@Loco, don't be in haste to sell your remaining JAPAUL, I won't show any pity this time around o. grin
I'm currently checking for more info too.....
Like I said earlier, JAPAUL is not directly into Oil & Gas but it renders offshore services to Oil & Gas; is into dredging and also mining of mineral resources.

Oil & Gas service companies also benefit from oil & gas sector's boom in terms of increased activities and revenue.
Q2 result should throw more light on this.
Dredging is already fetching them money.
*More checks to be done.

You're on point!
@locodemy got me researching Japaul and I got in heavily @ .29 because I see the potential in the industry. There is a lot of room for growth in here but a pullback is likely due to the economic uncertainty.

P.S I be newbie with high risk appetite and I literally don't know what I am saying. DYOR!

If you can exercise patience you will get 200% in Japaul.I may not be there when you will be counting the 200% because of impatience.

The reason why I sold the 5m units yesterday is not because of the company but because this subsidy removal might cause the generational low oracle is inciting.I have 13,857,000 units of Japaul left.
For Japaul to show strength at the last hours of trading yesterday means something is cooking.Might be the impact of subsidy removal lurking on the stock.

He only shared with us what he saw through his lens and tools.

I'm still a newbie or a learner in equity investment!

Stock like Fidelity Bank has been paying me DIVIDENDS since the year I bought it.

While stock like Universal Insurance has been paying me with HOPE.

I have discovered that DIVIDEND is better than HOPE.

Correct.

I call dividend staying power, when you buy a stock with an intrinsic value of N20 for N10. The stock might not get to that value in 2 years, but the dividend earned gives the investor the staying power to hold on and the cash flow to buy more.

Suddenly, like a thief in the night the stock will get to its intrinsic value and even exceed it.

Success in stock market Investment requires patience, regular dividends allow investors to have the patience, financial peace and to also get Investment income while waiting

Caverton, cileasing companies render services to oil & gas companies.

With this subsidy removal, one has to rechanel investment to where belly face.

Can you list some companies that render services to those in the up/downstream oil companies?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 12:57pm On Jun 03, 2023
Assuming a stock of N10 in 2019 is now N20 in 2023.

That is a 100% growth within 4 years, giving the investor a compounded annualized growth rate of 20%.

But it is possible the stock didn't gain anything in 3 years, also possible that the stock price lost in the last 3 years and the current 100% stock price gain happened within 3 months.

That is why the knowledge of when to average down a good stock that is selling well below its fair value is also important for long term success in the stock market

Oga Emma Ewummi and the other gurus here.
Won't it be sensible for one to offload his fbnh @ current market price and use the proceeds to buy UBA or Access?
One will even get more shares of Access or Uba @ the current market prices.
Really disappointed wit the 50k from fbnh.
Wat's yr take.
Final DD will be mine.
Thanks.

You are the CEO of Yourself portfolio. Invest in stocks you understand how they make money, create value, grow revenue and sustain profitability.

By the way the least banking stock in my portfolio in terms of value is First Bank. So I missed the Otedola bull experienced by FBN but I am okay.

Access or UBA is better than FBNH with respect to dividend payment.

Is like the Nigerian breed of politicians have taken of over the management of FBNH.

I don't think is about any politician taking over. I want to believe it is all about sustainability. FBN needs to retain more money to shore up their capital base for improvement in CAR. the last time I checked they have the lowest CAR among the first tier banks.
If what one is looking for is a good dividend yield it is my opinion that FBN is not where one can get it for now..

Current management of First Bank has or have the mentality of an average Nigerian politicians(they are known for eating alone);and that's why they have been paying average/poor dividends for like the past 10 years .

On paper that’s crazy dividend growth oh! That’s a 43% increase from last year but that did not stop me from selling my small position! I am ok with my 40% gain in the space of 6-9 months.

Access and UBA with better yearly dividends also point to the fact that Access and UBA have better management with intergrity when dealing with the shareholders.

Every company Otedola is involved is known for poor dividend payment and stock price manipulation.

Forte Oil now Ardova is a testament to my submission above.

I hope it reaches the 30 Naira mark because that's what I got it for in 2008.
I can't wait to sell this not performing fbn shares. So sad

You mean you didn't average down when it went down to as low as N4 in 2018.

Did you also remove the dividends earned in the last 15 years from your cost.
