Sincerely, Nigeria as a nation ought to have gone into extinction.... imagine a student on paid scholarship being rejected...Our so called businessmen no get shame at all....

We taught the embassies our criminality!

What makes you believe the scholarship is real? And even if it’s real, the embassies have been forced to learn that, even though it’s a scholarship, doesn’t mean it’s a scholarship.

People used that racket to nail Canada back in those days. The link was coming from Indian then.

So even if it’s a scholarship, it doesn’t mean it’s a scholarship. We taught the embassies EVERYTHING they know

That is where the USA and Western countries are one step above Nigeria. See how they are using Visa applications to accrue billions for American economy every year. But Nigerian govt want to kill its entire youth population because cyber crime, Yahoo boys. But who are the most victims of Yahoo, the same White people.

American govt could have easily addressed the high rate of Visa rejections for Nigerian applicants, but chose to look sideway because it is making billions for their economy.

I pray every embassy blocks Nigerians from leaving.

Why not invest those millions you want to use on documentation to process your japa.

As for me, Nigeria is sweet and full of freedom, only when you have money.

Nigeria is so blessed, that you can choose to be rich or not..... So much money in the land.
I pray this money locate me,na wetin naija need be that, enough money.

Has your sister shared any story of regret with you ?. How she has to work as a factory workers under unhealth conditions to make that pittance. How she dropships at unholy hours? Have u seen the pressure that makes illegal alien, especially age within short time?

Being in the United States after abusing your Visitor's visa is not straight forward.

Even if you get US citizenship, they will keep investigating till you are dead. Once they determine you have given an inconsistent information to either the consular officer before you got the visa or while in the United States, you will be stripped of your citizenship and recommended for deportation.

Be careful with the United States and its immigration laws.

She is actually my half sister though to some extent we are close. It is apparent that it is something she did secretly as her direct siblings were quite displeased and disappointed. She is not a typical working class person who japas blindly. Her direct brother claims she has her papers now but I doubt it. From the picture of her only child, a boy who was rather quite cocky here in Naija, now seemed chastened. I am worried he might be in some dreadful public school in Chicago. This was a kid in a private school in Lekki. I remember him calling his grandmother "naughty grandma" for spanking him. grin grin grin grin grin

It is indeed a curse to be Nigerian. I'm on my third attempt now to get a visa, and hopefully it will be successful this time after two previous failed attempts. Sometimes i wonder why humans have to go through such difficult processes just to travel. I sometimes envy the birds that fly freely at will. We committed no crime as immigrants; we just want to leave this country for the rich, corrupt people to defecate upon. Is that a crime?
Now 😭 this is very deep..most people will not understand what it is like.
But I encourage you to try again.
If our schools and systems were working, why would people want to abandon their loved ones and go to a strange land and start life afresh?.

Sorry bro.
My prayers are with you

This particular statement is the worst thing about the majority of Nigerians.

The way people glorify, engage, and support illegalities and find justifications for it is alarming.
God bless you. You understand that point

Not South korea my dear.
Forget what you read on the news. That's political statement.
I can tell you about this closeted country more I can confidently talk about my country.
They hate other Asians not to talk of black people.

A Nigerian student was on a kbs show some yrs ago called hello counsellor. You need to see this handsome dude and what he is studying is not the everage cause out there. Do you know his case was so bad kbs was actually begging Koreans to be at least 1% acceptance of him. Some of the judges were so biased yet they were begging their people to accept him. I'm sure that guy ra away after his masters. Guy looked like a model. His accent and carriage shows he is not from a hungry background but Koreans don't care. They will spit at you. You come close they will disperse.
There is a popular Ghanaian called Sam okere who had wanted to break through in entertainment. Anything he appears in flops. Koreans are the most racist in the whole world.
They can only accept Americans.
They can't even accept mixed Koreans.

Forget about all these. They give people VISA. They reject more though but people get it.
My younger sis was on $34k scholarship and she got it.
I know about 2 people who got it too. All at first attempt.
They are giving people. You just have to know what to do to get it.
If they don't give you now, try again.
Try Abuja.
Don't scare those who want to try.
which one is scare those who wants to travel?if its easy why not just enter plane and go without visa.how are we sure what you just said is the truth

Why una still dey patronize dem??

Mummyfour:
21st if August, I was at the American embassy for a visa appointment.

From the period spanning 3 hours I was there, nobody left the interview room with a smile or laughter. Almost every one there was rejected.

The funniest thing about the rejection was the verdict on the light blue paper given to the intending travellers which read" you have not demonstrated that you have enough ties to bring you back to Nigeria "

In a layman's terms, it means we are suspecting that you want to japa into the US.

The most painful aspect was a lot of undergraduates that were turned down. A guy that had a $60,000 worth of scholarship was bounced too.

I saw someone who was just going on a study leave from a whole Deloitte where he works in presently in Nigeria being bounced too.
Most of the interviewers didn't even check out relevant documents of the applicants, but just drew their conclusion based on face value.

I was discussing with people and they said inasmuch as the reason for that verdict was baseless and stupid, we Nigerians are viewed as the worst of the worst world citizens to allow access into the US, irrespective of one's qualifications.
We have a government, system and people that are fantastically corrupt.
We have people who engage in and support illegalities.

Our judiciary is biased and is for the highest bidders, and our political system and elections are flawed (none is perfect anywhere in the world) but ours is glaring and very embarrassing.

Our leaders are not patriotic and that is why when we as citizens have our rights trampled on locally or internationally, nothing is done about it.
Nigeria is not regarded as anything again.
In other words, we are just seen as nothing but irritating pollutants.

So for those of you that applaud evil in this land, pray you remain forever in Nigeria because even if it is just to go and visit and come back, they will not allow you.
If you even have a scholarship or any good thing that can take you out of this country, you will be frustrated at the embassy.

And for those of you that left already and are destroying the name of Nigeria, God's punishment awaits you.
And for those that are still making us proud in the US and elsewhere, may God continue to bless your efforts

I rest my case.

During slave trade era they needed extra hands. Today they still need those hands but skilled versions. The difference is we are so corrupt, the bad eggs among us have the means to show up at their embassy for permission to crossover.

But what of Doctors that have gotten a job to work there.

Are they denied visas as rampant as this too, or they have a special visa?

Thank you.

Every case is unique and different. When it comes to visa issuance, you need to focus on what applies to you and discard the ratio.

the American embassy staff and systems are not daft.
All they needed to do was carefully scrutinize the documents and be sure it is real.

Maybe people could get away with things like that nowadays, but not any more especially with technology and all that
