Only God know the kind of Stone Age curriculum the Nigerian Police is using in its training schools.

It is professionally, legally and morally wrong for any security agency to arrest a suspect during a live coverage of a program. They should have allowed the program to be concluded before effecting the arrest.

Our police will continue to be a disgrace and the leadership should e embarrassed for this.

That means they can burst into Arise studio and arrest Rufai Oseni for always tackling the leadership.

They acted as the order sounded.

In real sense when your boss says go and call someone, you should know you are not meant to drag the person to the boss but message the person and wait after which you escort.

When we select the worst of us and make them police officers, what do we expect. Less than 5 % of the entire officers of Nigeria Police behave like normal human beings with functional brains, the rest are abnormal. A normal well reasoning person who comes to radio studio to arrest a person will just have his seat and wait for the live program to finish and then effect his arrrst without any drama or incidence, nobody is saying you should not arrest, but the usual average Nigerian police officer wants drama, that is why he wants to bring the listening public to the arrest.

Sometimes criminals behave in a way that puts security agencies in a very difficult situation.
If a man decides to behave irrationally it's okay for police to be irrational with him too.
The police I know would have extended invitation to him and called him to come to their office and he has refused.
I'm sure he ran to that television studio believing falsely that he can't be arrested on set.

Ran into the station and started hosting the live broadcast program all of a sudden? Why doesn't the officers wait for the program to end or is there any program on radio that does not have a time ?

I said it a few days ago and I will keep saying it, the energy that the Nigerian police channel in educating Nigerians on the need to do the right thing, if they channel that energy in training and educating their personnel , Nigeria would have had a good police force by now embarassed

show us where it is stated in the constitution that a bricklayer cannot be arrested while doing his job.

Una go just dey speak nonsense English full space. So you mean if a junkalist says things capable of disturbing public peace and inciting violence, he should be allowed to finish because he is on the job?

Most Nigerians just want to be heard. They don't even listen to themselves cheesy

What a country. No question of arrest warrant or court order.
So even if someone wrote a petition, that now gives them the authority to arrest??

Why arrest someone on a live broadcast or telecast? Even if the person is guilty of whatever crime, it should be done after the broadcast or telecast. It is high time our Nigerian police go through mental test before joining the police and handing guns to them. These guys keep embarrassing our already damaged reputation.

In a civilized society police cannot arrest a citizen without a court order, unless there is clear evidence the person has committed a crime or is about to commit a crime, AND police will inform the person right away why she's being arrested and her rights!

Which law did they break?

You went further to link it to the possibility of arresting Oseni - is Oseni a wanted person or a suspect due for arrest? Why can't you situate events in their proper context?
