Hello Nairalanders.
I have a question on behalf of a friend.
She just got admission and she is planning to put in her application. Over the years of work, She has been able to to save about 12M. Her tuition fees is about 18,000CAD.
My questions are
1, Is the 12 million an enough balance to submit with her application?
2. Her Salary is a little bit over 100K but the tips she gets is the real deal. Does she need to explain how she got the money or her employment details can take care of that?
3. Does she have to make an initial deposit ?

Answers Please!
God bless

Hello Kpiper2473,

I believe she is going to be a self-financed applicant sensing from your post. N12m is enough to show as POF, however, to help her application stay competitive, her full tuition plus the N12m would be appealing to show financial availability, especially if her program is one year. The first-semester tuition can be considered if that is what is available.

If the study is two years, it's not mandatory but necessary for her to have the subsequent year's tuition in her bank account. She can consider her LE as part of the N12m. Her employment information i.e. Employment Letter, Employment Letter of Introduction, Promotion Letter, Salary Increment Letter, Payslips, etc. are sufficient to justify her income sources.

Good day Nairalander
I pray for positive response for those awaiting PPR this week

Please has anyone done any program in theology or relating to theology. Which school is better to apply ? Or do IRCC recognise school of theology as an institution to grant visa to its prospective student
Thanks

Hello Wales55,

You can check Wilfrid Laurier University. There is a study in Theology or Theology & Divinity at the Master's level in its program list.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by bullstriker: 7:34pm On Aug 02, 2022
Hi Bruno10000, oga Makano has already answered you.
Fanshawe admission does not take time. If you apply this month, you will have up to 4 months for study permit processing. So, I would suggest you submit your study permit application for January. If a decision is not made by then, you can update IRCC with the new LOA, just like @oga Makano suggested. I hope this answer helps
bruno10000:
I'm asking this again guy peeps, I'm still seeking admission so here is my question. I'm looking at getting a space in Fashanwe college and there is space for January admission...thing is due to study permit processing I can't make January intake so I'm looking at getting the admission and deferring to the next intake after January so that I can have the time to process my study permit...Gurus in the house is this possible or does it makes sense? @ bullstriker can u ans this pls?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by JustMellow: 7:35pm On Aug 02, 2022
If your Canada SP application has exceeded the estimated processing time or 6 months mark, or above 8 months, it will only be right and helpful to your application if you send updated documents like:

• bank statement(s)/financial record(s);

• letter of acceptance (if applicable);

• tuition payment fees (if applicable), and/or;

• upfront medicals (if applicable).

Success to everybody waiting on a final decision!

Hello everyone,
My wife got an admission for MBA, we have been advised that she apply alone for study visa as applying together as a dependent is usually not successful, but we have a baby of 7 months and it will not be easy traveling alone with the baby. Please has anyone had a similar situation, and how best can we proceed?
Secondly if she should apply alone with the baby , what kind of visa will the baby need and how do we apply for them both at the same time.
If they are successful when can I apply to join them on an open work visa and what are the chances of it been approved especially since we had earlier said I was not coming with them?
Please advise

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by bullstriker: 8:25pm On Aug 02, 2022
You can use multiple sponsors. However, you should have a significant amount of money in your account since you are working.
Because they are not close relatives, you must demonstrate the relationship and why they want to spend a lot of money on you. Proof could be in the form of previous support you received from them, any form of support from your parents or you in the past; photos taken together, their names in any of your civil documents etc. Also, let them pay your tuition fee from their account. A strong SOP is highly needed to explain their incentives to cover the cost of your education.

In addition to what @bullstriker has stated
you can also draw out a family tree showing how you all are related to each other especially noting how they are directly linked to the family.

Having necessary documents like marriage certificates and birth certificates including affidavit of support, letter of employment, letter of sponsorship (Stating how much they'll be setting out to support you despite having dependents and also how you have been of help to them in the past), pay slips, family property documents if any will also go a long way to fix any issue that might arise.

Also ensure you write an exceptional and well detailed SOP as well don't leave any stone unturned.

All the best!

We are all on this journey together still waiting on IRCC. #May19applicant

I am on a journey of faith!

Although it is preferable to apply alone, you can apply together if you have the required funds and strong home ties.

Apply for a visitor visa for the baby. Once you indicate the number of applicants in the portal, the platform will guide you on how to apply for them together. But, of course, you can always ask questions here if you get stuck.

It is preferable to wait until she gets to Canada and starts studying; You will need her study permit and proof of full-time enrolment.
The chances are high if you submit a strong application even if you were declared as a non-accompanying spouse in the study permit application.
