We recently started dating about three months ago. I've visited his house quite a lot but his dog still doesn't like me. I expected after spending that long time with the dog, she would have gotten used to me but no, that dog still holds resentments towards me.

Anytime I come over, it starts barking uncontrollably. We can't even get intimate with peace of mind, it keeps barking at the doorstep while we are having sex in his room.

Until we're done and he (my boyfriend) goes out to attend to her. The dog does not allow me go near him anytime it's around always sitting next to him and growling anytime I'm close by.

I've suggested to him to kill the dog or sell it so i can have peace of mind but he said he loves the dog so much that the dog was his girlfriend before I came into his life as he had not been in any relationship before(I'm his first girl)...

I don't know what to do and I don't want to say I'm beginning to get tired of the relationship but I'm not happy. Had it been the kind of dog self was all this parlour dog or small dogs, I wouldn't have been complaining, but it's all this very big dogs. I think he said the specie is a boa bull or something...

This might be true but at the same time it may not be so in this case especially if the dog is of the opposite sex. Not everything is spiritual.
My girlfriend has a dog, we have just started dating about a month ago.
I'm a dog lover and from the very first day I stepped into my girlfriend's house to visit, the dog fell in love with me, we became best of friends. she wiggles her tail in excitement whenever she sees me.
But the day I started kpanshing the girl , the dog would start barking at the door until we stopped, once we stop, she's all over me again.. playing with me. She cries when I leave.
Sometimes she comes in between me and my girl when we are kissing.
Dogs are like human beings, they can be jealous, envious and spiteful. Especially if they are of the opposite sex (male or female). They will treat any intruder as a rival.
So this case may not be spiritual as noted in my own case.
But I know dogs have spiritual eyes, they see what we don't see, so you might be right . Especially with all these ogbanje girls in naija. If my dog acts that way around my girl, I would suggest ways to her how she could make the dog like her.. coming with treats, toys etc.. but after all this and the dog still acting up.. that will be the end of our relationship. I watched a reality show (married at first sight) .. this dog will always hump on the boy (dog owner's boyfriend) whenever he comes around even if there are people around, he doesn't hump on other men except the boyfriend.. even though the dog likes the boy, they play together, he takes him for walks and all that . The girl has to research about it cos it was embarrassing.. she found out it was a sign of the dog showing his dominion and marking his territory . He wants the boy to know he rules the house.
