I understand you very well and I have never been a tenant all my life,from my fathers house after nysc I moved into my own house.Even as a student in the uni I didn’t pay rent because I stayed in my aunts BQ.As a corper,I stayed quietly in the lodge.I hate house rent like mad.My point was just that e for close eyes the difference between a more quality roof and this one he used no go pass 500k.I made this mistake,each time I see my first house I go Dey wonder how I waka.I have renovated it and upgraded it heavily but the roof no let me touch.Other houses I didn’t make the mistake.Roof is the beauty of a house.

I just bought land measuring approximately 1 full plot in Oyo Town..
I am a business young man.. It has always been my dream to build house in a descent estate not too far from my business location.
So luckily I got one virgin land just close to the major road.
The cost is 1.4 million naira, including lawyers and agent fees...
Moulding of blocks is presently ongoing and the fencing foundation will commence next week when the blocks will be dried enough.

bro na divine wisdom Dey make young man remeber to build early.I built mine at about 26 or so.I just told myself I will never marry as a tenant u know.U know say belle no be show glass so once person don succeed get roof over em head 70% of em problems don Dey solved.Taking that decision helped me.U go stl build bro just take am as priority and na land be the major wahala especially depending on ur area.Reasonable land for south south where we come from na die.Good night bros make I sleep

The Op posted this thread for a reason. He has his budget. The country is hard. But the house is too beautiful for the kind of roofing on it. It wasn't even neatly done.

When it comes to building, especially when it's your first house, you can never get everything right. You learn.

Fungi and algae forming on walls can be due to so many reasons. Principally moisture, presence of water aids the growth of algae and fungi. So it doesn't really matter either you screed or you apply gravitex, if the enabling factors is available for them to bloom, you will have them on your walls.

For walls that already have them the first thing is to eliminate the source or factors that supports their growth then do a wall treatment with biocidal wash before you decide on the choice of paint to use.
