There doesn’t seem to enough information about what I am about to ask. I learnt your degree must be related to your work experience. I have a Masters in Labour and relations and I have experience working as an Account Manager in a Fintech. Do I qualify for the 189,190 Visa?

One of the biggest hurdle you'll have to pass will be the skill assessment. You might be able to get a positive skill assessment if you have a minimum of 5 - 6 years for your work experience even though your degree is not related.

P.S, That was what I interpreted from VETASSESS website.

I’m on 482 visa Labour agreement and my employer has been giving me 75 hours per fortnight instead of 76hours. There is no plan to complete this hours by my employer even though it’s part of the conditions of my visa. Will this affect my PR visa application in the future?
I don't see it being a problem.
How did you notify your employer about this issue? remember to make it official via email with evidence. (avoid talks without evidence).

Not in all cases but most.
you need to let us know first which occupation you want to apply for and the anzsco code and we can let you know if it will fly or not

You are right, Vetassess may deduct up to 3 years depending on the occupation and level (not all occupations qualify for deduction of experience in lieu of qualification). ACS is like 5-6 years. Some bodies don't allow it.

I wrote to my employer via mail since 6 months now for more than 4 times and he never replied to those mails, he only replied with the words of mouth that he’s working on it. I’m completing a year on this visa next month and I’m afraid if the year won’t count for me

it will count, just get statutory declaration.

Hello, good morning. Please i have a question to ask.

I'm planning on sending my HND certificate in Civil engineering to EA for assessment. I have no work experience. What are the odds of getting a positive response? Thanks!

Hello, good day sir, can we talk via email?
I have some questions I would like to ask about ACS, and I observed you just applied for your own assessment, I will be awaiting your response, thanks.

Vbabs:
Vincentosa, MrsJoycey1.

Thanks a lot guys.

Once the assessment result is out, I will create EOI for 189,190 and 491 as advised.

I will come back for more questions if need be, so please don't get tired yet smiley

...for now, I'll wait for the 10-12 weeks mentioned by ACS.

MrsJoycey1, congrats once again. May your relocation decision favor you and your family.

Good day guy,
Please I need assistance on my application, I was rejected by South Australia and I want to create another application with the same details. How do I go about it?
I have my valid English test and skill assessment from TRA as an Electrical Engineering Technician.
Which other state can I apply to?

Thanks in anticipation

Ensure your application is for a level 2 occupation only. HND cannot assess a level 1 occupation with EA.
if you have experience, just go for Civil Engineering draftsperson with Vetassess.

Apply to Victoria
Check if there is a period you need to wait before you re-apply to SA.

2 years for non-relevant qualification then 1 year normal deduction = 3 years
Check the information sheet and be sure the job descriptions fits your experience.

It fits my job description. Does that mean I will only be able to claim 3 years experience whenever I'm applying for 190 and 491?

I wrote IELTS, not PTE.

In terms of 491, 189 and 190, which of them has the best chance of invitation for a Construction Project Manager for Western Australia?

Construction related jobs are priority for WA, but the higher your points the better. You can do that by having superior English, doing skills assessment with work experience with VETASSES.

Hello House,

I would like to submit my CDR + Experience assessment for a chemical engineering role to Engineers Australia.

The problem is that the job designation in my employment letter and payslips does not match with the Chemical Engineering Profession.
designation in my offer letter and payslips is Procurement Engineer (Production/Process) while my job experience for 5 years is Process Engineer (Which is also a chemical engineer). I was given the role of chemical engineer in the procurement Dept without changing the designation in my payslips and offer letter for about 5 years now. Please how can I claim the 5 years of experience, please how do i clarified to EA regarding my chemical engineering experience? Are there any documents I can use to replace the Offer letter & Payslips?

Please someone with experience should help and respond to my questions

You can assess as a Production or Plant Engineer

Hello, please I'm new here but I'll like someone that can put me through this process. I have masters degree in health education and I'll like to migrate to Australia, I've checked the skills list, I can see mine on it but I don't know what next to do from here, I'll be glad if any of the masters here can put me through.

I'm also preparing for my IELTS.

Thank, I'll be expecting any body's reply.

Good morning.. please if i don't have a highly related degree but i have years of experience to qualify does that mean my bachelor's degree won't be assessed as an equivalent degree in australia. I did a 5 years course. Thank

Hello Guys,

Firstly, Great job with providing valued information and advise to everyone needing help on here.

Secondly, as it turns out, i need to help in deciding if i should apply for a 190 Visa.

Profile;
Age - 31
Current Profession - ICT Account Manager (1 year + experience at a fintech)
Previous Profession - Bank Manager/investment professional (6 years + at a tier One Bank in Nigeria)
First Degree - Bsc Building == Nigeria (Graduated -2014)
Second degree - MBA=== UK (Graduated - 2022) WES evaluated
IELTS - 8.5 overall

Initial thoughts based off research; apply as an ICT Account Manager as seen below;

225211 ICT ACCOUNT MANAGER

Manages sale of computer hardware, software and services to existing account clients and identifies further sales opportunities within these accounts, builds new account clients, manages customer satisfaction and retention, and coordinates the preparation and presentation of ICT sales proposals and tenders.
Skill Level: 1

I have reviewed the eligibility page on the both the AU PR and VETASSESS Websites and for 1 year experience for ICT Account Manager, i should have a highly relevant field of study (Information technology or computer sci.)or should be closely related.

Questions;

1. Will my MBA be considered as closely related- i took maybe two ICT courses and my thesis was on digital banking?
2. Do i evaluate both degrees?
3. On the AU immigration portal, 225211 ICT ACCOUNT MANAGER falls under STSOL list. How do i check what states are de demanding my profession asides individually checking?
4. What are my chances?

Hi Tunlex,

The skill assessment I applied for came in negative due to my B.Sc Geology from Unilorin being categorised as an Associate degree in Australia. But thankfully, I was able to come in as a dependent some months back.
I'm thinking of applying for another assessment as a friend advised I apply as an Earth science technician rather than a Geophysicist since the criteria for that is an Associate degree.

Can you please advice if this option is viable and if I can get a PR for that.

P.S: My wife is now studying B.Sc Nursing in an NSW regional area.

Thanks a lot for all you do.
tunlex01:

It's a dicey situation.
If you arrive here as a dependent, you will no longer be referred to as offshore and most states are the moment are only offering nominations to graduates from their universities. If you are not a graduate, there could be some other pathways.

ANother option is you may be lucky to get a job and/or a company willing to sponsor you and your spouse.
The location(state) of your spouse's university and also course of study can also determine your chance.
Sincerely, your chance at PR looks good due to your occupation.
