It’s best you avoid Egypt air.. it’s cheap yeah.. but in the long run you’d spend the same if not more than when you would have booked another.. there’s been lots of bad reviews from Egypt especially from Nigerian travelers..

Good morning everyone. Please I need candid advise from people who are experienced.
I am married with four children under 10 and graduated with a computer science third class in 2006. This is mostly because I was kinda forced into the course and had no passion for it so didn't understand it.
I have done varieties of jobs since like teaching, customer care but recently doing business of my own. I want to relocate with my family and my husband is insisting on Canada study visa since UK seems to be banning Nigerians soon.

I would like to switch to a business management course.

Is there cheap colleges I can apply to in Canada that will take me and a dependant and give us access to stay back and bring our kids over later.

Please I need your candid advise
There are some cheap college that have been posted on this same thread you commented. Kindly go through it for your choices of college.
That being Said you can opt for PG in business administration course and explain in your SOp how this will compel you in your career and future engagement. Going with your family all depends on your financial capabilities along side with all thr dependent going with you. In other to be more strigent and having strong ties back home it's always advisable to apply alone whilst your husband joins you later. Either with Swop/kids(visit visa).

I am talking about visa officer not the office. I am not so clear about your response. Can you make me understand better please?

MatrixReloaded:

Applications either visit or study goes tru same office regardless of the type of Visa you applied for. That been said, it's not the same processing time for either visit or study but both are processed in same office as any other applications

Just as you drive pass through toll gates, you don't meet same person you paid in the morning as in the evening. That's how it works.
Different officer can access your application but if your application is complex the final verdict goes to the main boss who approve or disapprove.

Ircc is a canadian website, UK citizens are not required for medicals or if u have lived in UK over the past 6 months u may be exempted from undergoing medical test.

Good evening everyone! Please my sister is looking at further studies in Canada but she only has a 3 years diploma in medical records from Nigeria. Is it possible to go for a diploma? Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks alot.

Good evening to you too! It's great to hear that your sister is considering further studies in Canada. With a 3-year diploma in medical records from Nigeria, she definitely has options for continuing her education.

In Canada, there are diploma programs available for various fields, including healthcare. These diploma programs can provide practical skills and knowledge that can be valuable for career advancement. Your sister can explore diploma programs related to healthcare administration, medical office administration, or health information management. These programs can help her enhance her skills and open up more opportunities.

Apart from diploma programs, there are also other options like certificate programs or even bachelor's degree programs, depending on her long-term goals and interests. It's important to research and find the programs that align with her career aspirations and meet the admission requirements.

I would recommend checking out the websites of Canadian colleges and universities to explore the specific programs they offer. They usually provide detailed information about admission requirements, program duration, and course content. Additionally, it's a good idea to reach out to the admissions offices of these institutions for personalized guidance and advice.

I hope this helps your sister in her pursuit of further studies in Canada! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Good luck to your sister on her educational journey!

That's awesome news that you got admission to Canadore College and have already paid the tuition deposit. Congrats! 🎉

Regarding your question about your brother paying the tuition fee for you, it's definitely possible. Many educational institutions in Canada accept payments from family members or sponsors on behalf of the student. However, it's always a good idea to check with Canadore College directly to confirm their specific payment policies and procedures.

You can reach out to the college's admissions office or the international student services department to inquire about the process for third-party payments. They'll be able to provide you with the necessary information and guidance on how your brother can make the payment on your behalf. Alternatively, he can pay for you through his mobile app by inputing your student number as the account number.

Wishing you all the best for your studies at Canadore College!

Good evening all,I have bachelor degree is Microbiology a STEM course however I have never worked with it for one day, I have been working in the banking industry for some years now??My issue now is what reason I will give the VO as to why I moved from microbiology to finance, especially since this has been a reason for refusal in the past applicants whose course of study is different from career path
The course I am going for is project management and I currently work as a Business Advisor for MSMEs. I am currently writing my SOP, and I need your kind assistance on how to make the change in career path logical to the VO, thank you

This is unusual for you to be fined 100cad against deferral. Deferral means, you opt out for a new admission date and giving that the admission letter is generic not via courier there is no reason to be charged 100cad. Maybe school but find out why and again if you are applying for your permit ensure its 6 months before resumption so as to have enough time to get everything sorted.

Please I would like to know if there are other centres to do the medicals, especially in the east. And also, can I do my medicals before applying for a visa?

I completely get your concern about explaining the change in your career path from microbiology to finance in your Statement of Purpose (SOP) for the visa application. It's important to make your reasoning logical and convincing to the Visa officer.

In your SOP, you can highlight how your experience in the banking industry has provided you with valuable skills and knowledge in finance and business. You can emphasize how this experience has sparked your interest in project management, as it involves coordinating and managing various aspects of a project, just like your role as a Business Advisor for MSMEs.

You can mention that while you have a bachelor's degree in microbiology, your work experience in the banking industry has allowed you to develop a strong understanding of financial management, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills. These skills are transferable and applicable to the field of project management.

Additionally, you can explain how your background in microbiology has instilled in you a strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure. These qualities are highly valuable in project management, as they contribute to effective planning, organization, and successful project completion.

Overall, the key is to showcase the relevance of your past experience and how it has prepared you for the field of project management. Highlight the skills, knowledge, and qualities you have gained from your work in the banking industry and how they align with the requirements of project management.

Remember, it's important to be honest and genuine in your SOP. Be confident in explaining your career path change and how it has led you to pursue project management.

I hope this helps you with your SOP! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask here. Good luck with your visa application and your studies in project management!

No your medical must be done by designated clinic IOM. (Lagos Abuja)
Yes you can do it and upload your emedical report during your online application on Ircc website.

There are no panel physicians in the east. You can only do your medicals in Lagos or Abuja at the designated panel physician which are IOM and Q-life respectively. Yes, you can do upfront medicals prior to applying for your visa. It expedite your application.

Hi Gurus,

I just got my GCMS notes and attached is the reason for the rejection. I am surprised it mentions limited funds since I presented 51,000 CAD as POF for a family of 5.

I am looking for someone to help me write SOP for my reapplication.

Did you provide a personal or company's statement? Were you the main sponsor or you had someone sponsor you and your family? What other docs did you provide which shows that you have sufficient funds? Was there any unexplained lump sum deposit in your account?

I provided my personal statement (dom account).
Yes, I am the main sponsor.
I provided my employment letters, though the account I used is not my salary account. I also used the same account to apply for my wife.

Was there any unexplained lump sum deposit in your account? Also, what was your estimated cost of attendance (tuition and living expenses) for the first year? I am asking because the living expenses for a family of 5 is approximately 23,000 CAD which leaves you with 28,000CAD. If your tuition is over 20,000 CAD, this means you're literally spending almost all your savings on this journey.

also, how many years course is your wife going for?

You can check some of my previous post on how i explained how I will be able to take care of my family while I also applied for SOWP.

Although, just a family of 3 dou while Wife is the primary applicant.

NOTE: I did all myself.

Well, I had deposits of 2k5, 3k, and 4k USD in my DOM account. my wife's Program is 1 Year. so the amount is for 1 year.
I explained part of the money was for the balance of my wife's tuition of 8600 CAD.
I provided a breakdown of the expenses for me and my 3 kids- 4k for me and 9k for my kids. I provided a breakdown for flight tickets and daycare for my 3-year-old and an additional 5k for miscellaneous.
