This is tricky - which part of your Date of birth has the error? Is it the day, month or year?

If DAY / MONTH, you can get a sworn affidavit to explain the errors. If its the year and you don't have a Government birth certificate that was issued at birth by NPC then this becomes a little more complex.

You don't need a lawyer to appeal an Irish refusal-

Address all points raised comprehensively with detailed and genuine supporting documents and ADD LOTS OF PRAYERS

Good day guys. Please, I am to travel to Ireland, Dublin by January for studies, accommodation is the challenge now.

Can the ones I'm seeing are expensive, the ones that are fair are demanding a full payment right away before I even travel.
What should I do? Also, is there a way to get a space for myself, then pay when I see it in person by January?

Please help me out with tips and advice, I anticipate and appreciate them.

Typically, it's reflecting and judiciously attending to each and every single reasons given.
The following might guide. Others with hands-on experience will assist. All the best.
You may want to explore edubond for finance related issues. Nonetheless, address what was raise, in the way it was raised.

As a phd applicant you sholud have a higher chance of visa approval..
You need to address the basis of rejection one after the other.
1.Insufficient fund..read the detailed requirement for finance. The 7000 Euros requirement either in bond or ur in account and well explained....
2. Ur uk immigration evidence shd be evident in your passport.. though I dont really get that.
3. Pls write an application letter stating your reason for applying for phd, choosing the school and why Ireland.
and another letter of undertaking stating the 3 undertaking statements....hope this helps otherwise you contact for more

Hi guys. Hope say una dey okay. Anyway, so I have lived in Ireland for decades. Recently married a very fine young woman. We applied in August 2021 and denied after 7 months. See shock!! Then Fear!! Exasperation then Realization that we may not have submitted enough documents. We recently put in an Appeal. They listed what they wanted in the rejection letter: Evidence of ongoing communication prior to and after marriage; visits to applicant in home country; Remittances to spouse; risk to public funds etc... We provided documents as best we can but honestly not banking on it. ... ...
NuNu08:
Gdmornin, please i need help about an ireland spouse appeal. Couldnt find the thread for ireland. I submitted an application but it was refused that i didnt prove my family relationship with my EU spouse. Though i included my marriage certificate but they said it wasnt certified and ascertained by relevant authorities.

For those that their visa were denied, am truly sorry about that but the truth is that I was once in that terrible mood when I was denied. I felt the world has collapsed on me but little did I know that it was the will of GOD.
What do I mean? My first application was 101% ok. I submitted everything even added extra documents to prove my transparency. My financial aspect was clearly stated. I had enough money left after i have paid my school fees, I presented my letter of employment, my pay slips, letter of recommendation from our HR..... Infact my statement of account I printed corresponded with my pay slips and inflow/outflow of money was 101% consistence. All the reasons for their denial were funny because they were part of the evidence I presented. Eg My financial status, date of birth (Note: I have never used another date of birth since my childhood, my WAEC result has my original date of birth crested on it, my birth certificate from NCC, my baptizmal card looking old you will clearly know that it was not forged in all they said I gave a fake date of birth... hahahaha. The ONLY thing I did not do was EDUBOND. So when I was apealing I used EDUBOND, immigration lawyer in Nigeria and presented all documents I submitted earlier according to the way it was stated in IRISH website.
Finally a decision was made and my visa was APPROVED.
... ...

Read the threads here for edubond. NB: ICaSNG indicated edubond is not compulsory. Yes, it's not. However, if it'll assist, give a thought/attempt. Unfortunately, edubond isn't coming cheap these days.
semmyk:
I'll attempt to
Edubond is not a guarantee but is a better bet than the challenging invasive statement of account. Kindly note, it's been said, still show statement of like 3 mths with some appreciable balance.
Edubond: https://educationbondireland.com/
FAQ: educationbondireland.com/en/edu-faq.aspx
You may use Form A (CBN overseas education payments through banks), however a sizeable numbers of banks don't. You may end up funding a Dom account.
You'll need university details.
Irish visa application detail. I posted one 2 or 4 pages back I think.

I didn't use edubond though
These are the list of documents I used below
VFS Appointment Letter..
International Passport..
Bank Statement..
Birth Certificate..
Consent Letter/ Letter of Sponsorship..
Personal Statement(Right as much convincing letter lol just take your time to write this)..
Application letter(Was very basic and straight to the point)...
All Previous Academic Documents (Transcript, WAEC, Duolingo, FSLC)..
Detailed CV (please be reminded that if you do not have any evidence to back your work experiences, they should not be included in your CV)..
Declaration of Assets..
Annual Returns..
Company Registration Document..
Parent's Marriage Certificate..
Tuition Payment Receipt..
Offer Letter..
Sponsor's Id with his or her signature on it(International passport, driver's license, national Id card NIN)..
Letter of Acceptance ..
Medical report/ Health Insurance ..
Receipt on every lump sum in your bank statement.( At least get 3-5 current transaction receipts)
Family Photo..
Questionaire(You will get these from the VFS office that day)..
Photo (when you reach VFS you need to take a new photo inside the vfs cause outsiders charge a lot for everything)

These are the documents I submitted to the vfs and none is missing... My sponsor is a business man so use this especially if your sponsor is a business man/woman and my it's a study visa so follow carefully.
Sorry I sent this later, was kinda busy.
Thanks to you guys, I appreciate all the help I've gotten from this platform.

Thanks Godkiaz. Apparently, most bank don't process edubond through Form-A, which is unfortunate. Well, nothing much one can do. Technically though, edubond ought to fall under university (living) expenses!
Nonetheless, searching through this thread, some have successfully funded their edubond through Form-A while others had to use Dom account. What is even intriguingly is that branches of the same bank process differently: some do, some don't!!

Please is there anyone relocating to Ireland soon?
I am relocating to Ireland at the end of the month and considering settling in cork.
I've been trying to secure accommodation but it has been impossible as it's scarce and expensive.
I've noticed that there are more two-bedroom offers outside of cork city central, if anyone is interested in sharing a flat in cork kindly signify.

The refusal letter is not making reference to the amount you have but making reference to areas you did not address in details :

1. Where you paid your tuition from i.e Bank account and how you came about the funds
2. Proof of all employment or Gap periods from after SSCE till date

Like I've always emphasized, Education bond does not necessarily make a difference if your application is not convincing enough.

Hello Everyone,

Please I need your advice.

My VISA was refused due to insufficient funds amigst others. I paid the school fees in full, also paid for bond but I had roughly #1M as at when I applied. Upon refusal, I sold my car and everything sum up to over #2. 5 when I appealed. I added more documents too but I was still denied base on same reason.

I'm currently processing another school for February intake but I do not know what to do differently in terms of visa application.

I have attached both refusal letters.

Please help.

4. Opportunities for IT , Engineering and Health scs Students /Graduates.

Plss I need an answer to this question
I was given a 5yrs babe for irish application because of a fake document an agent made for me
I wanted to apply for UK student visa now
Someone hint me that both UK and Irish work together
That I won’t be approved for a visa because of the Irish ban
How true is that ?

True both countries share Data. You can apply to the UK but will need to ensure the following:

If you intend going for a 1 year PG program- pay full tuition and ensure you have a verifiable proof of employment that establishes that you can afford to study in the UK , a verifiable and genuine bank statement in your name or your parents with the required amount needed as POF, proof that you will not breach the travel agreement between the UK and Republic o Ireland
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by semmyk(m): 10:13am On Oct 16, 2022
The 'answer' is in your appeal refusal (read with your visa refusal).
Using edubond does not absolves you providing good intent to study and explain flow of funds for 6 mths (bank statements). What edubond does is to limit/curtailed the degree of intruding into your (financial) privacy (and that of your sponsor) or make it easier for you not to require a sponsor.
Kindly bear in mind that the VO (whether Ireland, UK, US, Canada or any other) are fully aware of PoF as a business in 9ja!
The key thing one can see/read from these two letters is that you did not do the needful to succinctly explain your incomes for the six months period. Also, it is apparent that you seemly make large sum deposit close to your visa application. This you did not explain until when you were appealing. Even at that, by that time, you merely glossed over things. The VO took cognisance of this and came to your 'rescue' in a way: ... various side hustles...
Since you intend applying again in Feb,
- Make steady inflow in and out of your intended account.
- Still use edubond (I guess you can leave the current one till then which will show your 'capability' to fund)
- write your statement of interest in simple way of; why you want to study, why the course, what you will do with the course when you get back to 9ja, how the course will assist your career (or business,) going forward.
- include (disclose) and explain how your circumstances has 'improve' from this refusal.
NB: you didn't tell us what this course is. However, if for instance it's Masters, you don't start staying you will stay back in Ireland to look around for doctorate. I say this because the VO keeps repeating ... type of visa is for limited duration .... So I guess your statement might not be clear on ... what's next after your current study that you're applying visa for. PS: ICaSNG might assist with guidance on this: like if going for Masters, to indicate if you'll be looking for doctorate post the masters in Ireland. My gut feeling is, it's red flag.

There are other things one can pick, but the above might be the 'deal breaker'
As regarding the I added more documents too, it appears the VO considered them in good faith and did not raise issues with most of them again.
To us all, I'll say, always provide essential documentations requested/needed. Do not focus on one area only, neglecting the others. Most times, focus is on balance of funds!!! Rather, focus should be on ALL on the checklist.

Hello trust you are doing great please I would appreciate if you can shed more light concerning my following questions as I am still a novice concerning the Ireland study routine

1) Is it possible to use a third party as sponsor .. after all fees have been paid I.e uncle , family friend etc different names

2) just asking to know if it’s the same procedure like canada
If an applicant plans to go for sept 2023 intake is it possible to put in an earlier application so the visa comes out early or it has to be 3 months before program start I.e for a September2023 admission the applicant apply for visa like Jan / feb or March 2023
Or it has be around June 2023?
