Just thought I should mention that we should be checking not only the spam scores of expired domains but also those of the generated ones (the so-called "hang reg"). Many of these were also registered in the past before being dropped.

I think I only started doing this late last year or this year. After I noticed a very high spam score for a "potential" brandable that I generated recently, I decided to check the spam scores of practically all the domains in my portfolio that I hadn't checked in the past. Found that a few had somewhat high spam scores, including some that I have owned for 2-3 years.

I mean for you to have come across any of his names, is an indication that you know what a good name is.
