Oh I'm over joyed with your reply. Thank you for throwing some light on this thread and for the enlightenment. My prayer everyday is patience and favour. You're right when you said they've made decision on my case long ago that they are waiting for the time to lapse. My 19 weeks will lapse tomorrow, still they've not rang me yet. Should I send Tribunal email through customer services or ring them directly? Mirabeelz did say to me ring the Embassy to find out things for myself, that she rang them and was told to give them a month and they will get back to her. I will ring the Embassy to find out if my bundle was actually sent to them for review. Please kindly furnish me with the email address I can send my complain to. I hope when I start complaining its not going to affect my case? Thank you very much johnwray you made me leap for joy. Thanks for the correction about the 19 weeks, its noted. Cheers.

I feel sorry for new applicant for the stress they have to go through in obtaining a UK settlement visa. What a world? The Tories are always very strict in Government. The rules are nightmares. I'm short of words. God is our help, and we shall not be afraid of the rules of Man rather we should be afraid of the rules made by God. I know we shall all be called to pick up our visa and all these hullabaloo will be history in our lives. I love you all. Cheers.

My husband submitted his application after easter. I know its not been up to one month but I'm getting scared with all these stories. We meet the new financial requirement (which seems to be the UKBA's major sticking point) and have submitted all the necessary documents - i'm really worried.

Thank you Johnwray for your advice. I did rang the Embassy today Lo and Behold I was told my name is among the people to be called to submit their passport next week. But I pleaded with the young man to allow me submit this week he said no they will ring me, as I was talking to the young man I was praying. Guess what he said madam the protocol is for us to ring first, well, you can submit your passport tomorrow between 10am and 2pm or whenever you can. But a friend said tomorrow is bank holiday in Nigeria that means I will submit it on thursday morning. Praise Jesus. This is my little good news. Thank you guys for all your support and kind words. Thanks for the information with regards to where the visas go for processing. That explains why it takes two weeks for the payment to be processing based on the time the diplomatic post takes to get to Sheffield and then the four weeks for it to return back after getting processed. I always thought that new applications sit on some bodies desk for six weeks!

Mirabeelz advice me to ring the Embassy I did but all to no avail. Later you advice me to complain to the Tribunal and copy Embassy, a pastor said to me last week sunday that the spirit of God said I should ring the Embassy that my papers are ready for collection, I looked at the pastor said thank you and walked away. When johnwray insisted I make a complaint I summon up courage and rang them today and got a lovely news from BDHC. Thank you Johnwray for you gave me the zeal to take the bull by the horn. I appreciate your words, thank you once again. Cheers

I pray my visa take less than 2 weeks O. Just kidding, standard minimum time is 2 weeks. God bless dearie, I am here for you. Love you. Cheers.

The one person who brought so much hope to my heart when I was scared and worried,when I first joined this forum with all my questions and troubles you not only had time to reply me,you also made me believe our God is able and made me realize how I needed not to be worried.Youv been there for all of us and have been a blessing to many for that and more God bless you and do for you as your mouth speaketh and your heart desire,visa in less than two weeks is a possibility with Him,there is nothing impossible with Him,The God of Zion has risen and shown you favour;psalm 102:13.He is able to do that which this natural mind cannot understand,so if you desire to have your visa in less than two weeks, just ask Him like youv been doing always and watch Him step up your process,He's already shown you His abilities by stepping you a week ahead.you were to be called next week,but you submitting your passport this week,Dats powerful and supernaturally Devine...I believe its possible.I receive the wisdom of God from your mouth in Jesus name,amen.And I Will do just as you say,thanks a lot for everything my lawyer..LOL.

@aliesto

Here are the documents required of visa applicants of every category.
This article is subject to modification and updates: you're free to ask questions if you're not clear.

* Invitation letter or accommodation details from the country you intend to visit;
* (If on invitation by an individual,) a copy of the bio-data page of the passport of the person inviting you.
* Your national passport or travel document with at least 6 months to expiration;
* (If you are an alien resident in the country that you are applying from,) evidence of permission to remain in the country: ie, a residence permit or an appropriate long-term visa;
* Passport sized colour photographs, not more than 6 months old;
* (If employed,) a letter from your employer granting leave of absence from your job for a specified period. The letter should also say how long you have been employed by that employer, in what job(s) and should indicate when you are expected back at work;
* (If sent or sponsored by your employer,) the evidence letter to this effect; expected to demonstrate the reasons and benefits for sponsoring you;
* (If sent or sponsored by your employer,) the company's financial statement with evidence of fund availability for your own use;
* (If self-employed,) evidence of your business activities and financial standing;
* (If self employed or if applicable to you as an employee,) your tax clearance certificate to show your tax compliance level and also your income;
* (If a student,) a letter from your school stating what course you are on, its start and finish dates and the dates of the holiday period during which you intend to travel abroad;
Note: if you are not working you should include financial documents of the person who is supporting you; if someone else is paying for your trip, You would be expected to explain why you are being sponsored and to demonstrate how your sponsor will benefit from your trip.
* (If applicable,) evidence of any property you own in your home country (if applicable)
Note: the property is expected to represent anything that could be considered a tie; such property may not be an isolated land or building that are not deemed to be taking more of your responsibilities: it is different if you own (let's say) business property that requires your obligatory management;
* Details of any firm travel plans you have made, ie itinerary:
Warning! Do not book a flight because, you will forfeit your money if your visa is refused. Itinerary does not only mean flight ticket, it means travel plans which are, the preparations that you have put in place: such could be site seeing or tour guide arrangements, or onward flight tickets if applying for a transit or stopover visa;
* Bank statements showing up to six months transaction details, must show sources of income:
Warning! Avoid Money Lodgement, you will be refused without question.
* (If applicable,) evidence of any income from other sources e.g. friends, family, savings, property etc
* (If applicable and/or if the purpose of the trip has got something to do with family,) Evidence of family relationship and marital status ie Birth Certificate and/or Marriage or Civil Partnership Certificate, divorce certificate, death certificate (of spouse)
* (If applying to join a spouse,) Evidence of relationship and communications or correspondences with your spouse: ie telephone details; emails; posts or/and photos of both of you together.
* (If applying to join a spouse or family,) Birth certificate or Age Declaration document
* It is very important to be able to show Ties or Obligations to return to.
Note: Although, family or social ties and responsibilities are recommended, but logically, family ties aren't considered as strong as other ties because, there are vast cases of seekers involving in immigration fights to bring their family to join them, but yet, the magnitude of the family may be considered
* (If an ex-convict) The official record of any conviction(s), detailing the crime(s) you were convicted of and the sentence(s) you received
* The appropriate fee
Note: You must provide original documents. Failure to submit original documents may mean your application is delayed or refused.
HARD DOCUMENTS are documents that carry Security Authentication; or Stamps; or Seals; or Signatures; or Apostiles, etc: (For example; a Marriage Certificate), such documents must be submitted in their original states. Any other document that does not carry any of the mentioned authentication is allowed to be submitted in photocopy state: Your hard documents will be returned back to you in due time.

God bless you for rejoicing with me. Oh Femi when I was told to submit my passport I danced like David danced according to the Bible...ah ha ha ha. I got a relief. So the next step is for the visa to be issued, I can see its time consuming also. My friend got her visa exactly 10 working days. Another thread mate forum name is erico2k2 got his visa exactly a month, though he said he. Was given exactly a month because his wife threatened to go to her local MP in London. Normal protocol is minimum 2 weeks and Maximum 6 weeks. You can ring them to find out if you want to, that was what I did in my case and I got good news, if I had waited they would have rang me mid May to submit my passport, but God favoured me with good news and joy. Ring them and see how it goes. They must have finished with your visa the delay is for them to ring you, so give it a try. Cheers.

Thank you Mario. Your wife's refusal is same as mine isn't it? Or was she refused on 2 or 3 grounds? My refusal was on the ground of no evidence of communication since my husband left for UK. I hope that is same ground as your wife's? If yes, I only provided emails and money transfer documents that's all. If its just on this ground and you've provided all relevant documents I just wonder why your case will be listed for court hearing. I assure you inshallah even if it goes to court for hearing Allah will favour you through the judge and your appeal will be allowed inshallah. Trust Allah he's watching over your case right now and he will make you beam with smile trust me. Allahakbar. I am still here with you in truth and in spirit. Take care. Cheers.
