One major reason for jungle justice is dissatisfaction with the law enforcement agents and distrust in their capacity to bring about justice. That's why individuals decide to take the law into their own hands, which isn't good because someone should be tried and found guilty before an appropriate punishment is meted out. You call the police, they make an arrest but before you know it, after collecting bribe or receiving an "order from above", within 3 days, the suspect is roaming free again. The Law enforcement agents need to do the right thing, else it'll be really difficult for this to stop.

Sometimes innocent people might be killed, the problem with jungle Justice is that those guys won't even ask what happened, sometimes people are framed up and end up being burnt innocently. Same thing happened in Omagwa Rivers state some years ago, innocent uniport students were burnt to death. The community remain empty for months... Always investigate before you take actions.

Five men were burnt to death after they allegedly attempted to snatch a tricycle operator of his tricycle in Onitsha, Anambra State, IGBERETV reports.

The incident occurred at old Nkpor road, close to the headquarters of People’s Club, in the commercial city of Onitsha on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

An eyewitness said that the suspects allegedly tried to steal a tricycle from the owner in broad daylight when they ran out of luck and were caught.

“Mob who gathered after the men were rounded up, refused the advice of some people to call in the police. They first started by striping the men naked and beating them up, and eventually, some people brought old tyres and fuel, and they were set ablaze. It was a very bad sight today, and everyone watched and supervised, while the men burnt to death,” he said.
