Let suffer it all.

If you're among those who cheered the criminals who burnt BRT busses during senseless endsars Carnage, you have no moral right to complain.

We should suffer it all

Please find a solution to the transport problem of those people.

They are so much at Cele bustop in the evening..the few buses and Keke are calling outrageous amount and no bikes to help.

You use to bring BRT buses to help before..bring it back and end the suffering of these people...please ooooo

It's simple: vote them out, and vote in the government that prioritises your welfare ahead of the size of their individual offshore accounts.

Same thing at Irawo off ikorodu road that one a friend told me is the street bike that they ban and the worst thing is that the roads are very very bad and in worst shape so no keke or small bus and people are trekking far distance cus no keke due to bad roads. What a pity

Aren't there Keke Napep or Korope buses plying those roads?

The Keke and Korope/Danfo buses are not enough, you need to crowd during rushing hours morning and evening everyday, the few available Keke and buses are now charging more than three times what they were charging before the Ban on Okada...

I don't know why Nigerians are so wicked to themselves, must we exploit every bad situation to our advantage in this country

Dont they have elderly people in the abroad?

Elderly people are put in Homes.

In Abroad , they solved the Elderly, the Insane and the consequences of unemployment problems by locking them away.

FYI, the consequences of unemployment being criminality, antisocial behaviour, mental illnesses...

Walking is a good excercise, in America, I see lots of pedestrian traffic, lots of people walking to train stations, walking to their block etc. Okada kills a lot, through accidents, okada armed robbers and thieves and terrorists posing as okada riders. This Op is a selfish idiot. Nairaland start removing topics that go against the laws. Lagos state house of assembly have signed the anti okada bill into law. Walking increase your life span.

So Nigeria is a failed country because the Lagos State Government ban Okada and didn't provide an alternative?

I'm not against the ban but am against the Government not providing alternatives. I hope they are listening and working on alternatives.

The ban on Okada should not be reverse, as time goes on everybody will adjust. But anyone that truly love Okada can move to other part of Nigeria where Okada is still allowed.

The same happened in 2013 when Raji Fashola banned okadas. Commuters were trecking. It was a nightmare.

However, the higher the price, the higher the quantity supplied. Soon, the number of commercial vehicles increased and the shortfall met.

This will happen again. It will take awhile.

Don't say I told you but I overhead okadas will start sneaking back in future. Don't say I told you
The sneaking back will not happen. You are forgetting that Governor Sanwo-olu has another term of 4 years to go. What will happen is that the foreign Okada men will go back to wherever they came from or relocate to neighboring states and the Nigerians amongst them will find something else to do!

I use Okada and I support their ban, the long term benefit of the ban will be enjoyed by Lagosian as a whole, one of which is reduction in crime and influx of Northerners to Lagos.

Walk walk walk
In our glorified saner climes people walk 10-15mins to get to their bustop.
When they go to downtown/city center they walk unendlessly.
In megacities people walk alot.
You will be suprised that where it cost to take 100-200 bikes is conveniently trekable, we are just used to door to door transportation.

One day i walked from ltv8 agidingbi to omole estate without breaking sweat, i was so shocked as i had never thought it was that close

Well, there isn’t much town planning here; the roadside don’t have tree shades for the people considering the day time heat here. The pedestrian walk ways have been take over by POS shacks.

When you say that the bike should come back what you are saying is that the Northern bike soldiers should return and set more southerners ablaze.

So let me ask you.

If the guy that was burnt alive in Lekki by those barbarians was your kid brother...

Would you say that bikes should come back??

Faiththatworks:
I usually go to lagos mainland occasionally and I must say last weekend was very Horrible.
U dare not go to that part of Lagos without your car.
The number of people on the road waiting for buses on Saturday was frightening,I haven't trekked in a very long time but i had to trek from isolo to jakande gate after waiting for more than 90 mins without a car or bike in sight.
I met people trekking all the way from Cele express to Jakande gate.
Although I'm a fierce advocate of banning Okoda In Lagos State, but the number of okodas that were removed from the road have caused a gap that can't be filled by the tricycles, mini buses and the other buses.
Government should please either allow the motorcycle get back on the road or deploy more buses to fill this gap.
The people around there are really suffering.
God bless Nigeria.
