I would advice them to let their love die a natural death. I'm lucky not to be SS, but my sister wasn't so lucky. I watched her live a life of pain and in her death bed, she begged us to allow her die because the pain was just too much. I cry when i think about what she could have become but I'm happy she doesn't feel the pains anymore. If they love themselves so much, they should not allow a sickle cell child into this world to live a life of pain. Whenever a man has unprotected intercourse with a woman and cums inside, in my opinion, he has indirectly asked God for a child so he should love that precious gift he's asķing for and make sure the child doesn't come into a world of pain and suffering.

If you have money, use IVF with donor egg (AA) for conception. But then I think you shouldn't use love to trap each other. There are many fishes in the sea for either of you.

They should go their separate ways. You can't subject your future kids to pains and agony because of love. For your sanity and genuine love, you guys have to end it

You can try other options of having kids like Adoption, IVF etc...We need understand that the compatibility of couples is not a sure guarantee that they must give birth...Eg!i have a cousin who is currently seeking for adoption cox she can't give birth. Both husband and wife are medically compatible but pikin no wan show. So it's not about compatibility but the happines, bond and understanding of the man and wife. If u have the funds please go ahead and marry her cox our society has changed that negative and old mindset.

Dont end up with the wrong person all in the name of genotype unless u want to be frustrated in that marriage

There is a solution but it's expensive . Anytime your wife conceives , you can do a test on the fetus to determine the babys genotype . But it's expensive ... I costs upto 1m+ .

So if you are a civil servant , or you are not boxed up, kindly abort mission .

I would advise that you go and see a doctor and they would tell you the options you have

Amniocentesis can be done, where after your wife takes in , a sample of the fetus at 3 months can be tested for its genotype...

The results would determine your next step

Seems you are not seeing what people are saying here now . When I was in a serious relation, I took my Fiance to Hospital Lucky enough She was As while I am AA. I told her straight up had it been we were both AS AS i Will call it a quit .My Church cant even join a couple that are both AS AS. Some children were causing their there parent for bringing them to this world to suffer. After the discovery we were both shattered as white wedding was about to be cancelled. Long story short we both decided we'll carry on, family members said no but we insisted. Today we've got two lovely kids both AA.
Grace is different but again God is a miracle working God.

I was in same shoes about 7 years ago. Bf I started dating my wife. I asked her of her genotype because I was AS. She told me she did it when she was young and it was AA.

Na so we let love carry us go where we nor know. Fast forward to when we were planning for our wedding, mumsy insisted we did the test again that was how I found she was given the wrong results.

I wanted to call it off as that was the natural response but I prayed for God's direction and I asked Him to give me a sign.

Truly God gave me the sign and gave me peace during that time.

We have two kids,one AA and other AS. Throughout the pregnancies we kept praying that God would show himself faithful and truly He did.

If the OP has a personal relationship with God ,ask Him for directions. Don't go to God with ur mind made up because you would hear a false yes. God to him with a neutral mind and God would speak to you in the manner he uses to speak to you personally.

Most people would tell u to quit the relationship as though it is easy to find someone who is compatible. If God says u should go ahead and quit, then pls do becausehe would give you a better replacement.

I would tell u something, the main purpose of marriage is companionship. Children are secondary because when they are adults they would up and leave, while you would be stuck with who so ever u married.

There is no single encouragement for him. It is what it is. That love should just die. That is all there is to it. There are no words to describe the massive amount of pain in a new human body that could result from their love. Nobody deserves to experience that pain. So they should just shake hands as friends and go about their separate lives.

Indeed. I don't know about the circumstances that led to your parents being together so I will choose to assume that it was ignorance of their genotypes. But those that know ehnnn, as far as I'm concerned, for the fact that they could force a soul that was ready to come to earth into a very painful body, their judgement...hmmmm.
I believe that some souls might want to come to life and want to go through the pain for some learning or development purpose. But let such souls come through parents who didn't know of their genotypes, not some wickedly selfish immature individuals.

The first child didn't display any symptoms until they had the second child, then it was confirmed that they are both SS.
He knew about his AS status, prior to their marriage the wife went for genotype test in a lab and they told her she was AA, she didn't go to a second lab for second opinion.

Okay. As long as it was truly a mistake and not that she got to know but somehow chose to deceive the guy, then it's okay.
