Lilibeth914:
Hi Nairalanders, I have a question. I am on a student visa (PhD) which ends in 2027 (CAS date). However, my BRP states that my resident permit is valid until December 2024. I heard it is because of the UK Gov intending move to switch to digital BRP (not certain though). My problem now is my dependent. He will soon apply for visa and on the IHS page, there is a question "What is their visa expiration date?" Should he use the date on my BRP (2024) or the CAS date (2027). Your advises/experiences is highly appreciated.
Please I need guidance on PhD programme application. I have sent you pm.

This was what I found online. It seems there is nothing wrong with the BRP date they gave me. My question is: Should my spouse use this date when applying and paying for IHS or use the CAS date (2027) that I used during my application?
Gloriyah:

Have you tried contacting UKVI on correcting what’s stated on your BRP??

I have over 4 years experience working in the family business.
The company is a major contracting firm to a multinational.

My salary from beginning has been paid in cash but I do have payslips.
Can I justify my employment using employment letter and payslips only?

I have a 7years study gap from my last Masters degree in UK and have the intention of going for MBA or a PhD programme in the UK by March/April.

Hey Mumi, do you mind if we connect with each other?

I am also a Teesside uni student, i already got my CAS as at October 4th and at the visa processing stage.

Did my entire processing from vfs Dubai. it was faster here i guess.

Mumibaby:
CAS dropped for me today. Teesside Jan applicant.

You should use the end date of your course, that was what I used. As for your brp, that's normal.

Congratulations... Please did you do the Qualification check?

It takes an average of 3-5 working days after bank confirmation and you complete the qualification check.

You also an MSc. Teesside uni students? Let's connect bro.

olaoye15:

Oh. That's great. I am also a Teesside hopeful. When did you upload your POF documents. And how long did it take for CAS to drop.

Thanks.

Yes, payslip and employment letter is more than enough.

Your study gap isn’t a problem, especially as you have a masters and have been in employment since then. Your statement of purpose will fill in those gaps nicely.

You can even pay through your naira card on their website.

Please, let us be guided you cannot pay with your naira card on Western Union Globalpay website. It happened to me after converting USD to naira I couldn’t pay due to restrictions on our naira card.

The Aboki (customer) that bought USD from at the rate of #730 sold same quantity to me at the rate of #741 just 24 hours interval. I parted with extra #49,500 because I have less than two weeks to make payment.

If you have time kindly do Form A.
All the best!

From the image, there isn’t a problem with the date on your brp.

For your dependent, I think he should use your CAS date. All of my dependents and everyone I know used their various CAS date.

Thank you @dduchess90 and everyone that provides useful information here.

I got my Temporary Worker sponsored researcher (Tier 5) CoS, and maintenance ticked (dependants included). Here are my questions:
1. While applying for visa, do I need to provide a bank statement showing my complete scholarship stipends (not necessarily holding for 28days)?
2. Will I need to show my bank statement at the UK point of entry showing the complete scholarship stipends?

I'm asking because I may use some of the stipends to process my dependants' visa and other miscellaneous spending. Thank you in anticipation for your response.

This issue of study gap with UKVI, is it a must that the employment letter would include your pay grade and you equally have to provide payslips?

My study gap is 7years. My salary isn't much so what can one do in that regard?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 8 by dduchess90(f): 8:05pm On Oct 19, 2022
Hello

Yes they are stopping hard copy BRP and moving everything online

Your dependants end date should be the end date on your CAS 2027.

There's nothing to correct this is not an error

Cheers

Hello

If you are exempt from providing evidence of maintenance(that is your employer has indicated they will cover your cost for the first month in the UK up to £1270) then you don't need to include your bank statement

2. I guess answer to No 1 as above deals with the rest of your concerns

Cheers

Hello

Is the 1hr stop at Geneva a technical one?

If yes then you don't need a transit visa for both

Cheers

Hello

I have just looked at the train option, you will have over 3stops if you use the train and I don't know how convenient that will be for you considering it is your first time in the UK plus luggages

My advise, National express starts running at 8am or perhaps earlier, can you wait it out till then

Cheers
