dump you, she's just using marriage as an excuse. Who would want to marry a slowpoke anyway? Imagine this simp wants to keep a girl in poverty for years and be enjoying wifey benefits and when she has saggy breasts, you'll end up dumping her. She get sense pass you.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Pls take heart.

OneMillionBTC:
Face the reality guy, she doesn't have all the time as you do.

How sure are you that Your business will be stable as you want it in 3 years time. What about is the business needs more time for this stability you think you need?

I would advice you ask yourself some questions .

I was in similar situations when I married. Business was a year old and could only keep us afloat as a family. So, we decided on having only two kids, cut down on all extra expenses, and it worked. Beginning of the month, I will give her the money for the family upkeep from the profit made from the previous month. She would always encourage me to keep on because the future is brighter. She was so correct because thesame business 8 years later now makes over 500k as profit monthly with a staffing capital of 2h5 persons..... Just that she isn't here anymore to enjoy them with us as she passed on along the way to Cancer.

So, ask yourself if there is a way you can combine forces and start this process? If you can't see a way, allow her go. If both of you can pull together 100k monthly as family upkeep, it will suffice in most places in Nigeria.

You can cut down also on the marriage process expenses. I did mine in the registry. Collected the list in faith, met my family, showed it to them. They gave me money that covered 90% of the list.

One thing I love about my marriage was that it makes me focus more on my business.

So ask yourself again....can I find a way to marry this woman in say one year time? If yes, join hands together and make it work. Grow your home together.

If No, then tell her to leave you alone to focus and build your business.

Who is holding her? so 27 means she is getting old? l am writing this from a more point of concern than what l stand to benefit,, she had exes before we met, if marriage is that easy why didn't any of them take the step? things can work out even in less than a year and l will do the needful,, telling her she can go is a clear sign l wasn't even in love at the first place,, so if she love me she will wait,, if she want to continue gambling l wish her well,,
There's also probability of you not still being financially stable in 3-4 years. That is not my prayer for you but sometimes life can dish us with whole lots of unpredictable shlt. Telling her to wait is not wise because you can't be sure of tomorrow, you only hope for a better tomorrow. So at this point, every future seems like gamble, it can come out well or it can still be gloomy.

Don't forget that our future success and stable existence are mainly by grace and not by our power.

You have told her your plans, which is great, but the best thing is to let her or tell her that the whole decision to make is hers. Tell her that if she can't wait for things to get better, she can try some other person by taking a walk.

Stop emphasising the 3 to 4 years that you are hoping to be financially free. It can happen immediately and it can also happen beyond the 3 to 4 years. Nothing is certain in life. What if after 3 to 4 years it happens that you are not still financially stable, will you advise her to give you say additional 2 years to know if you can find your finical footing?

The emphasis here is to continue telling her to just follow her mind and not to be assuring her that in 3 to 4 years when you find your financial footing that you will take her to altar.
