I submitted since 9th March, and no progress has been made.
I’m honestly not meant to be this worried but I need to submit my passport for Canada stamping and was given 30 days.
The unfortunate thing is that I can’t recall my passport from them. I’m honestly just so worried.

Yes but if this is your first time applying for US visa it might take few days to get the email. Just be patient and check your email regularly

A friend of mine want to apply for US B1/B2 visa. How can he prove his travel experience when he lost his old passport that he has Uk and Singapore visa on it?

Please how long does it take to get back your passport if your visa is approved. I intend to travel in two weeks time after my interview. Is it possible for it to have arrived by then?

Not possible. Some stay as long as 6weeks. Don't buy your ticket until you have your passport in your hands.

Now I have received my parents own passports effortlessly with 5 years visa after 19 dayd only and yet not even able to schedule IW appointment for my wife's own that was applied for on the day as theirs. I have made several calls and emails but only get one liners asking me to hold on.

This will definitely be helpful, I had the same experience until I did this. I found this on this platform and helped so as many people.

I stumbled into this approach here and it worked for me...


Hi, I believe you dissociated your dependents from your profile. You need to follow the steps below:
1. When you login into your account, confirm that the family details tile shows “0”. If yes, then you will get a date shortly. If not, go to step 2 below.
2. Call or have a live chat with CGI, let them know about dissociation of dependents from your account and how they have gotten an IW date but you have not. They will ask for some details (passport and email) and they will review your account. Once they notice the family details tile is showing a number other than zero, they will ask if every dependent had been totally removed. If you confirm that, they will escalate your case to the embassy to clear the number. You will get a new case opened and it should be resolved in a week. Finally, you will go through the process of getting a IW date and in 24hrs you should receive the email to select a date.

This was was my experience and I noticed send several notes through the feedback option was a longer process.

It’s the parents they will ask the questions. There really is nothing to ask a small child. I haven’t done any interview in years so I don’t really know.

I quickly told my friend that has been waiting and she too checked and said hers was not ready. Seems they are releasing it on a person to person basis. At least we know they have started again. Thank God. Just be checking my dear.

Ur friend can state his travel history on the DS160 form, but it will be better of he gets photocopy of his lost passport along with the stamp entries for each countries he has visited in the past

Yes you can't do that anymore, You need to be approved first before you can pick a date.

Contact IRCC to extend the deadline - you should explain why, tho

Yes it could be because of Easter Easter break considering Friday was holiday.
If you qualify for Interview waiver, you should get the email by Tuesday or Wednesday.
