No that important though. Your GPA is low, reason for the GRE.

You can present the result to schools, anyone that don't want it will do their internal evaluation themselves.

Be ready to explain the career gap.. what you had been doing since you finished secondary school.Remember average Naija finishes secondary school before 20. So your work experience for the past 10yrs would be very helpful..

Good GPA and publications are more importanta….so you need a GRE to offset your low GPA.

My issue is that I just got done with my university and im willing to Apply for MSC in mechanical engineering
My cgpa is not that encouraging because I finished with 2.6 on a scale of 5 and also I don’t have a GRE result

Please fam I need your help on what to do because most school im seeing are saying 2.5 on a scale of 5 and also I haven’t done GRE exam
And also I don’t have my certificate yet because it hasn’t been issued by my school
I only have my transcript and statement of result

Everything is not negative in your case. You have age on your side. You seem to know what you want cos you have started making moves even when your certificate is not yet.. yes transcripts should be ok for now.

If I were you, I would start taking online GRE tutorials to prepare for the exam. A good GRE would likely help to shore up your resume since your GPA isnt that wonderfully good. Good luck.

Ooh but what if the program is not in line with the mechanical engineering I studied ??

I doubt if $25k is going to cover tuition and board for 2 yrs in a US college??

Go ahead and apply. Once you reach the stage for payment, there will be down arrow to download the document. Do that, and upload on your Marshall University app.

Also, send a mail to admission unit about it. There is also a possibility of them downloading it directly from their own backend.

NB: This scenario is for EngineeringCAS. I have no idea for other centralized system for other faculties.
