RommyNel:

I included police character but I think it was useless. IRCC doesn't need PCC, so if you haven't done it, then don't do it, it is a waste of money. IRCC has their own internal means of doing background check.

Docs submitted:

- LOA/Admission letter, the admission came with 22500 CAD pa in support for living expenses for the PhD and a part tuition award (not full tuition waiver but the leftover can be covered from the faculty support)
- Quebec Certificate of acceptance
- Photo copy of data pages of all passports and pages with previous visa stamp and travel History (I previously studied and lived in Europe for close to 7 years)
- Resident permit photocopies for the two European countries I lived in.
- Marriage certificate
-SOP/Letter of explanation (4 pages with headings)
- Landed property with docs of valuation worth over N35m
- POF with bank letter head. The statement 8 month turnover is over N83m with balance of over N19m (I applied when exchange rate was at the highest level. I didn't attach any document evidence of source of income I only mentioned them in the SOP.
-Dom account statement with balance of just about 1600 USD, again no documentary proof of source of fund - just a mention.
- Exchange rate converter
- CAC company registration
-Consent letter from my wife and in the letter she attached three pictures, one from each of our court wedding, traditional marriage and church wedding. Then another picture showing us and my three kids).
- proof of payment of acceptance deposit (250 CAD)
-Screenshot of fulfilling of admission conditions (out of three universities I attended two sent original transcripts and the third one was in progress - one Nigerian Uni and two European Universities). I also explained this in my SOP.

- Police character certificate (this was unnecessary waste of money - don't do it).

-University transcripts and degree certificates
-NYSC certificate (this was unnecessary in my opinion)

These are the much I can remember for now.

. Congratulations bro, there is no how u won't get approval with all these.

Guys please anyone who did upfront medical, do you get the results same day? Is it still advisable to do upfront or submit application without it and wait for IRCC request? TIA

Hello all, I am asking on behalf if a friend who's brother will be presented as sponsor.

Funds will be gathered from various people and paid into the sponsors account. Then sponsor will then transfer to his account as the applicant.

The questions are

Is the sponsors own bank statement required?

Does the sponsor have to provide any further documentation as to where the money came from?

When does the funds need to be transfered and how long will it be in the applicants account?

Hey everyone. So I'm currently trying to apply to canada with a student visa but I've been hearing they are rejecting people due to overpopulation so my hearts been a bit unsettled cuz I rlly don't want to skl In nigeria. My older sister is already in canada so I rlly want to see her. I got accepted to two schools but I'm going to nigara college and I applied for these schools using my waec result and got accepted in maybe 2 or one week. It was miracle but now I'm struggling due to nigerias weak exchange rate to pay fees because apparently canada asked fees to be paid in full instead of half ..is this true?
Also let's say I pay fees by May 10 and by God's grace and send in the whole application to be processed. Would I be able to get student visa before September and my mom is planning to apply for visitors visa. Would she be able to get and mind you she's been rejected before because she wanted to carry a dependent (my youngest sister)when my sister was travelling at first.
I hope to hear back from someone willing to answer me . Thank you!!!!!

i will suggest your mum should hold till you get your visa.

Know at the back of your mind that Canada don't reject visa if all criteria are met and never listen to nay sayers, be positive at all cost because that what you need.

I wouldn't know if you will get visa before September because only your admission to the school of your choice will determine the duration of your visa approval, therefore apply now and shoot your goals no one's what rules canada will bring.

wish you success

Hello house please I have 2 questions regarding study permit application
1. Does the tuition and living expenses you show on your bank statement that you submit need to remain in the account till visa is granted?

2. If you have a sibling in Canada that’s a permanent resident and works full time can they serve as your sponsor? And how does that work if it’s possible
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Deeegbee: 2:44am On Apr 22
I’m offering short term accommodation (few days to some weeks) to any student landing in Calgary, Alberta. The home is located at the City Centre with only 12 mins drive to both the University of Calgary and Bow Valley College in Downtown Calgary. Just 14 mins drive to ABM College in NE Calgary, 15 mins drive to SAIT and 8 mins drive to Mount Royal University. I can also offer to pick you up from the Airport for free. You can shoot me a mail at dee.egbee@gmail.com for bookings.

Answers;

1. it is advisable to let the money remain in your account until decision is made, recently my spouse got a request as regards this to submit SOA after 17weeks+ of submitting the study permit application. so its either u invest your POF or let it be in the account you never know what would come up from VOs.
2. yes of course and that will largely depend on their earnings capacity.

your spouse was asked to resubmit her statement of account 17 weeks after she initially submitted it the first time in her application?

And secondly, if my sibling in Canada is serving as my sponsor, does he need to have the total money needed in his available balance?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 10:46am On Apr 22
1. The sponsor doesn't need to submit SOA
2. Yes, the PA needs to prove the relationship with the sponsor and source of funds
3. The funds should be transferred immediately if it is available, he can leave the funds until he gets a decision based on the application
