I am speechless here.

You are very lucky she speaks out to you.

I am of the opinion that you start working on your daughter - physically, mentally and morally to always talk to you and speak out.

Don't be demoralised again, whenever she comes up with such topic again. Use your spiritual language to talk sense to her that such act is evil.

Always examine her whenever she returned from any outing where you are not with her.

MsJackson:
Good morning house. I need your opinion on this issue.

Around May last year, my husband and I went with my 4 year old daughter to visit my sister in-law (hubby's elder sister). They insisted they wanted her to stay some days with them, that I should return for her in two or three days time.

After much persuasion from my oga, I left her. But my heart wasn't settled because I've never stayed away from her for that long.
I just noticed that when we called her on video call the very next morning, she looked and sounded depressed, telling us to come take her home. I just thought she was missing me.

I returned the next three days to pick her up. It was even the oldest cousin, a 15 year old girl, who was actually very fond of my daughter that helped me carry her on her back and saw us off to the bustop.

Two or 3 months later, at the end of a Bible study I had with her, my baby said she wanted to tell me something. Hubby was lying on the couch. My baby said the period I took her to that house, the 15 year old girl was always sucking her vagina. My brain shut down immediately. Her dad jumped from the couch and told her to repeat what she just said. She did. She also said that the girl usually holds her mouth close during the act, and that she beats the girl on the head to stop what she was doing, but the girl refused and beat my daughter back.

I broke down. Hubby had never become so mad at his family to the extent of turning his back on them, to the extent of shutting his dad up, but he did all these because his only child was involved.

The family, they all said my daughter was lying. My question is: can a four year old lie about such? The nature of this supposed lie. I don't think so. But all the family members said my daughter lied. And even the girl denied it.
They are totally refusing to address this. They even after some weeks have codedly believe such happened and have called my husband to beg, hubby said so, I don't know if it's true or not. But me the wife, NOBODY, I REPEAT, NOBODY CALLED ME. Like I am nothing in their eyes. Not even the evil mother that insisted my daughter spent some days with them. It's not like if they called me to apologize it would change the past, no, but I might have some tiny relief.

My daughter talks about that experience till date. Even up till yesterday. I am beyond heartbroken. I can't forgive.

The family all turned their face away. Nobody cared to address it, even his parents. I'm thinking of going to their church to expose her because I hear the 15 year old girl is getting baptized next week. Hubby told me to forget about it, his brother told me not to try it. But anytime my daughter remembers this incident and brings it up, I become very disturbed. I don't know what to do.

Please advise me.

Please pay close attention to your daugther and help her clear the thoughts from her head. You shld be stern with her next time she talks about it. They are both minors and you can't be too sure where your daughter picked it from..as your in-laws are also bring up their daughter in a godly way( must av taken time to attend the baptismal classes). So don't blame the entire family for not believing . They may all just be seeing the good side of the 15year and never witnessed any negative thing that will make them feel it's true ( you also didn't mention past behaviours of concern). So please get the out of you babies head, pay close attention to her, pray and let go. The truth will come to light soon.

Where is a 4 year old going to learn about such a peculiar thing that they’re saying she’s lying.

His family’s response is all I’d need to distance myself from that family forever. I doubt the perpetrator is going to face any substantial disciplinary action.

Just disgusting

Is she the person remembering it or are you the one asking her about it every now and then? I ask because it's obvious you need closure, the affirmation that your little girl is telling the truth. In any case, the thing very likely happened and it's a very bad and evil thing to happen to a child. Now, you're right to be angry but you must let go and also encourage your daughter to move forward. Don't rule out professional therapy for your daughter and you. More importantly, pray over your daughter intently and passionately. Are you born again? This is just one of the endless reasons people need that relationship with God in this life. I said pray because events like this where a child gets violated or raped is usually demonic. It harms the victim spiritually like opening them up to demonic attacks. They just don't do it for pleasure. Don't attack your husband's family any further. Just focus on your daughter and commit the rest to God.

In portables voice "wahala wahala"..

You did nothing wrong in letting your daughter stay with them. You trusted them.

I believe you will always be hurt when u remember what happened. Even more heartbroken whenever our daughter speaks of it

Well . You need to protect your daughter more.

The 15yr old is still a minor so the case woneven get to court because she won't be judged as an adult.

Even if you go to the church and report the supposed 15yr old girl, the priest will also recommend counseling and deliverance to both the victim and the culprit.

I am with you on this. You see this holiday of a thing, my children will never try that. My sis in law once asked me why I don't allow my kids to come to their base for holidays. I told her I won't try that until they reach a certain age, but for now, we come together and leave together.

MsJackson:

She always tells me: mum when are we going to her house to beat her up?

-If this story is actually true and you don't get justice for that child (especially in her presence) in order for her to get a closure from such horrible crime, then you and your hubby are damn fools.

-Leaving your minor with family members for 4 days, because you're too busy doing exactly what? Follow your mother instinct, always..

-The first 4-5 years of a child is very critical, followed by teenage age. You get it wrong, then it has lasting effect...

-Tell your SIMP husband, your daughter needs closure. A simple last visit to that house with your daughter to "give that girl one" could do it for your daughter.

I am trying to digest this. A girl of 4 kept a secret from you for 3 months, then suddenly remembers to open up after such a long time. Something is wrong somewhere and you should have a long conversation with your daughter.

So many thing are happening

So many things have been happening for so many years

Someone must have done or been doing same to the 15 yr old..

With all the news we hear its odd to leave a 4 yr old anywhere..

You need to not overreact in presence of your daughter.. you need to research the global best practices for dealing with this situation to avoid future psychological issues ...

Google and know the best words to tell her to give full psychological recovery.. let her know what was done to her was wrong and was not her fault and she should forget it.

Let me be frank with you, that 15 year old girl was also a victim of abuse.
Who taught her, is it media or someone close to her, that I can't say. But the sure thing is that she was also abused. The cycle continues.

Both the 15 year old and your 4 year old needs help. Keep praying for your 4 year old and keep preaching to her that the very act was wrong.

As for you going to report the girl... You may be doing the right thing because baptism is for the repentant.
But you need to help the girl also with her transformation process.

I was a product of abuse, if God didn't help me, I may have turned a Pedophile. I know how I struggled with the thoughts. At age 5, I was thinking of things people of my age didn't know about.

I hope what you mean by being Stern and getting it out of her baby's head isn't to suppress the memory. It will backfire. It's better to address it once and for all and then move on. The little girl should be taught it's not the end of the world and that she is powerful, beautiful, and capable of achieving all her dreams. It's what she needs reinforced instead of forcing her to suppress the memory of what happened as if it didn't happen. It will backfire in the future. Also, make no mistake, religion and baptism are not indicators of true godliness.

SEE HOW ALL THE FEMALE MONIKERS ARE ALL SHOUTING ON THIS THREAD FOR JUSTICE LOL grin. IT IS JUST SO AMAZING.

EVEN WHEN THEY (AUNTIES) KNOW THAT THIS IS WHAT THEY DO WITH MOST OF US WHEN WE WERE VERY LITTLE BOYS. THEY TELL US TO FINGER THEM, SUCK THEIR BREAST, PRESS OUR FINGERS ON THEIR CLITORIS WITH PRESSURE. AM NOT MAKING THIS UP. I EXPERIENCED IT AS A VERY LITTLE BOY WITH Hot AUNTIES AND MAIDS. AM VERY SURE MOST OF THE LADIES ON THIS THREAD ARE LIKE THAT. INFACT EVEN THE MUM TO THE 4 YEAR OLD TOO MAY VERY MUCH HAVE HAD SEX PLAY WITH LITTLE BOYS WHILE BECOMING AN ADULT.

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE HERE IS, IT'S A GIRL. BUT ALOT OF GUYS EXPERIENCED SEXUAL KINDS OF PLAYS WITH LADIES FAR OLDER WHEN BEING A LITTLE BOY.

LADIES HARDLY SEE ANY WRONG IN IT.

IS IT BECAUSE THE VICTIM IS A GIRL?! THAT IS THE REASON FOR ALL THIS NOISE?!

a child of that age can’t frame a story like that. If it didn’t happen, she wouldn’t say it. Assuming she said the teenager beat her or eats her food, that is still reasonable, not svcking her private part. The teenager should be exposed if not she will continue that disgusting act with someone else

You have some blame in leaving a 4yrs old for 3days to other people.

I personally think you are not mature yourself as a mother and guardian. Thank God your daughter was not rape but abused by an in-law. Let me ask you if the table was turned and your brother or sister was the one accused by your in-law's niece or nephew would linger on this like this?
The solution is to teach your daughter to forget about it by telling her it will never happen again and that the offender has been punished. Tell her not to do such character herself that it bad and seek a chance no matter how long it will be to get in touch with that 15yrs old girl and have one and one discussion with her and if it happens she confess tell her it was bad and naturally if she's convinced she would try to make her wrongs right and if she denies then leave judgment to karma.
See how you are prolonging matter as if it was an act by an adult or can you mother that 15yrs old in-law?
